Oh man. I’ve used that a couple times as a get out of jail free card when an Art Blakey 6/8 section sneaks up on you in a big band setting. It also works great for a half time break down if you play everything but the backbeat on the hats.
Congratulations, Dear Darryn. Thanks for your lesson and your time. You´re a excellent drummer, musician and master. You have very interesting musical concepts. All your videos are very good. I enjoy them.
This is a great lesson Darryn. Really good content. I also love the bloopers at the end. Can you please tell me the names of the Steve Gadd tracks using this sort of groove?
Al Dimeola - Electric rendezvous, Al Jarreau - Blue Rondo a la Turk, Lee Ritenour - The Captains Journey (the storm). I'm sure there are many others but these were the first that came to mind.
Always loved this groove, and unsurprisingly you make it sound beautiful! Here is where I first heard it years ago and my ears pricked up. ruclips.net/video/QyuY6o1kep4/видео.html

Yep that's it. Very nice. Hope you're well mate.
Why are there so many good drummers supposedly from the UK?
