@@JustFPV-net I landed hard and broke the impeller on the EDF. I'm going to modify it and put the EDF up top and make the bottom a smooth surface. Stay tuned for some awesome experiments 😎🤙
Looking great buddy! Your flying location looks far nicer than mine does currently! Very smooth work on the sticks and loving the panning camera setup. I fitted a Rush Tank Solo VTX in my fin and lost a lot of rigidity after removing a fair amount of foam so I spliced in a carbon strip into the leading edge of the tail fin to add a bit of strength back into the fin. Yours looks fairly sturdy still, however it might be worth doing the same for crash protection. Excellent flight 😀
that idea with the carbon spar is a very good one! I do prefer the Solo Tank too but didn't have it at spare (the other project robbed me), haha. So a good old what-so-ever-AKK did the first job on flying the T1 ... should be ok'ish for the first 6km or so. That field is indeed nice. But the one you got with the CWM was awesome too! looked like a big landing strip from above (allthough you landed on the other one). I will change that camera on the servo and perhaps the servo too to something better. Let's see how this turns out. Still I didn't manage to get my LEDs alive ... you got an idea on how to make them work with the F405-WSE? :) That would be cool, mate!
@@JustFPV-net I'm very new to using LED's however plugging them into the LED pin on the FC and going to the LED controller on INAV allowed me to select some colours. As they're wired in parallel they both light up the same colour though. I saw something on one of the FB RC pages about wiring in a 3rd LED which would make them addressable with different colours on each wing.
Thanks 🙏 I use li-Ion packs. That day I started with 3s4200 as 3 21700 cells did. fit. Currently I’m on 4s3000 with 18650 cells. A friend of mine even had 4s4200 in it. It all balances

Hi! Great video! Do marek F405 WSE has ESC on board? You wired ESC + and - directly to motor connector on the wing locks. I misunderstood this part. Does F405 require an ESC module or it is embedded? Plus do you know what is the heewing T01-E5V2-10801 board which is coming together with T1 ranger?
nope ... the Matek F405-WSE hasn't any ESC's ... but the wires that was soldered on go into the ESC in the wing! So there the (missing) ESC is hidden behind the motor. The Board is the power distribution in case you don't have a flight computer like the Matek F405 which does this for you.
@@JustFPV-net How did you know that ESC is placed behind the motor in the wing? I can’t find the info on heewing page. Thank you for the info! It simplify assembling for sure :)
@@irelandfpv it comes assembled in the PnP version - but if you look at the wings and remove the plastic cover for the motors, then you'll see the gap for the ESC.
Hi, matek 405wse manual said dont connect 5v from motors to vx pad, because the fc has its own 5/6v bec.. im confused. And for the wings servo, you said it needs to be separated. But if im not mistaken painless360 said it dont need to be splitted. And keep it joined and connected to 1 servo pad. Please explain more.. i want to build mine today.. thanks
hmmm ... sound like you get something wrong here. Don't connect motors to 5v - your go nowhere! I we talk about the ESC's then RIGHT: Don't connect the 5v to the matek board as it won't need a bed and has its own power supply. Servos splited or not! Depends upon how you want to fly! If you don't fly with an FC then you don't need to split the wires. BUT if you fly with Matek FC then you MUST split the wires as it controls the servos individually. Without the split that isn't possible. Hope your's will fly as good as mine.
oh now i see ... thats because the ESC in the wing has NO 5v out. So instead of having the 5v lead jumping around while flying, I just plug it on so it cant short-fuse anything! And there is no 5v on it :)
@@JustFPV-net ahhh i seee.. so the esc on stock t1 dont output 5v.. thats why many ppl still plug them direcly and got to problem.. for the servo, painles360 still use Y cable with inav.. i want to try this first because i dont have crimp tool and the connectors to split them.
Diff thrust is not very effective! It can give you a little yaw authority for doing stall turns on this plane, but when cruising, it is not effective with the 3.8 props
