    End of the day a slap on the wrist and a small fine isn't enough to deter anyone from shoplifting. Give bigger consequences to peoples actions and this would change.

    • @michaeljohndennis2231
      @michaeljohndennis2231 7 месяцев назад

      The penalties for any form of shoplifting need to become far more severe, to act as both an example to others and as a deterrent - unlimited fines and unlimited jail time is a good start, as well as far harsher prison regimes, with any escape attempts, riots, etc in prisons met with uncompromising severity, which cannot be harsh enough - all prisons should be maximum security as minimum, even for the most “minor” offences

    They need to be taking advice from Andrew Tate on how best to tackle this problem - I’ve been hearing from Ireland how since Covid, they have deployed armed Police into stores to tackle shoplifting head on in a firm and uncompromising manner - respect for the law can ONLY be learned through fear of the law AND of the consequences of breaking the law - I’ve worked in supermarket retailing for 30 years and the penalties for shoplifting are just not severe enough and not even jail time is a deterrent, because prison regimes are simply not harsh enough - we need to look at far harsher punishments for shoplifting - and rather than using emotional language like “intimidation” (which itself is a good thing) it should be about prevention, enforcement and deterrent, which is why ALL U.K. police forces MUST be routinely and visibly armed in our city centres - these feral little tikes were never properly “put in thier place” as they should have been, a long time ago - it really is time to stop messing about and start to deal properly and far more severely with this problem
