Beautiful run! I just recently put the finishing touches on my Xmaxx with the m2c beefcake chassis brace. Runnin the 1100kv hw combo. Wfo gears in 1.5 20-35. I swear that the chassis brace in combo with the cvd driveshaft has made the truck handle sooo much better. Even with the Widemaxx kit it was kind of a pregnant yak. Now with the full m2c setup, it’s so stiff that the suspension does its job better, the diffs work much better too. The constant chassis flex was causing weird power transfer. But now with it all stiff and straight I can lay into it and it handles like a big sports car. Incredible. With the M2C upgrades and the 1100kv setup, it’s finally what I always wanted my Xmaxx to be. It’s a proper performance truck now. Kudos! And thanks for showing us all the way to M2C performance and reliability! Finally!
Thanks Brother 🤗. Had to pin your comment because it eloquently describes exactly how I feel about this upgraded setup vs stock. Happy bashing Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊
I hate to jump into this post but thi was how my kratons were until i found this page. I saved my money basically order all the m2c parts I could talked with Rich and my car is a total animal. Thanks Rich for what all you have done to evolve this hobby. 👏
5:59 I know someone said this already but it’s super funny. “I’m gonna just putt around and take it easy.” Next clip is 4 backflips, nice taking it easy!!! Love your vids!!
"I'm gonna putt around a bit and take it easy" he says! Then proceeds to drive it like he stole it!! Dude, I love it!!! Amazing air control Rich, Great run!!!!!
Thanks so much John 🤗. Thank goodness for Gorilla tape 😂. Thought for sure I'd see a lipo go flying 👀. Bertha hung in tough despite some pretty hard hits. Truly appreciate it Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊
Word! Just picked up my first XMAXX! This video is inspiring to watch man. :) It's only my second r/c, but I can see I need a max5 and 1100kv sooner than later. I need to find a large collection of dirt/rubble mounds. That is an awesome spot!
Thanks so much Brother Aldo 😜. You know there's no taking it easy 😱🤣🤣. Had a Blast with Green Bertha. Glad I recovered her at the first spot 👀. Maybe I bumped the throttle trim, but she literally snuck off into the abyss. Complete twilight zone moment. So glad I found her 🙏. Really appreciate it Brother. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!! Bertha took another flogging out there 😂. So grateful I didn't lose her behind that debris pile way off from our bash spot 👀. She covered some serious distance 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Dang Rich!! You were sending Bertha like she is an 8th scale!! That was great!!! 💯 💯 That was a great bash as the those 2 spots. Driving and throttle control is always amazing!! Thanks for posting!! 😉
Thanks so very much Chad 🤗. I was literally jonesing to get out there and rip around 🚀🚀. So stoked to get Bertha running right with the upgrades and proper power!!! Really appreciate it Brother. 🍻😎💪👊👊
dude, I just love these videos. Stock X-Maxx and I freaking love it 99 percent of the time. I see you effortlessly pull a double backflip with very little hangtime. It reminds me of my Maxx. So much power for it's size and performs doubles with ease. the stock X-Maxx is so much fun for me, but I'd kill to do 40 and pull a freaking long ass wheelie like you can. haha
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. The stock setup is durable to a point. Just doesn't like huge sends and high speed wrecks 😱. Running big power is a complete Blast!!!! Just have to respect it and 100% forget the stock tires. They simply can't hang with raw torque. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Yes indeed Kimberly 😍. It's actually pretty incredible considering the chassis and bulkheads were failing regularly before. Big thanks to Mitch and Avery for transforming this platform!!! I can enjoy Bertha like a real basher now. 🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Woooow Brother Rich ✌👊😁 really impressive this x maxx, These upgrades that you have mounted are really good, they make it a beast. As always it is really a pleasure to see your videos, and your super send it. I hope everything is okay there 🤗
As always another great bashing session! I appreciate how you give a break down of your rigs. I just put in a max6 in the Xmaxx put silicone in the center diff with 100k front and rear as well. Didn’t have enough for a MAX5 1100kv combo but that is my next purchase. Then drop the max6 in the Talion and let it rip. Love when you said “I’m just gonna take it easy” and then proceed to launch the Xmaxx. 🚀 ✨
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!! That sounds like a great plan 👍. By the way, I'm a bargain shopper myself and the Leopard BL5 200A sometimes goes on sale at RCJuice. Much cheaper than the Max5 😍. The Max6 will work, but there's a noticable difference running 200A. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I love the XMAXX, it's my favorite basher. I have 5 of them. 1 is an original from 2015. I also have a T-MAX from 1999 that my dad gave me in great condition. It's the only Traxxas vehicles I own. I don't plan on getting a Sledge as I already have Kratons. You were really hucking that XMAXX. I thought it was going to start orbiting! 😂😂
Thanks so much Brother Avery 😜. Man it felt good to get Bertha back out again. Thanks to you and Mitch she's taking a serious beating and coming home in one piece!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Is there any truck you can't run like a pro lol. Your skills are amazing! Always excited when I see a new post from you. That's the best bash Ive seen with a xmaxx, killer run as always!!
Thanks so very much Michael 🤗. It's taken a while to get this truck where I wanted it. Fortunately, the upgrades and some tuning made a massive difference 😱. Truly appreciate the kind words Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I see lol! I was curious, does this setup have more top end? Or all over? I remember seeing on the old video temps were low with the other gearing
@@austins4859 this setup has way more top end and all around power. It does push temps higher of course. I'd probably recommend the Vitavon 25/35 gearing option with these electronics if running Duratrax or heavier wheels. I did notice some cogging with the Duratrax at one point.
Bro, One of the Sikkkkest xmaxx bashes I have seen😎👍 That triple was just massive and a few other right there with it, some sick Transitions there brother and man you just landed some crazy blind landings. Makes me want to get Green Machine out there.... Good to see my friend Bash on my bro
Thanks so much Brother Dennis 😜. I'm trying to push her to the limit every outing 🚀🚀. Thank goodness for proper M2C and other upgrades 😍. Bertha would break in 2 without them no question. So stoked about this set-up!!! She's definitely FUN with big power and the bits holding her together. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Do you by any chance remember the thickness of that Kydex on the bed of your XMaxx? Seems like a brilliant application to beef up the rear end of that body!
Thanks Dan 🤗. The Kydex has worked very well. Looks like it was 0.06 inch. Not sure this exact brand is currently available, but here's the link. www.amazon.com/HolsterSmith-KYDEX-Sheet-060-Black/dp/B07YX5RVCT/ref=pd_bap_m_csi_prsubs_0?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=w7Dof&content-id=amzn1.sym.af1b24cb-24c8-4c14-a68c-cd47995f55d6&pf_rd_p=af1b24cb-24c8-4c14-a68c-cd47995f55d6&pf_rd_r=4NDM7VZN744QR9J2YRSS&pd_rd_wg=E4JI3&pd_rd_r=2490a8c3-a410-433c-ad79-1c25b5b171d9
Bertha's back in action! EPIC rip with the Xmaxx Bro Rich. Huge sends and killer straightaways. Front flips all day 😜. The Xmaxx is holding strong 💪🤘. Mitch and Avery did a phenomenal job beefing this sucker up. Another awesome upload brother
Thanks so very much Brother Chris 😜!!!! Felt awesome to get Bertha back out 😍. She has power for days with this setup. Loving the Vitavon gears. 25/30 is a bit much with the 1100kv and bigger Duratrax. Feels perfect with the Backflips 🥰🥰. She had some major floaters out there 👀. Can't wait to get back out again. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Thank you Brother 👊. The XMaxx is a bit boring out of box. The stock gears are basically junk. With enough work, tuning, and upgrades she is a fun basher.
What's up brother it's been a little hope all is well. I am actually a big fan of the duratrax six pack x. For the money they make a great belted tire. You really are the man at pushing these damn things to their limits. Never fail to impress dude. I love wrenching on these darn things but the xmaxx was always a truck I hated to work on. I would pay 3k for it just to come done and bash ready. I had to change the servo as well once or twice on each of my maxxes and you are 100 percent correct that it's a huge pain in the ass. You be good bro and stay safe. As always thanks......
Thanks so much Chris 🤗. Yeah the Duratrax/Louise tires are a solid deal compared to Proline and other overpriced options out there. The XMaxx can be super frustrating to wrench on 😂. Definitely overrated in stock form. It takes a serious investment to fix the numerous weak spots and shortcomings 🤑. There's zero chance I every would've got one if it weren't for M2C Racing wanting help testing and developing properly engineered bits. Guys that claim it's the strongest RTR can kiss my ass 😂. Yes.... everyone has their own opinion and I respect that, but personal experience (hours and hours of wrenching, bashing, and observing) is how I base mine. Without proper upgrades Bertha can't hang. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Hi Rich, love your style, so amazing !! Which tire do you prefer for the xmaxx ? Copperheads or Backflips ? Is there one between those with better foam insert, that last in time ?
Running Vitavon 25/30 hardened steel mod 1.5 gears. They come as a set with steel shaft. 25/35 is probably better if you're planning to run huge heavy wheels with the 1100kv 5687.
Love The Videos Rich! You are a huge reason I pulled the Trigger and got me the XMAXX. I was on the fence too but the M2C talk got me there as it did you. This is my First Rig ever. Believe it or not. Huge Question. I went and got the Bertha Cover undercoated with 'Rhino' Bed Liner for durability. It now weighs 2.5 lbs. Do you think this will be an issue? Much Appreciation Brother! Keep up the Vids Please!
Thank you Brother 🤗. I wouldn't sweat the added weight with the bed liner. The Fireteam 6s body weighs 2lbs. Yes that's kinda heavy, but if you get more life out of the shell, it might be worth it. 🍻😎💪👊👊
You have some great throttle control man. You should be a racer. Your rig has to be way heavy now, it's amazing it's holding up to that extreme abuse your doing.
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. I use to race awhile back and then did track times with friends just for fun and bragging rights 😂. The upgrades honestly don't add crazy weight. The extra power, durability, and fun factor is well worth it 😍
What fluids do you recommend for backflips and bashing on the X-MAXX? The stock setup, and belter tires do not offer a whole lot of rotation in the air.
I recommend silicone ear plugs in the center diff, 500k front, and 200k rear. Also helps to advance the punch setting and gear up within reason for more wheel spin and air control.
Hey Rich, I have a quick question. Do you vent the tread on your belted proline 2.8 badland tires? Mine wobbles up and down like crazy at high speed and flutter. They have never been in water they are complete;y dry. Sorry for leaving a second comment. Appreciate your help. Thanks Rob.
Hey Rob 🤗. Don't ever hesitate to leave any comments or questions Brother 👊. Yes I vent all my bash tires including my belted ones. I tape over the rim holes and put 2 holes in each tire on opposite from each other. Hopefully that'll help the wobble. 🍻
1st off, I want to say how super impressed I am that you are using a session 5 gopro. That thing is so slow on uploading videos it makes me want to cry compared to a gopro9+ lol
Great video, do you still recommand the duratrax lockup X tires? does the hobbywing motor makes a difference compare to the 1100 kv motor that comes with the Xmaxx? thanks
Thanks Brother 🤗. The Hobbywing 5687 1100 definitely has more power than stock. I'd recommend the Proline MX57's over Duratrax. They're lighter and don't unglue like the Duratrax always seem to do. 🍻
Hey Rich, awesome vid as always brother! Need your opinion please - between the Xmaxx (with a wideMaxx kit) and an Outcast 8S what would be your choice and why? I’m debating between the two, I’ve got the Kraton 6s EXB running the Max6 combo right now and it’s awesome
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. My personal choice would be the Outcast 8s EXB RTR. Both the XMaxx and O8s are fun, but the Outcast handles WAY better and has a true large scale drivetrain with solid gears 💪. It also takes far more upgrades to make the XMaxx solid vs the O8s EXB. You'll hear tons of different opinions online, but this is from my own personal experience. Don't trust Traxxas only forum fanboy advice. I do like my XMaxx, but it's taken a crazy amount of modifying to make it reasonably durable for hardcore bashing. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 amazing! This is exactly what I needed to know and hear to be honest! They are both awesome rigs but I’m struggling for stock in the Uk for an outcast 8S EXB! I’ll keep a lookout - are you running stock internals in your O8S?!
Thanks Steven 🤗. I won't lie, Bertha has truly become a FUN rig with proper power and upgrades 😍. Handling is a bit stiff, but she's grown on me big-time. 🍻😎💪👊👊
You could certainly up the dampening with heavier oils, but we tuned the M2C pistons to work great with the stock 30 weight for simplicity. The machined Delrin O ring style slotted pistons are incredible 😍.
I’m looking for advice for my xmax What diff do you use in your xmax I’m new to having one but everything that you’ve put in your videos for your xMax I have inside mine, including the new shock tower stuff i’ve been told the new Vitavon V3‘s are good, but I haven’t bought them yet because they’re expensive but if that’s the case I’ll buy them but I need your advice. I’ve watching your videos and following your journey with your xMax it was one of the reason which inspired me to get an xMax ever since I can’t stop driving it,
I'm running 500k diff fluid front, 200k rear, and Silicone ear plugs center. I actually bought Vitavon spiral cut gears for my XRT, but haven't installed them yet. They look very well machined. Anything is better than the stock monkey metal 😂. I've replaced more ring gears than I want to remember. More so in the XRT, but the XMaxx is the same questionable junk metal with a limited lifespan. Definitely a far cry from hardened steel which a rig this size really deserves on 8s power.
@@richduperbash2966 yea I’m going to order the Vitavon gears Monday they look nice then ordering the hh diff case for it she’s definitely a blast to drive and gets a lot of looks when I drive it with my 5g fpv camera I built and programmed I have my license for what they call ham-radio so I can use towers so that helps I’ve drove this thing for 20miles straight with 4 batteries I programmed it to switch between four batteries to run. It’s running on an Andino board it’s pretty cool I need to put the video of me making if on RUclips or wherever but I just want to get The truck to where I can drive it fast and not have it blow the diff out 😊 so she out of order till I get all the parts: new spin gears-casing- fluid etc.. if I could send you pics of it I would I’ve put some time in to this truck the body I use for fpv camera has four fans just on the body two have vents on the back side passenger windows with vents then the back window has to rally truck style fans that all are tubes to cool off the fpv camera module
Rich im having issues. I just got my x maxx together ive been running hard case cnhl batteries they are super tight in the x maxx. And suggestions on batteries that fit well?
China hobbies have a great reputation. I'm running Hobbystar 7200mah 100c soft packs and Ovonic 6000mah's. Ovonic is a better value I think between the two. Hobbystar makes great motors and Lipos, but prices keep going up.
My man I ask u a few weeks ago about why I was stripping ring gears and u told me something about bulk head.problem was we're the diff cover goes the screws don't hold the screws.change bulkhead and now running the Vitavon ring gear and pinion and so far awesome whit 1100kv and 29,54 thanks dude really appreciate and God Bless u and yours 🙏
Yes indeed Josh 🤗. I have 2 buddies running Castle setups. Those are also great options. Personally, I think Hobbywing ESC's are physically stronger and more reliable (less fires 😱😂). I also hate the Castle on/off switch and inability to manually program them easily.
@@richduperbash2966 yes I know your a hw guy. My 1st kraton is hw and hobbystar duperbash car....but 8 do like my castle stuff and fires just make it more interesting
Long time fan here rich. Built my x maxx the same as yours. Favorite truck in my fleet. Just a quick ??. What punch setting are you running your ESC at ??
You’re a mad man Rich !!! Haven’t gone past level 2 on my max 5 with the Hobbywing 1100kv. Still working on my air control so thank god for M2C for holding these berthas together in one piece! Thanks for the reply and bash on!
Rly strugling with flips etc on my x maxx. i run stock motor, 20/50 gearing and a max 6. I use the Proline badland tires. Maby it is my fluids in the diff. Whats ur opinion and what do u run in the diffs?
The stock motor has decent power with the Max6 and 20/50 gearing. For diffs I'm running 500k front, Silicone ear plugs center, and 200k rear. The Proline Badlands are very heavy tires. I'd ramp up your punch to max setting 5 and try silicone ear plugs in the center. Flips are easiest with higher torque motors, tires that have some ballooning, and gearing that is tall enough for adequate wheelspin in the air. 🍻
Yo rich what are the best 17mm tires that would survive on my e revo 2.0? Stock tires seem to constantly rip even if I stay on top of the glueing… looking for something that isn’t tooooo too heavy! Running speed gearing with a max6 esc so I’m probably getting around 75 with cool temps even in deep grass 🤘🏽
75mph is Crazy fast for a basher 😱. A belted tire might be your only reliable option. Unfortunately, there's no really light options that I'm aware of. Belted Katars might be fun, just not really big enough for deep grass. Personally, I love the Backflips. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 yea I figured, seems right around 70 is the barrier where belted tires become necessary… at least for these big wide monster truck tires. Might gear it down to ~60 and get some backflip LPs 😁
The diffs do ok with an alloy diff cover that won't flex or crack like the stockers. Many guys shim either the ring or input gears. Regardless of power system, Traxxas insists on using cheap pot metal gears that are vulnerable to failure under stress. Vitavon makes a hardened steel spiral cut gear set if you get tired of replacing the stock junk metal 🍻
Do you have any problems with your rear ring and pinion gears… I have basically the same set up as you power wise, but my rear ring opinion keep skipping teeth and eventually break apart
I have in the past, but discovered either my stock diff case cover and or top bulkhead was cracked. Very hard to see the bulkhead problem without full disassembly and flexing the plastic in my hands. 😎💪👊👊
I like them 👍. Just had to back off on the preload because they're progressive and quite a bit longer than stock. They definitely stiffen things up, but they're far more predictable than the slinky-like, floppy stock springs. 😎💪👊👊
Sweet, love to hear it. I couldn’t get any clear feedback on them really anywhere along with a spring rate for them. It’d be nice to not have the pre load damn near fully cranked down on these 40lb rigs 🤣😅 I’ll give em a try, thanks bud.
What makes that the best power set up on that rig? Have your tried the XLX2 with the 1100kv? Or a Max 4 on 12s with a 800kv castle, or a 1100kv TP? I don’t think anyone ever has stuck with a duratrax tire or said it was good
Those setups are overkill for this lighter plastic based rig (especially a Max4 with 800kv 👀). All the 56112 size motors are overkill. The 5687 range is more than enough for maximum usable power to the ground. Duratrax uses either crappy glue (or not enough) but I don't mind regluing properly when a glue bead let's go. The size, weight, tread, and price are all good in my opinion. Anything over 750g is too heavy and just leads to driveline and other durability problems. 🍻
@@alankowalski8781 that's great 👍. Great to have options. Stick with what you think is best. After the amount of breakages I've experienced with the plastic XMaxx, I don't want to go any faster or higher 😂
Yes indeed. You can gear up for more wheelspin in the air, but the stock system is pretty mediocre in the power department. 20/50 gearing with a Max6 ESC and punch 5 can help. 🍻
Yes, I fabbed a small U shaped piece of 6061 that slips under the endbell. I drilled and tapped holes in each end and used longer rear motor mount screws to lock it to the mount. I'd use the M2C endbell support, but my homemade one has worked just fine. 😎💪👊👊

The biggest thing I've noticed is the thin stock diff covers crack often unknowingly allowing the ring gear to slip on power 😝. Hot Racing covers have worked great. The other possibility is a hairline crack in the upper bulkhead cover. That leads to the same problem. Trouble is the crack might not be noticed without removing the bulkhead and torquing on the top corners in your hands. Landing off throttle and not mashing the gears with the trigger is important too, but even that won't matter if something is busted allowing the gears to slip. 🍻
Traxxas’s engineering department should be absolutely ashamed of themselves when it come to the servo and the tires for the XMAXX. Absolutely disgraceful.
So badass. Dude I'm shredding pinion gears. 2 vitavon gears shredded. I think I need a better motor mount. I dunno If the pin system is working correctly
Check to make sure the Cush gear drive is straight and not bent at all. That will cause it to strip gears as well. What gear setup are you using? Im personally rocking 18/50 at the moment with the stock motor.
@@Oh_its_Sheaf thanks Brother 🤗. Yes indeed, you likely need a 7075 T6 mount that will lock your gears in properly 👊. The stock mount has serious limitations. There's no question it allows flex and motor movement with harder use. Also (if you're still running it) the stock spur shaft bends like Peigh Day mentioned. That definitely contributes to gear chatter and wear. The M2C set-up isn't cheap, but it's the best system I know of and works as designed. Makes setting the mesh super easy compared to other aftermarket options. 😎💪👊👊
Appreciate you chiming in! Having You respond makes me feel more comfortable with these damn cars.. just when I think I'm dialed in.. boom, a gear.. and now just noticed the one screw is stripped.. I'm going to peep the m2c if it's in stock I'm on it.. if not I must say the new stock of vitavon parts for the maxx are beefy. I'd rather m2c but they also have a new 7075 motor mount.. its probably a knock off of mitchs...SMH. stay golden
Thank you Chris 🤗. I've been helping Mitch test and refine his awesome upgrades for about 5 years now, starting with the Tekno MT41O. Him and his son Avery are an absolute blessing to this great hobby 😍. They have incredibly high standards and integrity. Very honored to play a role in helping develope these parts. 🍻
Yeah the glue is unreliable, but the price and tires themselves are a bargain compared to Proline and other options. It's a pain in the ass, but I'm willing to reglue them properly when they let go. 😎💪👊👊
I'm going to take it easy 1 second later 25' in the air lol gotta love you. Sooner or later I will go to mod 1.5 But right now running basically the same set up as you but mod 1 31/46. 1.5 confuses me I always felt like 2530 would be too much But I guess not. Wonder if you had fans if the temps would have been OK
Thanks so much Nick 😜. You knew I was just messing about taking it easy 🤣. I skipped taping my connectors together just in case my 4s packs went flying out 😱. 25/30 seems fine with the Backflips, but 25/35 Vitavon option would probably be better for running the bigger/heavier Duratrax. My old mod 1 gearing was awesome. Just got tired of bending the Traxxas cushdrive shaft and stripping out Hot Racing spur gears. So far I'm loving this setup 😍
Rich I know it’s not a conventional platform but damnit if anyone can do it you can…. Get an e revo 2.0 so people start making parts for this thing! I love mine to death and it bashes super well (I mean…for normal bashing 🤣) but I wanna see it get some love and durability!
@@FTG777 I can think of 3 nice upgrades right off the top of my head! Motor cradle, thicker drive cups, and a center shaft brace (like the one that’s made for the xmaxx). I haven’t had any of these parts break but I’m sure it couldn’t hurt for hard bashers 😁

dude, I just love these videos.

You make it look so easy! Flip after flip after flip!
Thank you Gregory 🤗. Love this hobby 🍻😎💪👊👊
Hi Rich, love your style, so amazing !! Which tire do you prefer for the xmaxx ? Copperheads or Backflips ? Is there one between those with better foam insert, that last in time ?
Thank you Brother 🤗. The Backflips are my favorite 😍. Foams are similar with the Copperheads, but traction is better with the Backflips. 😎💪👊👊
Man, when you go to BASH you really BASH IT! 😎💯💯💯
Thanks Randy 🤗
What gearing are you running in this beast 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 9:26
@@richduperbash2966 Thanks for the quick response! Bash on!
Thanks
Rob.
Thanks for showing the gear you run. I only trying to have the same truck you have.
@@richduperbash2966 Thanks, can the orriginal ESC handle the 5687? or you need a new esc as well?

Just wondering why not use 60 weight shock oil and heavier springs instead of 30w which is constantly slapping the chassis
@@richduperbash2966 Thanks a lot :)
Do the different hold up to that power everyone says the diffs won't take big power in the xmaxx whats your experience?
The diffs do ok with an alloy diff cover that won't flex or crack like the stockers. Many guys shim either the ring or input gears. Regardless of power system, Traxxas insists on using cheap pot metal gears that are vulnerable to failure under stress. Vitavon makes a hardened steel spiral cut gear set if you get tired of replacing the stock junk metal 🍻

Rich cane you please make a video with all your upgrades for the x maxx and the setup❤❤
How do you like those VG springs? I was looking into them for my Kraton 8S.
@@wademichaelmtb5508 no problem Brother 👊. Yeah I had to back the shock collars way off. Lots more adjustability and responsive handling with them 👍
What makes that the best power set up on that rig?
@@richduperbash2966 they are not. I use them, bash them, and send them. The faster you go, the higher you jump, and the more air control you have.
@@alankowalski8781 that's great 👍. Great to have options. Stick with what you think is best. After the amount of breakages I've experienced with the plastic XMaxx, I don't want to go any faster or higher 😂

How do you make sure your difs don't strip
The biggest thing I've noticed is the thin stock diff covers crack often unknowingly allowing the ring gear to slip on power 😝. Hot Racing covers have worked great. The other possibility is a hairline crack in the upper bulkhead cover. That leads to the same problem. Trouble is the crack might not be noticed without removing the bulkhead and torquing on the top corners in your hands. Landing off throttle and not mashing the gears with the trigger is important too, but even that won't matter if something is busted allowing the gears to slip. 🍻
Great info and awesome vid 👍👍👊🏻👊🏻
Thanks so much Justin 🍻😎💪👊👊
Traxxas’s engineering department should be absolutely ashamed of themselves when it come to the servo and the tires for the XMAXX. Absolutely disgraceful.
Amen to that William 🙏. Sadly they're so profit driven they likely don't care what we think so long as they hit their sales goals 😕
What steering servo maybe I missed it
I'm just running the 2085X. It's got a little more power and durability. 🍻
How can I buy the parts you put on your xmaxx
I got all my upgrades online from Hot Racing, Vitavon, and M2C Racing. They're available through eBay or Amazon or direct from their website. 🍻
Been through 20 23 24 25 all with 50 hot racing spur
@@Oh_its_Sheaf I’m still using stock pinion and a Traxxas 50t spur.
Having
You respond makes me feel more comfortable with these damn cars.. just when I think I'm dialed in.. boom, a gear.. and now just noticed the one screw is stripped.. I'm going to peep the m2c if it's in stock I'm on it.. if not I must say the new stock of vitavon parts for the maxx are beefy. I'd rather m2c but they also have a new 7075 motor mount.. its probably a knock off of mitchs...SMH. stay golden
Luv the vid sorry about the tires am looking into the m2c products god bless
Thank you Chris 🤗. I've been helping Mitch test and refine his awesome upgrades for about 5 years now, starting with the Tekno MT41O. Him and his son Avery are an absolute blessing to this great hobby 😍. They have incredibly high standards and integrity. Very honored to play a role in helping develope these parts. 🍻
@@richduperbash2966 hey rich quick ..? How is the bell crank holding up
@@chrisgittings7112 the bell crank is doing awesome 👍
very nice video💪
Thank you Brother 🤗
this X MAX is a beast!!!! jezuz!
Yep 😁. With proper upgrades and electronics, she's an animal 🍻😎💪👊👊
I've missed Green Bertha a lot😂
LMAO 😂. Wish I had more RC time. Summer is a crap shoot with family commitments 😍. That said, Bertha was itching to get back out 🚀🚀
I never had any luck with the Duratrax. They would always come unglued after even a moderate bash.
YES!!! This 100%!
