Absolutely fantastic lesson. You're the best. It answered the question I had about appliqueing an image for later upload into my cricut or Brother Scan and Cut
Thank you. I’m new to this program, and I could not figure out how to do all my position and material stitches at the same time rather than individually. So many hidden windows…this was very helpful.
Very helpful for first digitizing project! Clear explanation of why you chose certain tools. Helps you understand which part of Embrilliance you are using. Thank you!
I spent a couple days trying to figure how to create an applique, Then thought, "Ask Lisa" :) 5 minutes into this video and all my questions were answered and back to stitching. I have to make these videos my go to, rather than exhausting😂😂 my poor brain. 😆 😆
Each program has a set of functions. StitchArtist does not do what Essentials does and vice versa. There is an informative short overview video for what each program does as well as beginner info on this page. www.Embrilliance.com/start
thanks for mentioning the font -- I checked my Embrilliance program and it said I was up to date - BUT I didn't show the sarif font. I checked on the web site and found I was not running the latest edition. Thanks for the hint !

Thank you so much for the information. I am really enjoying the videos. For some reason when I right click it only shows options up to keep color stop (I have essentials and stitch artist 2) working on a Mac. Can you please advise as to how I get the last two options I seem to be missing?
How do you scan in or pull in a design outline - say from a coloring book via a photo off my phone to the embrilliance platform so I can perform the applique part of the program. I would have to trace all the sections
Check out the controls videos for the stitch type you want to use. There is also information in the pdf manual on things to consider. Http://embrilliance.com/contact-us/ if you need further info.
Is there a print out of these directions. The video is great but trying to do the project and follow a video at the same time on the same computer is difficult for me. I also like to follow a print copy to follow and make notes that make sense to me. Thank you
You can watch the video and pause to write notes and instructions if you would like. Then you can open your software to follow the notes you have written that make sense to you! ENJOY!
When color sorting my Appliqué then my machine keeps skipping the material stitches and does a knot instead. What is this happening? When i check the design i can see every step in the simulator but then not in my machine 😢
I’m sorry, but you say in the comment and in the video that you would show us how to do all these things if you only have Stitch Artist 1. However, you use the “Color Sort” function, which is not available in SA1, only Essentials. All I am trying to do with SA1 is learn how to color sort for appliqué letters, so your video didn’t help unless I purchase another software (Essentials). Overall, your video is very well explained and gave me insights into other features of Embrilliance. Just not what I desperately needed.
@@7WordsWorth the video shows how to create the applique in StitchArtist level 1. If you only have StitchArtist 1, your stitch file and you are done! We included bonus education as mentioned in the description “We will even color sort the stitch file (using the Essentials Color Sort) so that we can stitch this efficiently at the embroidery machine!” Color sort is not a StitchArtist function just like digitizing the applique is not an Essentials function.

How do you color sort on stitch artist? It makes no sense if the package costs more than essentials why it wouldn’t also be included in stitch artist

Color sort is an Essentials feature. www.Embrilliance.com/start for information on each of our programs
Hi. I have StitchArtist level 1, but I do not have color sorter under utilities. Is this done differently in StitchArtist 1
@@lavonnewalker373 correct. Color sort is an Essentials function. Plan your digitizing and sort manually
So Lisa, excellent tutorial, but can you tell me or show me if its possible to add the name on top of filled stitches?
Sure! You can have 3 layers of stitches and stitch no problem!
After you clicked on the New View and saw the color sort, did that replace the original file or is it a new file to be named?
You should give it a new name so that your original file remains intact for future editing.

Can you create a cut file recognized by the Bernina cutwork tool using Essentials plus Stitch artist 1?
No that is a specialty stitch type not a cut file.
Can you import a picture to turn into an appliqué?
Yes in StitchArtist level 1! Check out our how to digitize playlist at Www.ruclips.net/user/Embrilliance for some great beginner videos.
