I put the savox sb2290 in my xmaxx 5 years ago and never looked back. Like 555oz low and 694oz high. Snappy turning and can turn those prolines in almost all conditions from stand still.

Yeah I gotta do something the Traxxas stock and even Traxxas "upgrade 2085X" really sucks, I'm a Traxxas fan all the way, but they really dropped the ball o. The X size servo, I've gone through so many....great vid thanks, I come to you for the right thing to do!!!👍👍

I've got the reef smart 1100 in my xmaxx.. And its amazing. Got the Max 6 and stock motor. And no trimming it just dropped in.

Another great servo company is promodeler, I have one in my XMaxx and it's a beast!
Bro please take that Vitavon bulkhead off, every shot I see is you having to correct the front nose diving. All you really need is a good diff cover and maybe a HR flat plate underneath.....and shove a 4mm screw with got glue into that steering post(mod) under the front bulkhead to protect the plastic steering post snapping (Kevin Talbot Mod)

Which promoduler servo do you recommend?
@@zackskokan7229 they have a couple depending on your truck wieght but you cant go wrong with the DS1155BLHV servo it the 1155 oz/in torque and the most powerful they have
@@zackskokan7229 I have the older 600+oz in one, but John from promodeler reccomended the 900+ oz in one for the Xmaxx though the one I have is still more powerful than what 90% of guys are using out there. The 1155 I think is Overkill unless your running tons of weight and big trenchers but even the the 900+ one should be fine. His Servos are SOOOO over built internally that even the one I have has way tougher gears than ANYTHING on the market.

This hobby moves so fast there's absolutely no way to stay on top of everything. I would have kept the stock electronics until they died too.
I got reefs triple5 in mine. 555oz of torque really yanks those wheels back and forth.
Iv been wondering if you can get the reefs in the maxx as not long got one and the stock steering servo is shocking so thanks for the video 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Promodeler for me...no need to trim the chassis...which isn't something I want to do, direct power, and it fits! Also John is a great guy...

Should try a Hobbywing 10A BEC if you put a Raw 500 in Big Red. Get that full 8.4V!

Did you chew that plastic off with your dentures? Sw2290sg-be fits without chewing anything apart. Also use the promodeler horn. It is supported where factory one was. That’s not much of a upgrade speed yes, power not so much.
Are you saying the sw2290sg isn't powerful or speedy? I'm looking at that, this raw 500, and the agfrc A86BHMW.
You should check out the pro-modeler servo made for the xmaxx the gears are HUGE!

Sport? Trx4? I just put in an HK Hobbies 35kg in the Rebelcon and I’d assume it would work well for the sport too plus it’s good to 4S if you want to direct power it.

Yes it increases torque which increases speed but does it decrease the turn radius? If not, what’s the benefit vs. the cost?
Torque of a servo won’t affect turning radius, thats the down to end point adjustments and your differentials. More torque and speed helps the car go where you tell it to go, gives better handling. To me the biggest benefit of buying an expensive servo is the durability and replacability of gears And what not if they do strip. I bought cheap servos the first year into the hobby but ended up spending more on the replacements than I would have if I went expensive to begin with. Like everything in this hobby, it depends on how you run your cars. Cheap servos are fine if you’re not pushing them, but you get what you pay for

It’s just as good as it was new. The RAW500 is a legendary servo IMO.

There is only one style of horn made for the UDR.
