Some food for thought: - Canada is a good place if you work in a government position in any of the dept, including education. - You are a person who needs welfare or have underlying medical conditions and need to access healthcare frequently. - You have family and friends here and are of a culture that values family ties over individual success. These are good reasons to stay behind in Canada.
Do it! IMO: Reason 1) Doesn't matter - you do you. I am in Canada and on FIRE path, doesn't bother me that other are not doing it Reason 2) Agreed - you can find dynamism in Canadian teams working on US clients / projects. But yeah go to the US at that point ! Reason 3) 100% agree - entrepreneurship is dead in Canada, it sucks I'm staying for my family, but id leave if I could
I left Canada, but for different reasons than you. I was able to cut short 20 additional years of working by moving to a low cost-of-living country. You seem like you have an entrepreneurial spirit, so I would suggest Asia for you. Canada doesn't reward entrepreneurism due to high barriers to entry ($$$ start-up costs, required licenses, oligopoly-structured economy) and high taxes that drain your profits.
Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts. It's not an easy decision to leave a country, especially one like Canada that many view as a land of opportunity. I appreciate how you’ve likely weighed the pros and cons of staying versus leaving. Could you share more about what’s influencing your decision-like career prospects, cost of living, or personal fulfillment? Wishing you the best in figuring out what’s right for you!
Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing your perspective! What's influencing me is really the pros and cons of each place and ultimately, like I shared in the video - it all comes down to the path that I eventually choose to pursue :)
I am subscribed from the video "why people are leaving Canada". I am an international students(level1) of Canada my purpose is stay here. But I wanna leave now, I have the same reason, I have entrepreneurial spirit. Just suitable for government position or have children
It's more about what I shared in the final thoughts section of this video - plus, moving across the world is a big and costly decision with the opportunity cost and time investment, so it has to be a super well-thought-out move for the season of life that I am in
@@febbylyan You seemed like a very capable person so I'm sure whatever your next destination is, you will find success (and spend less money in the process most likely). Just from personal experience I would say whatever you want to try, do it while you're still young. Best of luck on your future whatever your decision is.
This is terrible i'm from chile in a moment of My life i thinking to travel to Canadá but, there a Lot of videos on RUclips that said Canadá is not the same country political and economic problems very scary thanks for the information
I love your videos ❤ you are absolutely fantastic! 🎉 Retirement plans often feel like a scam, as inflation alone erodes their value over time. Building wealth independently is the way to go and retire at age fifty, but also incredibly challenging. Unforeseen events can devastate livelihoods, as we saw with Canada’s lockdown policies, which pushed an estimated 80,000-90,000 otherwise well to do self-employed individuals into homelessness. Much of this resulted in ‘hidden’ homelessness, with people living in their cars or resorting to couch surfing. If I could leave Canada, I would consider building wealth in Russia. As a native English speaker with high end digital tech skills, I believe I could thrive there by taking advantage of their special programs and growing economic opportunities. Alternatively, moving to digital nomad hubs in Asia or South America seems like a viable option for both the present and the future. I think! 🤔" No one I know has been able to build substantial wealth solely through employment. However, a stable job can provide a solid foundation for generating multiple income streams. Another great option, especially for family-oriented individuals, is to get involved in local politics, such as serving as a school board trustee or municipal councillor. Would I leave Canada if I can? Absolutely! 😎
Aww thanks for the kind words as always and for sharing your pov! Agreed with what you said that a stable job can be a stepping stone to build more income streams. Just curious though - why Russia?

All 3 reasons sound like great reasons to leave, so what's holding you back?
I wanna ask too.

Your life changes over time. At some point, you might give priorities to your husband or your children.
me 2!
Another great video
I think Canada is only worth it if you have kids.
Why if she has only kids?
You should. Just leave.
