sooo, kinda did the thing just recently, height was taken at the first station already, and the next step was introduce yourself and your hobby which was in groups of 10, I have honestly no clue their selection criteria as it seemed they only selected the people mostly based on age? as there was a lady who spoke very well and all but wasn't selected, they only selected people in their early 20s.
thanks for sharing your experience! I get what you mean... it can be tricky unfortunately to know why one is/isn't selected. while there are definitely certain criteria they look for, the evaluation process is still subjective at the end. or maybe they see what we don't see :) hope it went well for you by the way!
Hi Febby, ❤ May I ask, from step 1 to step 7, how long will be the whole duration? A few weeks or a month? Does any of the steps/interviews happen on the same day?
I passed all stages and have done my medical, but haven’t heard anything from them until today 🙁 It’s been two months since medical. I have no idea whether i should continue wait or reapply
samee i did my medical since june and have not gotten any reply i did read some blogs that it could take up to 3 months after the medical so im not sure if i should wait any advice on this? @febby lyan
Hi Febby, I’m 52 now and I got the opportunity to have a face to face interview from Singapore Airlines after my submission of my cv and video interview. I would appreciate if you could tell me how old is the maximum age for the current cabin crew. Do you think that there is a chance for me?
If you’re a special Constable, reservist or member of the Royal Observer Corps, would you have a greater chance of getting in? Also, as you’re dealing with children, vulnerable adults, VIPs, government documents, would you have to undergo a DBS check?
Hi, Ms.Lyan I have few questions regarding hiring process with Singapore airlines. What should be the (BMI) range? Any specific weight? In order to fit in that kebaya. What are the required medical tests for candidates? I'm asking to ensure I'm fully prepared for all aspects of the application process Recently got an email for in person interview. I look forward to your response! Thank you!
Febby, for debate session & panel interview, can open the phone, write stuff on paper and then give our answer? And what if BMI just little bit above 25, like 26.3?
hey! unfortunately, it's pretty spontaneous and impromptu as far as I know. In terms of BMI, I suggest getting it to below the threshold if possible before the interview day, because they could be pretty strict with stuff like height, weight, and skin complexion. all the best!
Hi febby , im actually preparing for next interview for sq All my qualifications are there just 1 tiny thing , you said visible tattoo which means is it cover my tattoo with my sleeves during interview
I think it might be an issue depending on where it is exactly and how big it is - the general rule of thumb is the tattoo must not be visible when you are in uniform
@@febbylyan hi thanks for replying , currently I have 2 tattoos which is left hand just bottom side of the watches area , next right arm os the spot we usually get our blood donation area , im Already in the process of removing my tattoos for the sake of my dreams
Here is my interview experience with Singapore airlines my interview was on 7th July 2023 in Mumbai ( it would be long paragraph sorry in advance) First i applied online and got hirevu link for online interview after 1 month and after 25-30 days i got mail for one to one interview date. On the face to face interview date: first they will check your height and collect the form which you have to carry which would be already sent you via mail. Second was GD round (all 5 of us cleared it) Topic- Money buys happiness or not Third round was one on one( I was asked questions according to my experience) Fourth round was Bmi,Uniform and scars and stuff. Now here is where most of girls were disqualified because first thing is you have to be extremely skinny to fit into there uniform because their M is actually S size for us indian and plus they don’t have any L or XL size uniform. So even if you fit into their bmi range and still don’t fit in there uniform they will not select and ask you to leave then and there. Also they are extremely strict about scars on legs, hands etc. You should not even have little bump on your face or else they are very quick to not select you. Few things that I noticed during the interview which you should consider before going for the interview - 1You have to fit have the minimum height which is required or else they will ask you to leave without giving you chance to even give interview 2 They were selecting most of the girls in GD so it’s quite easy to clear that round 3 During my interview most of the experience crews were from indigo airlines and trust me when I say this they didn’t select even a single indigo experience crew all of them were asked to leave after one to one round. (Idk why but other airlines crew were selected it was just indigo experienced crews who were not selected) 4. Now this is the most important point when i this i actually mean it and cannot insist on this enough that is you have to be SKINNY and for that matter if you are extremely skinny that would be bonus point for you!!!! It’s very difficult to fit into there uniform because their uniform sizes are extremely small. So it’s very difficult to fit into their uniform. 5 Make sure your skin is good your hair is good because they are going to check even the tiniest thing. 6. Even if you clear all this and make it till the end and pass the interview their would be medicals test and if you fail in that there is no other chance they don’t give you time or ask you to do retest like other airlines.Medicals is done just once and if you don’t clear all the tests that’s it you are back to square one. This was my experience and observations with Singapore airlines cabin crew by no means I’m trying to demotivate or talk about the company because I’m sure they might have their own reasons but i realised Singapore airlines one of those airlines who is promoting yet another toxic beauty standard and that is to be SKINNY no matter how good you do in the interview but if you don’t have skinny body they will not select you and even after all this they won’t give you any chance to do retest of anything incase you fail in medicals.
@@Liza-mn2vc, It’s GREAT to hear that in some parts of the world, companies can establish “beauty” standards unlike America where flight attendants are overweight, short, tattoo laden with tattoos on their face, they lack hygiene and often can’t speak basic English and look like they just ate at 22 Las Vegas buffets. This is why I’m a “Kris Flyer Gold” and spend between $30k-$60k USD per year on Singapore Airlines. Their flight attendants are the brightest, most beautiful, and helpful flight attendants in the world whose primary purpose is OUR/MY safety! I for one am HAPPY that Singapore has high standards unlike the “woke” Americans.
@@alyonapetrova694 hehe yes Singapore airlines sure has good crew management when it comes to representing their airline.I haven’t got any opportunity to fly with any American airlines yet but won’t mind giving it a shot ☺️
It's really like a beauty contest or modelling job application in the end from my own experience coz you can have all the right skills n emotional intelligence for the job but if you ain't got the height looks size etc you're out ! This is the most toxic and unfair discriminative part of the interview . You will see people who just look good handsome /pretty types have the height etc getting through as they have advantage of their genes over the others not fortunate enough to have those genes. Life isn't fair and that's the biggest lesson from such interviews.
hey! the process (except for the medical check up) took one day for me - it was an entire day of interviews with one step after another as I progressed through the process
How long did it take to be invited interview after submit resume ?🥹 it’s been one week+ since I submitted resume but never receive anything so I’m worrying whether my resume already fail or no 😢

Hi ma'am is it like we have to relocate to Singapore can't they place is in India
Another question, I was told that the female flight attendants had to style their hair a certain way, is that true?

hello! can i ask how long this interview process took?
hey! the process (except for the medical check up) took one day for me - it was an entire day of interviews with one step after another as I progressed through the process
Do they provide accommodation for cabin crew?
they don’t no, you’d be expected to figure that out yourself
Hi dear, need to tie hair? And compulsory to wear skirt? How about you?
hey! no, there is no need to tie your hair, and it is not mandatory to wear skirts for the interview either. hope this helps :)
Mam how can I give Sia interview if I'm already working as cabin crew
Will i get a day off so that I can give the interview?????
How about acne scars?
Is it not allowed?
it depends on how severe or obvious it is! if it's concealable with concealer, it might still be fine :)
Can a person with hiv join the airlines?
Im here to answer ur question and the answer is no. You won’t pass the medical check up, i’m sorry :(
Can a Sri Lankan apply for cabin crew (Singapore)
not that I know of honestly but you can double check on their website just to be sure!
Hi would like to ask if my prescription is 600 does it affect anything? Or would i be disqualified because of this?
hi! I don't remember having an eye exam and I don't think it would affect your application, since they allow the crew members to wear contact lens
Are you Canadian or American ?
neither :)
