Of note, the ball machine can only be shipped to the US. That should probably be made a bit clearer - even on their website, it's not exactly front and centre, though they do tell you in their FAQ.

Great stuff Ryan. Was looking forward to seeing how the proton handles lobs in one of your videos. Can you incorporate higher lobs into other baseline/volley drills since you'll have to have the lob accessory attached? or you can only drill lobs by themselves? thanks

You can mix and match. The lob accessory doesn’t keep you from practicing other shots. The proton calculates the change of the lob accessory and easily feeds any other shot. This video was only for overheads so I only hit overheads. But, I’ll be sure to show using the proton for ground strokes, volleys, and overheads all in the same drill. Thanks so much! Do you have the proton?

@@2MinuteTennis Just ordered one 👍 yea it would be great to see volleys and lobs in the same drill. Just curious, If theres no change to other shots with the lob accessory on, why wouldn't you always want it on?

Great video! The overhead is one of the most underpracticed tennis shots in my opinion (along with the lob). Most coaches just say hit a serve and if they do teach it, they mention pointing at the ball. I probably practiced with 5 different coaches at one point and only one taught against the point. On the high lobs (especially outdoors looking into the sun), do you prefer to let the ball bounce or hit it beforehand? It seems that the coaches want us to take it as soon as possible (even if we have to make a long run or change direction to get there), but I seen videos and players that suggest otherwise. I also seen a lot of players hit an overhead from beyond the baseline and hit it into the net.

Letting it bounce is fine but you need to practice it. It’s easy to hit it into the net. So you have to aim higher over the net than you think. Go tour and precise with a friend. Let the high lob bounce, slice the overhead from the baseline, and aim about 4 feet over the net. It’ll be great. Thanks so much!!

Thank you for sharing the setting. Overhead is probably the single biggest weakness of this machine. Will give this a try.

Happy to help. Just create it in the “manual” setting. Super easy and then save it. Thanks!!
