My bestie in high school introduced me to this band. We used to ride our bmx bikes everywhere and jam to this in his car nonstop. We drifted apart and he took his own life a few years back. It's weird how I think of him nearly every day. Miss ya, buddy!
if only more people knew about these guys.. the hands down most unnapreciated band of the early 90's and in my opinion holder of the best album of the 90's. or at least top 5. slip is amazing.
Sergio before Deftones, saw them at The Continental on 3 Ave in NY back in 94-95! These were the BEST of times for a teenager growing up in NY. I’m very lucky to have witnessed 90’s Alternative first hand☺️!
Quicksand was a band ahead of it's time. Musically they had just as much potential as bands like Tool, but they just had too small of a following to keep going. Loved these guys, wish they could've stuck around.
I was a freshman in Highschool when I heard this song Live on The Jon Stewart Show.. 23 years later I finally found it!!! Been a very long time! But never got the band name.. all I remember I fucking loved it!! And The dude was wearing a blue jersey with the number 12 on it.. dude.. so freaking happy I found it! You guys rock!
Quicksand was one of my favorite bands in the nineties. I wish they made more albums before splitting. Fortunately I got to see them 3 times live before they were no more.

Quicksand actually have but one degree of Kelvin Baking from Helmet. I can't remember what it is just now (it's been a while), but I think it involves Gorilla Biscuits.
@@jeremyscheeler7235 They gave him more room to shine on Ohms, but it seems like they really didn't appreciate him enough since now he's doing Quicksand full time again

@TheNaturalCristu well these guys are members of Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today and Bold, and I don't hear much grunge in this, it reminds me of what a lot of hardcore bands who stopped playing hardcore were doing in that era
Well, it’s kind of hard to get from the middle of the Egyptian desert to Paris, France and now that they’re already playing Olympic Games might as well forget about everything else

i wouldn't say grunge, but seems based off late dischord ,reminds me of hoover and bluetip, early fugazi ,I love this shit Gb,and youth of today are pretty cool
@@timprice1106 ah nice do you have the recording of that to put up on RUclips? Yeah sorry have to pay stupid amount for the album but it must be worth buying if you're a fan of Quicksand.
@@gazeunderthesunmusic sorry dude it will have been on VHS and long since in landfill (I know!) There are episodes of Noisy Mother's on You Tube but now that one. HMV loved calling them imports to bump the price up £17.50 in 1995 but like you say worth it. Also great to see Serg in my all time faves Deftones
So you see how that money could be used to tear people away from their homes and put pieces of gold on other peoples chest you could see that now can you see that now Mom

Well said, good sir.
Saw these guys play with Helmet and Casper Brotzmann back in '94
Chuck Walsh dam right my friend Post hardcore at its best.Great record.
This song was featured in the film Empire Records. the band was definitely not underrated. If they were mainstream, they'd probably suck.
Charles Walsh #Commiseration, mein freund💖✌🏼!!!

Quicksand are the gods of the 90's and the most underrated band of all time, crappy Polydor didn,t know what to do with them.
In their prime they whipped some ass # WALTERrules
This should have been as big as Nirvana. Record labels suck.
These guys should have hit big time great songs great hooks great vocals
They are still together

Sergios bass line in this song is insane!!!!!!!
This is the song that drew me in. Every song they created is stellar.
Quicksand deserves some credit for contributing a sound that bands like Tool took from
