One thing I always enjoy is looking at everyone's different techniques. Just proving there's no perfect technique, only what works for each individual musician.
They have different technique because some of them are better than others. Dont get me wrong their all great, much better than most, but just because you can play something hard doesnt mean you have really good technique
@@edannoble4116 my point is that Micheal Angelo batio has a super weird grip on his sweeps, and there are probably 3 or 4 different methods of sweep picking in this video, and they all accomplish what they want. Sure some players could be more strictly ergonomic or have less wasted motion. But the pursuit of perfection isn't the goal. It's expressing yourself. That's the entire goal of this video series I think, showing off everyone's playing style, what THEY consider perfect shred.
Ichikas part with the synthtar was super sick. Really clever to use weird stuff to help stand out, even though way too many people crushed it to name them all.

Marcin contribution w/o a doubt my most replayed section. Skill on full display but a cornerstone pacing addition that brings a unique groove and fluidity to the song section
It’s a bit too much too me with all the taps and rhythmic stuff. A also think it can get a bit formulaic, all his stuff kinda sounds the same. But I agree, he is a really great guitarist, just not my preference.
I feel bad that they put the two bass players right beside each other in the playing order because... Davie is really friggin' good, but Charles is a damn alien.
Stevie T’s solos are always so unique and killer. Wasn’t expecting Brandon Ellis on here too! I actually yelled “YES!” Out loud when his part came on 🤣 In this fucked up world we are all living in, it’s so nice to have these amazing artists come together for something like this.
Onyx Morales' part with that crazy whammy bar vibrato hammer-on solo was definitely a highlight. Everyone put it so much effort and time to make this the most epic collaboration yet!

Well, that was probably the most epic 40 minute display of musical talent possible. So many phenomenal musicians, and I don't want to downplay any of the musicians. The breadth of styles alone made it incredible. Charles Berthoud, The Doo, and Marcin are the 3 musicians that actually led me to finding so much great music including these collabs, so that's my nod to them, and beyond that, thank you all for coming together for content so good it can only ever be matched by the next collab installment. *tips hat* .... *exits stage left*
My favorite was Ola Englund's guitar solo, for some reason his style just tickles me the right way. The biggest surprise for me was seeing Kevin Frasard in this, I never coulda expected that but I'm very happy to see it.

One thing I always enjoy is looking at everyone's different techniques. Just proving there's no perfect technique, only what works for each individual musician.
They have different technique because some of them are better than others. Dont get me wrong their all great, much better than most, but just because you can play something hard doesnt mean you have really good technique
@@edannoble4116 my point is that Micheal Angelo batio has a super weird grip on his sweeps, and there are probably 3 or 4 different methods of sweep picking in this video, and they all accomplish what they want. Sure some players could be more strictly ergonomic or have less wasted motion. But the pursuit of perfection isn't the goal. It's expressing yourself. That's the entire goal of this video series I think, showing off everyone's playing style, what THEY consider perfect shred.
Ichikas part with the synthtar was super sick. Really clever to use weird stuff to help stand out, even though way too many people crushed it to name them all.

It’s a bit too much too me with all the taps and rhythmic stuff. A also think it can get a bit formulaic, all his stuff kinda sounds the same. But I agree, he is a really great guitarist, just not my preference.

Well, that was probably the most epic 40 minute display of musical talent possible. So many phenomenal musicians, and I don't want to downplay any of the musicians. The breadth of styles alone made it incredible. Charles Berthoud, The Doo, and Marcin are the 3 musicians that actually led me to finding so much great music including these collabs, so that's my nod to them, and beyond that, thank you all for coming together for content so good it can only ever be matched by the next collab installment. *tips hat* .... *exits stage left*
My favorite was Ola Englund's guitar solo, for some reason his style just tickles me the right way. The biggest surprise for me was seeing Kevin Frasard in this, I never coulda expected that but I'm very happy to see it.
