I know you have used duratrax before but I'm glad you are using them now. A lot of people on RUclips use proline. It's nice to see you use a very tire company that is more affordable than proline
Honestly, the Duratrax/louise wheels are hands down the best on the market for the Xmaxx, super durable, not too much heavier than stock, and best of all, about half the price of stocks 😂
I been saying it for a while! Duratrax wheels are pretty dang good! I think you will continue to enjoy them. The guys over in Australia have them over there but they are called Louise X Cyclones and other styles by Louise and I think that's where they originally came from. They was rebranded for the U.S. Sales and renamed Duratrax. I will say that, Duratrax has never given me a problem. They are half the cost of Prolines and with how expensive things are now days. They save you a bunch of money and I love how they look! I will say this as well, with any tire, the more you put them threw harsh environments and torture. Any tire will give out. I think it's more of how you drive and what you put them threw. Also, to how well they was designed or glued while being made by it's distributor. I have been using Duratrax on my rigs and I can say that they do very well. What people do not understand in this hobby is, that no one drives the same. I have seen Prolines even bust or not do well by driving threw water or taken a major jump and not landing well. Prolines are great and Id never put them down but people need to at least try the Duratrax and not believe everything they hear. Some people are paid to tell you how well a product is.
I just put these on yesterday. My stocker had a blowout. I think these will definitely be more durable, but my truck won’t backflip anymore. I’m using the same ramp that I could get backflips on with no problem (20/50 gearing on stock electronics). I think the lack of ballooning really kills the backflip ability. The same thing happened on my Erevo when I strapped the tires with Kevlar twine. In my case no balloon =no backflips.
I tried them from what conclusion I can to is see lot people hate on them but first hand they ain't to bad just not for a major hoped up motor.good for first upgrade on stock car have few different sets on kids cars only issues I see so far is maybe glue coming loose .well keep up great work and nice day.
Awesome video as always sir. The duratrax 6 pack tires look awesome on the X. Got some good grip to them as well. A few extra nobs then the Pros I see. I like it...Will be ordering them later today. Glad you did the review and bash session.. always a great time in the back yard!! See the tree stump is still there 🤔. hook up a couple Xs and Kra8s to it..🤣🤣 they will get it out for ya.. I got to join the fun with your members club.. keep on throwing the dirt and BIG air under the tires. Have a good day bud 👍👍
I run the lock ups. I love them. The rims are a bit weak though. They tend to crack and break with hard landings. My set has lasted for a while now but I am noticing cracks and pieces of plastic missing around the inner beads.
That truck sounds like it is landing SOO Hard. It hurts to listen to it. Can't you soften it up a bit with heavier shock oil or springs or something? Or is it just the lexan body making all the noise? I love watching you play. You get so much enjoyment out of it. It brings a smile to my face.
Yep they’ll probably break. Mine have all kinds of cracks in them. I just keep glueing them back together lol. I love the pro line badlands but just wish they were a little bit lighter. Guess there’s a trade off either way.
I run the Duratrax lockups X 24mm belted tires on my Max 5 and 1100kv 5687 motor with 25/35 gearing. These tires offer a lot of value and durability for $100 for 4. I like them way better than the stock tires and even the proline badlands 4.3 thats were too heavy ándale stiff for bashing. Goods video as usual. I've only broken two rims during months of abuse. With one of them, I hit a curb going full speed. I actually got a triple backflip with the lockups. They become unglued in es in a while, so I have to be regluing them. No big deal
@@ExocagedRC no blow outs yet running castle 2028 800kv sensored 34/54 gearing. Was gonna go mod1.5 but still haven't blown any mod1 gears except the Traxxas junk pinion. I get my mod1 gears from some china company but they are thick as hell and hardened steel.
Let's see the proline masher x on xmaxx please do a comparison with masher x v stock tires v duratrax size and weight im getting ready to buy a new set it sure would be helpful with deciding what to get thanks 🙃
Hey there. I've just got a ftx outback geo crawler. Brushed motor. Was just wondering what mid priced esc I could use with it. If u had any ideas would be great to know. Thanks
I might of missed it, but what’s your gearing? I just bought another xmaxx with the max 5 and 1100kv in it, it’s geared with mod 1- 30/50. Think I’ll be good?
I need HELP , Please ...! LOL , I just bought the trenchers . Don't like them . What is the best tire for the xmaxx ? Everything is upgraded on the truck . 1100kv HW Max 6 , suspension , Mod 1.5 . I've wasted to much money on stuff that hasn't been used . Trenchers are still new . To big . I was looking at the power hobby tires and duratrax . Maybe the proline are best I don't know . HELP !!!
Don't know why they stopped making these from all the good things I've heard about them. Managed to find 2 different shops online that had 1 pair each, so I just ordered them. Hope they last.
What are your Ecs Settings ? Punch Breaking all of them please….. if you be so kind to share I have the same set up I’m putting together and your seems set up well. It would save me a lot of trial and error time. Thank you
Another paid review is my guessing bought these and they tore first bash session... Got maybe 20 mins out of them... But they do look awesome... At least that part of your review was true... Blah
Proline USED to have a great reputation. Up until they sold out to horizon hobby. Ill guarantee, soon their quality will get lesser. (Like everyone else HH commandeered)
I put a set of these but the the 3.8” for my Summit with 6S system in it. Love these things, great traction and last forever.
I have an Xmaxx on stock powder and it runs good on these tires I haven’t had a problem yet
I run the six packs Brock diesel was the one that recommended them and man there awesome talk about tearing up some lawn they bite super hard
I bought a set of these for my black Outcast. Going to Plasti Dip the wheels Burnt Copper Alloy.
that sounds like an awesome color

I like to save money too. Prolines just seem to be worth the extra money though
I’m running lockup x’s on my xmaxx had them on for a couple weeks now and love em! No issues yet! But I’m all stock as well!

It's a nice new tire. The grip looks very good. Thank you for sharing the test video. 👍👍😍😘
Did love the dance. Cracked me up.
I really like my hatchet X. I did have to put a bead of glue around each of them to keep them from de-beading.

Love the six pack tires. I am running a very similar set up to your on my Xmaxx 👍
Nice 👍

LOL yeah man, that stump will be there for a while until I can get something bigger than my Kubota to get that out of the way.
Those things look awesome my man

Thanks for the info
In the late 70s early 80 maybe till 90 s white letter tires were it.Wish they do more tires with the lettering
They are good tires. I blow them frequently but for $60 and a bottle of glue you can't ask for too much more
Nice looking set for the Xmas!
Xmaxx of course
Nicw run, currently look for new tires and rims for my maxx not sure which way to go yet !
Again, #1 today. Wide awake at 355am

I have the same set up. So they just came unglued and didn't rip right? After installing my 1100kv and 25/35 I blew 2 stock tires on the first jump!
@@sensi42000 Yeah they just become unglued. After like 5 runs it happens again unfortunately. So keep the tire glue handy.
Thanks. Great video. Just got the bowhouse and the riser. With the HW 1100kv, do you think 35/50 will be to much for the driveline and theses tires?
I run the lockup x belted on my xmaxx love em. 👍👍✌️✌️💪🤙
Awesome. No blowouts?
@@ExocagedRC I've got the lock up Xs and only thing that has happened is the inside cracked, but I put a piece of gorilla tape and no issues

I love'em, run these on a slash 4x4.
Nice control 👍 love my xmaxx same colour has urs lol so I know wot mine looks like in the air lol 😭
What do you use for fans on the xmaxx with the 5690
Great vid ! Just subbed !
Is it still easy to do backflips with duratrax wheels compared to stock?
Is there a way to use the Duratrax with the stock 17mm outputs? Maybe some kind of 24 mm nut that is 17mm on the inside?

My gearing is 26/46 or 1.77-1 yours is a bit faster at 1.66-1. Should be fine with that.
If you break these tires i would loom at the powerhobby scorpion or raptor XL tires for the xmaxx
I had the Scorpions I think it was, popped a belt in one of them, basically gave the set away after that.
@@ExocagedRC ouch, yeah i wouldnt blame you
Nice driving! Do you lock your center diff
Do you know how much they weigh?

I do to
I run the trenchers on mine and they are way too heavy. These are much lighter ya? Seem to be a great option
yeah I have seen the trenchers and they are just too much
Are these no longer available ? Just blew the me the other day and these tires are years old … super good tire
They had a big sale on them so I honestly don’t know.
Going back to stock tired of fixing hub carriers.
What are the weight difference ? rotational mass
Not sure but these are light.

Idk just about trade my losi drag car with like 10 passes on it and another body with it for a xmaxx….
Time for a servo upgrade
Can you run the masher x on the xmaxx in the next video id like to see how they perform on it...not any videos of them on it yet
yeah I should have that done soon

The Duratrax are priced right!
I think my punch is at 4 on this one.
👍👍👏
I jump my house with my XMAXX. Never blew a tire out. Broke parts. Proline tires suck. They weigh to much and that causes problems with the truck.
One m ore thing. Proline shocks cost $416.00 for 4! What a rip off. And now that Horizon Hobby owning Proline it will get worst.
DO NOT use these tires on the very heavy 8s Arrmas. They will crack with bad landings. Go for the proline mashers.
Another paid review is my guessing bought these and they tore first bash session... Got maybe 20 mins out of them... But they do look awesome... At least that part of your review was true... Blah
Another Badlands clone. Not an issue as they all look like motocross tires.
