Thanks for sharing these tests! If you get bored and need something else to try, I think it'd be interesting to see 1606 4000kv on 2S with a 5-inch prop! Looking forward to your 4S tests as well!
Holy shit... A 5152 on a 4000kV motor is pretty ambitious but fun to watch. They used to make Gemfan Flash 3052 x 3 and they are still available at FPV24. I can't post a link because this wonderful platform usually hides comments with links... They should do pretty well on 4S and even with 3s on the 3300kV. I am looking forward to the test of the 4" props. By the way, the HeeWing 2205 motor that came with the F01 PNP Pro Kit also went up in smoke while calibrating the current sensor. I already had noticed that it got warm pretty quickly during some previous short hillbilly thrust tests, the 10 or 15 seconds full throttle during the calibration was then to much. I exchanged it for a T-Motor F40 V2 (the 2205s from 2015) and this one has at least as much power and runs much smoother. Threre was absolutely no balancing putty in the bell of the HeeWing Motor. So everything that would have likely caused problems in the future went up in smoke already on the bench. Servos and ESC seem to be decent but this was the second and last PNP Kit i bought. Now I just need a calm and not too cold day for the maiden.
I Know that page and I’m fact got something great delivered from there for the T1 ;-) about those tri-blades- I try to avoid them as this often causes problems on landings. The blades can’t really dodge the ground. Then some secret (not so secret) notice about the F-01: try a 2306 with 1700kv and 6-7” on 4s … Sad the motors went up in smoke- I will state that in my report for hee wing in my next conversation.
@@JustFPV-net Interesting, I was also already thinking about a 2306 1700kV 😉 And with a 45 Amp ESC it should also easily go beyond 200km/h on a 5152 and 6S. An all in one Cruiser and Power Setup. Pretty tempting... As I already mentioned in our previous conversation, it is sad when stuff breaks but at the end I have it rather blow up on the bench than in the air.
cant wait to see more of your testing! good stuff bru! the emax eco2 2004 3000kv could be sick and they are they same weight, even more prop control due to larger stator volume while being less hungry on energy id imagine
Sounds good- but the problem is to get them on the default motor mount- that will only carry those smaller motors. And I don’t want to print a new nacelle to carry my 2205 2400kv from back then ;-)
Nice little twin. Hey how do you keep track of your flight telemetry. It seems you have to look left, right , up and down . I like all my power items on the left with throttle position at the horizon, power and battery above and below that. Altitude and vario on the right at the horizon level. I guess like a full scale panel in quadrants. But, I'm still not satisfied with my layout.
Seems like standard mini motors from the blackout era would work well. 1806/2300kv +5x4 props. Should give you another 30% thrust, +10g per motor. could use 18A KISS amps you prob have laying around.
Just had motor rattle off T1 ruining wires at stator, bought these 3300kv motors! Stock 1404 motors had weak climbout anyway and only were 8 grams in weight. A little too dainty for a 500 g craft.
hello, my friend. conducted tests. on the motor. 1406 3600 kv. prop 4023 2 blade, 2s : maximum thrust 380g maximum current 13 amps. on 3s , the maximum thrust is 600 grams , the maximum current is 21 amps ....Propeller 40 32 , three blades 2s: maximum thrust 500 g maximum current 18 A. on 3s maximum thrust 700 kg maximum current 21 amps!!!
That’s some work you’ve done there- awesome. But the goal for me is to stay below 20A on full throttle- keep kn mind that the default Pnp setup is capable of cruising with 1-3A ! Max about 10A on 3s - that’s important as you only carry limited energy in one pack. I’m curious to see how my new motors will perform this weekend! 3200kv on 3s but 2205 and 5“ props
