Nothing sounds as cool as the sound of a v8 screaming. The rotory might have been louder, but the v8 is just more bad ass. Very cool s10 truck and cool seing people using cars from the usa for drifting machines. Grassroots motors sports magazine posted this video on their facebook page this week and followed it over here.
+Jesse Fitzpatrick From my understanding, big block is over 300ci. but generally accepted that a 302 is a small block though it can go to 347 and a 351 is a small big block. so an LSX being in the 350 category and upped to 454 makes it a big block. Am i wrong? i mean, a 351 is no 460 that can go up to 544 but it's also no 289.
+Joseph Kutches the first gen small block ran till 1986 ranging from 262 ci to 400 ci in displacement from the factory. Then in 1986 that changed from 2 piece to 1 piece rear main seal. then in 1997 the ls1 debuted the new" third gen " Chevrolet small block which was redone in 2005 for the c6 corvette as the ls2. The ls family of engines ranges from 5.7 (346) to a factory 7.0 (427), and thru the parts depo you can gets lsx's which are iron block versions of the ls motor. ranging from 6.2l (376) up too the lsx 454r seen here with over 720 hp out of the box. this block is physically smaller then a big block chevy. I know I have a big block 396 camaro
+Joseph Kutches turns out he's right. had to look it up myself but the LSX is a small block. even the exhaust ports on this block are like older big blocks. from what i can find, only difference between big and small blocks are the actual block size. remember ci. is a combo of bore and stroke.
At Formula Drift they'll kill a rear set in two to four ~30 second runs. I got one off of Vaughn Gittin Jr's car earlier this year and it's all the way down to the wear bars.
Dude that thing has massive grip for having an lsx Rear mounted radiator, massive fuel cell, engine positioned further back, how does it grip like that?

Holding her own? That pig was a whole car length behind the entire chase. They didn't even show us the lead run, how's anybody to know how well she really did?
Custom, everything on that truck is custom. With some engineering know how, fabrication experience, you can put and swap just about anything on to anything. The steering is definitely aftermarket and most likely a ton of custom work done. Wish I had the money to do this to my S-10
that dude can drive the shit out of that truck
Simple setup, clean, looks easy to maintain. Good stuff.
Jesus christ this thing sounds so fucking badass!
Que des bon souvenir de le voir drifter
i own a couple s-10s and in must say, those trucks drift like a dream.
Nice truck! The only way it could be better was if it was a 82 - 93 box body S10!
I'm about to start a 88 chevy s10 build

jason walters You can’t hear anything next to a Rotary lol but I’m really tempted to drop a forged or heavily modded SR20
Thank you for going big block 454. It sounds beautiful opposed to that little turbo 4 banger next to it.
+Joseph Kutches that's not a big block the ls engines are small blocks with big block displacement, an they weigh less then old 350's

Rear mounted radiator, massive fuel cell, engine positioned further back, how does it grip like that?
Radiator is in front, he added weight in the back, from what I seen, 4 link, panhard bar and coilover
Love your truck! What tires are you using? We are setting up a LSX powered S10 here in the USA for drifting.
Murica!
sweeeeeeet!
Dam!
Insane!
i love my s10 :3
Nice to see an s10 holding her own against a turbo ricer.
I can see your point but I doubt that some of these cars are riced. Just saying.
haha stock 240s cannot burn tires like that....it's clearly built properly to handle this sort of abuse

All that smoke reminds me of my car when I blew my turbo!
so bad ass but i would change the grill to something more aggressive
that 240 is ear pearcing
I have a 03 s10 that I’m making into a drift truck
What are your plans for it? Im interested in building my first ever drift truck too
damn dude your crazy 12000$ dollar engine in 100$ truck, priceless.
Bad ass
I have a vid on my channel of a s10 doing a burnout with other cars to
Where can I find some build specs on this thing???????
Front suspension is custom tubular control arm with coilover, rear is 4 links, coilover, panhard bar and still solid axle. Simple setup but efficient
Whats the track? Very cool truck!
Riverside Speedway in Québec, Canada
Sick! Ill add the video to the track on driftspots.com
How did the owner modify the steering to get that much angle?
I don't know about steering angle but the A-arm are tubular and custom made
Custom, everything on that truck is custom. With some engineering know how, fabrication experience, you can put and swap just about anything on to anything. The steering is definitely aftermarket and most likely a ton of custom work done. Wish I had the money to do this to my S-10
@@kiddovr3147 I figured it was custom, due to the angle just curious what solution they came up with for the steering rack.
@@lynnmckenney1987 Yeah, what would be awesome is if the guys over at Hoonigan did a Build Breakdown on their YT channel with this guys S-10.
im pretty much sure he will do U.S.A Formula D in 2014, but he cant use a pick up so .. ? what next!!! haha
AWD or RWD?
Rwd ofc
you're new to drifting aren't you
No.
