Geoff said it’s not from any specific song, but used here and there in various songs. Sorry we can’t be more specific.
My simple mind just interprets it as a "single nine stroke" spread around the drum kit.
The fill doesn’t go with that beat - he plays jazz fusion, and you were playing a rock beat then went to the fill, and it sounded discordant But man have you got some skills !!! Congrats- drummers only get to your level after years of dedication
Did you know the classic John Bonham fill was actually a Max Roch fill? That's how music evolve, man.
