I’ve seen them locally and they are so big and balloon so bad they just didn’t work out. I think proline has a belted trencher now but I want those Masher X tires for the DBXLE and then something for this.
I'm running a motor mount in my xmaxx that comes with a whole metal top chassis brace as well that bolts to the top of the motor mount so the motor can't bend the motor mount. Looking forward to seeing this guy though👍👍✌️
The bowhoyse mount, fyi, also wont bend because the motor is strapped onto the mount, and sat firmly on the bottom of the mount, and it wont move a single bit up or down
I guess I'll go with this motor mount if I ever bend my WFO motor mount now that I'm getting triple backflips with my X-Maxx 🤣👍. That is my motor right there with 25/35 gearing. 56mph in dirt/grass.
@@FataL-Gr yep 100% correct, i recommend going 18/29 for the gearing, leave 1 teeth extra for a bit more freedom to adjust mesh, and also its a really good qweet spot for acceleration and top speed
This is just my opinion feel free to tell me if you think I am wrong😊 This is the same question every time someone upgrade to a bigger motor, any stock X Maxx would kill you on the racetrak I think, you cannot control all the power you got now, maybe with your Bluetooth module it is possible to adjust top speed and throttle...😉 Maybe a longer wheel bar would help, that would be fun to see. I always love your videos, you are very very honest and reliable....😉 Thank's Peter Denmark
Here’s the thing about that, a good driver will win over a bad driver with either truck. Stock or modded Xmaxx they do the same thing, most of it is in the driver.
Most X-Maxx’s will never see a track, but where you will notice a big difference is in general responsiveness when bashing, doing tricks in the air, and doing speed runs. I found that mine felt a lot more playful with an upgraded powertrain (with both the 1717 and 5687), and it was much more responsive in the air doing tricks off of jumps.
Looking for the best motor mount for the max6 100kv combo. You have probably tried a bunch... Which is your favorite and what gearing do you find works best? Thanks! :)

Hey man. I’ve tried the PowerHobby tires and broke a belt in my other Xmaxx so I’m a bit hesitant to try again. Proline has always worked great for me. I’m not sure just yet what I’m going to do with the stock system just yet.
I'm pretty sure if you just go into the Traxxas app and change the model in the receiver to something other than the XMaxx that doesn't have those sensors it won't have a problem without them anymore
U can't switch that receiver to any other model, I've tried with mine and asked traxxas. It's a safety feature just for the xmaxx to run that temp sensor apparently
I need a new heartbeat in my XMaxx as well. Stock system has lasted almost 20 packs 😳but it’s time for an upgrade!!!! 👍👍 Not sure what to go with yet but this setup runs good. I’m waiting on the Masher X tires as well. They look very promising given the lighter weight. I agree I’m not looking to win a speed contest with my XMaxx but I do want instant power from a big can in it for air control. So the Max 5, do you think it’s necessary with the 1100kv or could you run the max 6? Great video the low fast flip was awesome. Can it do standing backflips on concrete? 👊👊👍👍
@@runngunrc1991 already have 5 sets of the newer power hobby 3s twister fans. I have a set for my XMaxx setup just waiting. They blow serious air!!! Speed run test they pass with flying colors. Not sure if I want a cleaner XMaxx build where the Max 6 just drops in place with a 1650kv
Although HW sells the Max6 combo with the 1100, the Max6 is a really good esc but I believe the Max5 just runs it a bit better. That big 1100 has to be maxing out the Max6 I’d think.

Well the motor is good but keep a check on the bearings. I had the same issue with this orange Xmaxx but I replaced the gears and it’s been fine ever since.

Our mount support all of the stock gear combinations shown in the owner's manual. He was running a 46T spur with the 26T pinion. We will be releasing risers that will support taller gearing options for those who want even more speed. :-P

46t
