The color coding of the number plates is for safety reasons. The yellow at the rear acts as a reflector for the safety of the trailing traffic. White in the front and yellow at the rear is majorly on civilian vehicles. They start with letter K.
On diplomatic cars,there are red plates on both ends which acts as reflectors for safety and as a priority VIP pass in traffic or for any other situation that needs diplomatic privilege. You'll see letter CD on them.
Other government agencies are either blue or green both for safety and for department or agency classification.
In Kenya it's law to install water heating solar systems especially for multiple dwelling homes to conserve electricity.
We adore cats and almost every locality you'll find them both as pets and stays. In fact at my local convenience store,folks buy milk for the resident cats and other stray cats around.
Anyone planning to stay in Kenya for an year or more is better advised to learn Swahili. Most diplomats, tourists and expats try hard to learn it. Learning Swahili opens doors into locals' hearts 😀♥️

We love the vegetation and we even demanded planting of trees after many trees were chopped down during construction of the expressway! We were up in arms cause of the concrete coming up!

You also forgot to mention that Kenyans love tea alot. It's not the regular milk and milo that you take in Nigeria but natural tea
Regular supply of power wasn't a shock to me, cos I expected it. Also, I haven't experienced the tea culture.

@@BeautysTv I don't really think so. She is talking about her experience which should be similar to that of other foreigners. I have not heard any other youtuber talking about the vegetation in Nairobi, cats, make up and solar panels. She is hilarious.

I have definitely heard more Nigerian songs than any other country. I had a very nice experience with a band at Brew Bistro though. They played some of their original Kenyan songs.
Exactly! Seems like a hasty observation made from her very limited socialization in a few clubs in Nairobi. She ought to widen her local experience because she really has no idea about Kenyan music taste including our very popular vernacular music.
Nice video. On weather, Nairobi and Lagos are false equivalences. Nairobi sits at about 5200 feet asl meaning its way cooler unlike Lagos which is at 0-120 feet above sea level. Lagos can be compared to Mombasa

It's been getting warmer here in Nairobi though. I'm already missing the colder days.

If you feel Nairobi is cold then you'll freeze to death in such places like Limuru, Nyahururu, Eldoret, Molo, Naivasha, etc
Nairobi is cold compared to Lagos. I love it. I particularly loved it in July and I think early August when we were getting to 13°.
I definitely will want to experience these other places too.
Swahili is the national language and you could pass for Kenyan ,
I'm getting this more now. But I guess any black person could pass for any African nationality.

I don't think a lot of Nigerians really rate Nigerian movies. Thankfully theybe gotten a tote better now.
The yellow back no plate acts also as a reflector at night. Kenyan women have a small nose but Nigerians, Ugandans have big noses 🤣😂. Cats are pets here in Kenya I love them so much.

It's not only Nigeria songs Kenyas actually listen songs from alot of countries Uganda south Africa Nigeria Tanzania,the thing is as long as you sing well we consume it

I've heard other songs. I guess my ears are just attuned to Nigerian songs, so I always recognise them whenever they are played...which is a lot more than I would have expected.
In kenya everything is borrowed from the british..most things are runned british style..thats why they recently abandoned the provinces and resorted to counties just like UK due to british influence
They did that because of devolution..U giving the British way too much credit
Plate number differences are to make it safer to drive at night. Light reflects better on white, as cars approach. And we LOVE our cats. We have cat societies and cat groups, cat shows. There are even cat thieves who steal popular cats! And by the way you look like one of ours. You look like any one of our people. And Swahili is one of the official languages.
So what's the yellow plate number for?

It's great you guys have an indigenous official language. Wish we had that in Nigeria
Cats are loved by the rich or where rodent infestation is high, but in other areas like the Coast cats are feared.
Hopefully, I get to go to the coast before I have to go back to Nigeria.
No yellow reflects better than white...When something happens like a hit & run accident or theft and the car speeds off, everyone probably checks the rear number plates. At night, you can't read the front number plate due to the brightness of the head lamps.

@@TheBarlkiss You should see the reaction of white people abroad when Kenyans speaking just casually switch between three languages during a conversation without even realizing it😂😂. It can get very confusing fast.

I was at a restaurant somewhere IN Nairobi and this Nigerian lady screamed her heart out after she saw a cat😂 I knew she was Nigerian because of the accent. I thought she was just being dramatic.

Swahili is our national and official language so what do you expect? It has nothing to do with your blackness. Even coastal arabs speak kiswahili.

Take advantage and learn some Swahili girl, you'll use it in future. Did you know that a number of global brands are Swahili named? Even the word safari is Swahili. Non East Africans say Swahili, but to us it's kiSwahili

Why is there an influx of nigerians to kenya?
I'm not sure I know the answer to that. I came for work and I've probably only seen a handful of Nigerians. But that might be because of the part of town I am.
Why does it matter? Our beloved country welcomes and accommodates everyone regardless of their nationality, race, religion or any other differences, that's why people enjoy coming to Kenya.

@@TheBarlkiss I honestly don't like makeup myself, I tried once and my skin got very ugly pimples and quite frankly made me look aged abit, it felt I was trying too hard.😂😂 I do my eyebrows and apply lipstick and sunscreen though, slightly powder my face and that's it 😊
I love my natural face but I also love makeup. But it's important to take care of your skin first. I make it a rule not to put makeup on my face if my face is acting out more than normal. And I tend towards natural sublte makeup. In fact, I'm going to get a tinted moisturizer soon to use instead of foundation.

Only in Cental highlands, Rift Valley, Nairobi and areas close to NAirobi. At the coast its hot and humid. Kisumu is slightly humid and warm. Northern Kenya is very hot during the day and cool at nights.
