DAY 3 UTAR-UNWAR International Joint Workshop on Bamboo @ Desa Adat Penglipuran, Bangli, Bali.

The International Joint Workshop on Bamboo #bambooseries co organised by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Universitas Warmadewa (UNWAR). It was held for 3 days from 9 - 12 January 2023 at Desa Adat Penglipuran which has it own bamboo forest next to the village. 48 students from UTAR join their counterpart from UNWAR under the guidance and direction of Pak Raka Gunawarman, UNWAR’s own bamboo expert.
For 4 days and 3 nights the students had the chance to stay with the villagers and experience daily activities perform by the villagers, including making used of bamboo in their daily activities. The students were divided into 4 teams that built different bamboo structure in different part of the village. They were guided by the local experts but got to experience first hand working with bamboo. These experience hopefully will increase their interest and knowledge of using bamboo as a sustainable building construction material.
