Don't you think it's a bit suspicious that Elon Musk sold all his shares, for 4 billion back in 2022 funny enough when the share's hit their highest value . And the value has been dropping ever since.,....He knew it was a temporary bubble that Tesla shares went up so quickly at the beginning, now the true value of the company is starting to settle. His vision for the future is again just talk, and the fact he sacked all his sales team tells me that it will be taken over by his AI...He is going to replace everyone in Tesla with machines, he is literally trying to destroy the means for anyone to earn money from his company so it will all go to him....I was a massive fan of Elon Musk before the pandemic, I don't know what has happened since but he is not the same person.
These TAMs should account for the prior release. Can't be a 100% if 25% of the market are buying the 2.5% vehicles. Billionaires, while they can afford a $9,000 car, they will not be buying that turd.

Unboxed light, 48V allowing steering motors, cellular/modular factory layout... it shows all the signs of all vehicles (barring S/X) to be much cheaper and allow them to choose which units coming off the assembly line have no user controls or not. And not only existing products, I figure "model 2" and a van as well.
Just don't do a BYD and offer 20 models
Model Y is the best selling car in the world and Model 3 had a recent refresh. I think maybe they have a plan for Model Y to be redesigned as the second car to use the unboxed model.

Well, it keynote be a Tesla but you can convert any van to electric, the parts to do it with are there. There are even companies in some countries that do it for a fair price... I'll come back and tell you if I find the one link I like. They claim and have videos converting many types of cars and trucks to EVs
Elon is a huge fan of the Sprinter van, so I'd expect something similar. If Mercedes had a brain, they'd have partnered with Tesla on this.

Tesla is the ONLY company ( apart from SpaceX) that has selected continuous innovation and search for major efficiency gains in all parts of its business as its MO and competitive strategy. And is executing on that strategy.

Am appreciating these low prices over the last couple years. I don’t make a lot of $ so it’s helped me be able to stack up on shares.
If they add ride hailing to the Tesla app right now, you already got millions of robo taxis. My daily commute to work and back have been zero intervention, although “supervised” FSD trips. And yeah, it parks itself. FSD is progressing so fast since version 12.

There is more than photons…. Sound, vibration, vector acceleration, tactile feedback…. It is all is used to drive successfully and enables super powers for some drivers.
When there is an advanced bot they could be placed to showcase their potential behind the steering wheel.
To chat , drive or imitate driving , clean up cameras, check on condition of tires and body overall , can ask for feedback or a tip at the end of the trip, provide additional pair of eyes~ perhaps more security , low key advertise what they can do around the house or business and ultimately introduce public to Tesla humanoid robotics in general .

I think the reason for this interim vehicle is that the next gen factory is going to require a complete rewrite of the whole system that builds a car. Each section of the line will need new technology that needs to be invented. One example is the unboxed method WILL require sectional wiring for each module. Say goodbye to wiring harnesses. Tesla will need to invent machines to install this new short wiring and create the wiring itself.
Tesla needs more time to perfect he designs for all the new stuff I think. When they have it nailed they will execute, but they need to sell cars in teh meantime, hence the interim car.
That chart at 11:34 would be more accurate if it were to be converted to monthly payments
I agree with the general consensus that FORD will be the first legacy automaker that will pick up Tesla’s FSD. Once that happens, then as us drunks as drunks would say “the seal will be broken”.

I just love the way all the talking heads suddenly become all jolly and folksy, 60 seconds before the end of their segment. True, genuine stuff, huh?
I live in a metropolitan area. The only problem that I see is that most people are all parking their cars overnight on the streets. they don’t have garages. there is nowhere to charge a car at scale in a major metropolitan area and forget about people driving to charge their cars at a charging station in the city. the stations will be completely overwhelmed so I get that you can create a ton of capacity in terms of car production but the charging locations for the masses is going to be the biggest hurdle to overcome.
People go to gas stations all the time, and they aren't overwhelmed. In fact, you would need far fewer charging stations than gas stations. Everybody with an ICE car needs a gas station. Not everybody with an EV needs a charging station. Also, in my opinion, these city dwellers are the perfect candidates to sell their cars and use robotaxi full time. Robotaxi isn't going to turn into a huge business by just replacing Uber, or taking grandma to the doctor. It needs to be ten of millions of people who decide to give up car ownership.
Plenty of power going to street lights. Each post is a good candidate for a plug.

It is a mistake to think that cameras see what we see. Cameras can detect and process the light/photons in different ways not just as an eye does. Note Ron says "we at Tesla" so I think that he may have a bit of inside info,

How much more energy does FSD computer use compared to FSD turned off?
IF the legacy manufacturers would use extremely large aluminum magnesium castings like TESLA they could cut their manufacturing, labor and tooling costs SIGNIFICANTLY.
The number of parts and labor hours in an ICE vehicle chassis and body support could be cut by at least 30%-40% if not significantly more. This could trim thousands of dollars from each vehicle.

Nobody really knows. Depends how many people are willing to sell their cars and go full time robotaxi. I'm not sure the number is as large as Cathy Wood and others are predicting.

Never ignore cycles. We are way past do for a correction. Inflation is delaying it. If your in for life dont worry about when to buy. Beware of dead cat bounces during corrections if your trying to time a bottom though. Inflation is a powerful beast it can make everything look expensive even though values are down.

no complexity is irreducible. Our comprehension of systems is limited at any point in time, but complexity is infinite.
History:
At one point, Tesla had the Roadster. It has since become irrelevant and is no longer produced.
There were the Model X and Model S. Tesla still makes them both, but revenues from both vehicles combined are almost a rounding error.
Today, the Model Y is the best selling car in the world and the model 3 sells a lot of cars too.
Tomorrow, and by that I mean within the next two years, Tesla's new lower cost models (that's more than one) will be in production. I expect history to repeat itself and that Model 3 and model Y will become insignificant compared to the sales of the newer, smaller, less expensive models. Personally, I want a cyber hatch-bak.
Speaking of Cyber... No, I did not forget the Cybertruck. Even though I fully expect sales of the Cybertruck to reach about a million per year, its sales will still be dwarfed by an affordable compact car. But you never know. Tesla just might decide to build a giant cyber SUV. It would sell well in North America, but not even move the needle world-wide.
And that's without even talking about FSD obtaining level 5, Robo-taxis, auto insurance, selling super-charging to other BEV owners, the energy business or AI driven robots.
