How come nobody ever talks about compressor size? Knowing lbs per minute will tell you everything you need to know about spool time, max horsepower, etc

Do you guys have any comparisons of the TTE/Pure turbos to the relatively new APR DTR8868 direct fit? It can be fitted with just an intercooler and intake without fuelling or exhaust/dp upgrades. If I had to guess the result is probably a "stage 2+" feel in performance. Just weighing up my options right now. Cheers!

Really wish someone would do a comparison with the APR offering. I'm considering it as well since my plan is for 93 octane and it doesn't require map sensors, injectors, or a HPFP to achieve ~500whp which sounds great to me. With just a HPFP and e85 power jumps to 575whp. I do wonder what response is like on the DTR8868 vs the other popular offerings.

@@jacobl1702 Yep pretty sure I’m gonna go the APR route. Seen some good feedback on Audizine too.

Yep, DTR8868 is definitely on my radar as well. Lower barrier to entry and ground up new turbo with a larger ball bearing CHRA instead of modified factory housing.

Is there tuning files for either with the standard Catalyst? Ie apr you use standard cat for emissions but wondered if there are multiple tune files with 034 for standard vs non-standard cats.

Factory catalyst files are currently in development for our Stage 3 calibrations.

So the 810 had more midrage power as well then, Not just peak?

That is correct, it is a larger, more efficient turbo

For stage 3 Pure 750 what is the hp and tq on the standard output file vs the high output file? And also would I be able to just upgrade the HPFP and the 4 bar MAP sensors to run the Pure 750 on the standard output file?

The Stage 3 Standard and High Output Files utilize the same hardware requirements. The Standard Output files generate ~85whp less than the High Output files.

Is there a difference in quality or reliability between the 2 turbos? I’m going to stay on 93
so spending an extra 1k for 10 extra horsepower doesn’t really make sense to me

For 91/93 you are better off with the Pure750, based on the fact the turbo has more blades. The TTE810 works best with E70/E85 fuel. Since it has less blades for more air flow, it needs more fuel. And when running E70/E85 you burn through more fuel, need more fuel, need more air flow. So Pure750 is best for 91/93, which is best for daily. Although, boost does come faster/less lag, and power stays longer during rpm range with the TTE on E70. TTE810 also is a little louder (some like that). Better mid-range power. The TTE810 spools quicker on E70.

In terms of reliability, we've found all three of the hybrid turbo options we offer, TTE710, TTE810, and the Pure750, to offer the same level of reliability when flashed with our software.
I recommend checking out our video about the longevity of your B9/B9.5 3.0T when running our Stage 3 tuning, regardless of the hybrid turbocharger: ruclips.net/video/rrmDynbVuLA/видео.html
