High cost of living and the Indians are taking over the country

  • @Franzi_Ziska

For me as a German 28% taxes with an income of 63000$ a year, are seeming very low. Here in Germany you have to pay about 20% for social security + taxes. If you earn about 30000$ a year you have to pay about 10% income tax + 19% value added taxes + 20% for social security. If you earn 63000$ you have to pay about 40% taxes + social security and value added taxes. But when I did hear the costs just for rent, people in Canada have to pay, I understand that even 28% are hard. I am renting a 2 room appartment for 500$ in a normal town and I think from what I did hear, I would have a higher standard of living, even if I earn 1500$ after taxes a month, which is a low income, if you're working full time in Germany. And if I would live in a more expensive town or city, the country would help me with my rent, if I have a low income.

How to network via online? I rarely go out because of budget constraints. Not really sure if randomly adding connections in linked really work. I feel stuck finding a job and with all restrictions and recent changes in policy for foreign workers in Canada, I'm losing hope to land in any job right now.

in canada my rent has doubled in last 5 years. Food price has gone up 4x, gas price at all time highs, but min wage, or pay from jobs has not gone up at all. 5 years ago I was able to barely make a little bit of savings, but now, I spend all money on bills, and have nothing left over to save. I never eat out, go out, do any activities, I work and sleep and play video games, and no matter what I do, I just cannot save anything. I got really hard jobs like running gravel in a wheel barrel, and moving, and I get the same pay at these jobs as I did like 20 years ago.W ages ARE NOT going up at all but all bills are.

Let me get this straight. You came here. You studied here. You found a job here. Four years later you’re finding the country isn’t giving you enough. Not enough “opportunity”. Now you’re leaving. Vancouver is a pin point on the map of Canada. Vancouver (and Toronto) isn’t all of Canada, and CBC is hardly the reliable source it once was. If you don’t want to help build Canada, participate in the democratic process, and build a life in Canada, fair enough. You probably should leave.

Great points. But I think you should’ve included a section on explaining the ‘Canadian Experience’ requirement that employers often give as a reason for not hiring otherwise qualified immigrants. And then of course give some strategies for countering this objection. Far too many of my immigrant friends are caught off-guard by this requirement. Especially as it means having to work up to two years in a retail or manual labour job before they can be considered for a professional role.

This comment is not address to the fine lady on the video. If anyone not born in Canada does not like it (weather, societal values -respect towards women free decision making, towards lgbtq, love for dogs, free speech, sexual education, history, political system, taxes, government intervention, etc.) then leave! No one is pointing a gun to their heads to keep them in the country. They really are free to go. Stop whining, take up responsibility for your own life and leave!

I appreciate your content on Express Entry, but there’s a major gap that I, and many others, are struggling with. I only have 1560 hours of continuous student skilled work experience in Canada, which meets the minimum eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program but doesn’t qualify for points under work experience. I’m trying to create my EE profile to be considered under FSW, not Canadian Experience Class (CEC), but the options are confusing. There’s no clear guidance on how to ensure this experience counts only for minimum eligibility without earning points. It would be super helpful if you could make a detailed video on this topic, as it’s a unique but common issue that’s not being addressed. Thanks!

I pay taxes as much as anyone. My salary gets me through the month and I can't have any savings. I live in a 1 room + 1 bathroom apartment that doesn't even have a kitchen. I studied for 3 years through the lockdowns to get a better paying job, but for every single job there are at least 300 applicants. Due to all the stress and economic problems, I recently had a hormonal imbalance and tried to find a doctor. After 14 months and 5 referrals I finally found a specialist. It turns out that my condition "isn't covered" by the government and I had to shell out $500 for every injection despite paying exorbitant taxes for the promise of "free" healthcare. I used to work in another country and used to drive a brand new Nissan Maxima. I thought that migrating to Canada would be mutually beneficial to both myself and the country. It turns out that Canada is a scam. I came here with almost $90,000 and now living paycheck to paycheck. Now I'm looking for every opportunity to escape but can't even afford moving away. Avoid coming here at all costs.

I live in Northern Ontario. I didn't update my passport so all of my disability papers and history are at the hospital. The doctor says it's not a good idea for me to move. So I'm stuck here for life. I do get free medications, free dental plan, free emergency visits, free psychiatrist appointments, free visits to my family doctor and a free disability cheque. So, on the contrary, I got it made here! No use complaining when Canadian Healthcare literally hands things to you without paying. They even deliver my meds!

the reason is obvious . thousands of Indians came here and took over all of the job positions in the market , making so much trouble with housing , making the insurance rates increase due to car stealing and carjacking which again Indians and Pakistani people are mainly committing . You just need to go see Brampton , Mississauga ,Pickering ,… don’t know whether you are in Canada or in India .
