With I recall correctly Master Roshi originally had no idea what the dragon balls were, the 3 star ball just happened to wash a shore on his island.
It was great to see that Master Roshi, I hope he will be more useful this time, who knows Master Roshi in this story teaches all his real techniques and also becomes an active fighter. I also liked the formation of the Turtle School, Goku [Boxer], Mark (Hercules), Yamcha, krillin and even Bulma, for sure this will be more interesting than the original, just because Goku [Boxer] doesn't Being an idiot is already a lot, it's a great bonus to see that he is Chi-Chi really can be a couple that likes and respect, it would be interesting to also see a pair of fighters friends / rivals between her is Bulma. I'm very excited, I would like to see what their meeting with Tenshinhan and Chaos will be like, they probably won't be friends for a long time. But what makes me anxious are the SAGAS of Piccolo Daimao and the invasion of the sayajins.
Waht if future tronks came bact with the hart virs when the plof gang was flowing them in this story

What if the rage that Goku got when he first turned super Saiyan against freiza was a permanent factor for all super Saiyans and couldn't be trained away and actually only intensified with the higher levels? How would this effect the story do you think it would make everyone more hesitant to transform?

I just realized something. Jaco is by far the strongest character in this what if series during this timeline. Since his power level is a few thousand. Between 1 and 3 thousand I'd say. He took on frieza soldiers in rof so it shouldn't be too far off. That means jaco, is currently the strongest character in the series so far.

Desmond the Moon Bear is too OP, which is why he is imprisoned on the moon. The Gods fear his power. He is immune to Hakai. He is told to be faster than the Angels. Rumor has it that even Zeno Sama and the Grand Priest fear him. It is not a good idea to release him for a measly tournament

Still can't believe Jaco is the antagonist so far.
Man, Yamcha was such an afterthought in this part. Here I was looking forward to Yamcha's dynamic with Bocksa since he is more worldly than the gang, he shares similar hobbies to Bocksa by being both a fellow grease monkey and a prodigious martial artist as well. We could've watched them bond with Yamcha just being a 'cool older brother' figure to Bocksa AND still being scared of Bulma would've been funny since he isn't THAT cool due to the awkwardness.
Unfortunately I've noticed characters who aren't the focus of the question of the what if (meaning often Yamcha and Tien) tend to not get much attention. There are some exceptions to that of course, but it kind of makes sense that the characters who are the focus of the question get a lot of the spotlight; it's what people are here to find out after all. Not that I'd mind Yamcha getting to do more.

@@0099009969 Officially Brief (or Briefs in the dub) is Bulma's dad's *given* name, not the family's surname. I think maybe the dub frames it as a surname, but it was written (Toriyama-level canon) as his personal name. The Son family seems to be the only family with a canon surname in Dragonball (even Mr. Satan is a stage name, his canon name is just Maaku/Mark).

2 problems so far:
1. Roshi didnt know what a dragonball was in the OG dragon ball, as he said he found it just washed up on his shore one day.
2. Roshi had lost the bansho fan in the original (it being found at the end of dragon ball right before chichi and goku's wedding), so he went himself to take out the fire with a Kamehameha

Somehow, through all of part 1, it completely went over my head who Mark was supposed to be. I thought he was just some random kid.
Even with him wanting to join the Satan Dojo? Though I guess 'Maaku Satan' isn't his name in the dub, they went with Hercule and made the 'Satan' part canon in Super, so I guess it makes a bit more sense than at first thought.
Well Launch is good looking, so I think we all know what distraction they have for Roshi is.

Considering we don't know WHEN Dr Gero took 17 and 18, i would like to propose a what if where Goku marries 18. Where they meet in one of their world tours to find the dragon balls and they both helped a lost Goku in a city. Gokue thought of them as friends and did try to find them again, but couldn't. So imagine his surprise when in one of the tournaments, he sees not only Tao, but 17 and 18 as well. They are prototypes at the moment, but they need help and Goku does so. If 18 were to keep up with the rest of the team later on, i am sure Bulma could help with a few upgrades

What if when the z fighters were on king kai’s planet turned the ginyu force good and earlier on Namek Goku spared some of the members of the ginyu force and imprison them in freazas empty ship which is easy due to their injuries and later during the fight with freaza the ship is damaged so they could escape and attempt to help freaza fight but due to their injuries making them useless and their earlier failure freaza just kills them himself and ginyu as a frog sees this.
i would love to see the ginyu force becoming good. bulma would hate ginyu sooo much. and krillin, vegeta and gohan might feel a little uneasy at being in the same room as recoome (remember. he gave the the beating of their lives (at the time)).
Also, I am sure that would make Cell even more disgustingly dangerous and Powerful. (Wonder how would the "Change" technique could work for him. especially because he would lose his almost perfect body. although he could use it during the kamehameha at last minute to try switch bodies with someone else to safe his life)
