I've had that lens. Very nice. AFAIK the -F and -FA optics were identical for like lenses. There were some changes to the mechanicals (not necessarily good) and to what data was sent to the camera.

I got this lens after james from snappiness made a video about it. Bought a pentax body to use it. Its really nice and i like the look it has. I also dig the design, that ugly grey.
