I had tried 3 other racks for her prior to finding your sons and none of them worked for one reason or another. Your sons ruler rack addressed all of the issues she had and it’s PERFECT!

    EDITED TO ADD: I sent Tech Support an email and got an answer within the hour!
    WOW! They agreed the area was so small that SA2 didn't see it as underlay. They suggested I could remove the stitches manually OR (and this is a great idea) I can remove the line on the artwork first.**************
    Thank you for another excellent tutorial! We're making 5 childrens quilts (for charity) and each one has 5 owls across the top. The S&C makes it easy and now SA3 even better. I followed your steps exactly for the owl and for the most part, it worked perfectly and removed the underlying stitches. However, the Owl is sitting on a tree limb and the underlay wasn't removed where the feet and the tree limb overlap. Could it be that the pieces were too small and the software just let them be? It's a small enough area that it won't really matter.

I work full time so I am very frugal with my stitching time! I've followed you since you first started stitchouts so I'd be interested to know if this works. Thanks.

    I sat down yesterday to watch this video, stopping constantly to write down the steps so I could follow. I followed all these instructions to a T, however, I still have blanket stitches underneath other objects. When I contacted Embrilliance, they said the brother snc adds nodes and are now telling me I have to get rid of some of the nodes, but which ones and how many can I safely remove? I wish I had your special touch Becky! I just took your class at Mulqueens in Tempe, I've watched all of your videos, taken notes, but it's just not working for me. I feel like I've wasted so much money on the scan n cut and Embrilliance software. I'm fairly computer literate, so I'm lost as to why this isn't working for me like it is for you. I've spent hours trying to get this to work when I could have just cut the pieces out and been done. Gah!

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  Год назад

      I don’t think that the nose created by brother canvas would cause the problem. Are you looking at the design once you hit appliqué and in the objects panel it still says.FCM? You need to save it as an embroidery file and then open a new window and pull in the embroidery design. It should not say.FCM in the objects panel on the title of the design.

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  Год назад

      There’s another step that you can do. Bring in the first design, and before you bring in the second one go up to the top and click create, design, begin new design. Continue to do that as you bring in all shapes that overlap one another. Then save and open the embroidery design.

    • @carlac4975
      @carlac4975 Год назад

      I saved it as stitch and working and when I open the .pes file in Embrilliance, it just shows what I named it (SM Snowman B1) and then Applique under that. I just cannot figure this out. When I pull up the working file, it does show .fcm. @@PowerToolsWithThread

    • @carlac4975
      @carlac4975 Год назад

      That is how I did it, per your video and nothing I do will remove the stitches under the overlaps. I even tried remove hidden stitches. That did'nt work either. I am completely stumped.@@PowerToolsWithThread

    • @bettyboop3671
      @bettyboop3671 Год назад +1

      Diane, there is no difference in size as with Lori's method you cut 1/4" outside the drawn shape. when you sew the 1/4" around and turn right side out to create the applique, the shape is the same size as you traced.......sense?😄

In the left menu, choose Stitch Artist and then there's an arrow to Upgrades and you can choose the SA1 to SA2 upgrade for less than the full version. tinyurl.com/tpzb5x4z
