Thats some first grade CRAFTMANHSHIP Dude,,, great work Dude .
How damn awesome it is to see a young person as youself mastering this craft. I’m certain there are very few of you these days. I’m going to monitor your site. If a pair of Danner size 12s appear you’ve found a customer! Absolutely love the Gadsdon on your wall. Well done sir!
I appreciate the kind words sir, I look forward to hearing from ya!

Those look seriously bad ass. Just perfect for my taste. I honestly think Danner should start using that color combo.
Bravo boy! You are really good at what you're doin!
Thanks!
Love seeing someone your age doing this. Lets connect and do an interview. I am about to interview a 93 year old Shoemaker & Cobbler.
I work in danner Acadia's and love em. I'm pick up another pair while I recraft my original pair.
Nice work young man !
Those look great man.
Thanks!
Awesome work. Thnx for sharing.
Nice job man
Is it possible to take a pair of Danners like those or the Canadians and somehow add ankle support to stiffen up the sides by adding a layer of leather or other? Just curious as a new pair of Kenetreks cost $500+
What I’ve seen done before is by “beefing” up the heel counter. It would require completely deconstructing the shoe to get In between the upper leather and the liner. I would recommend talking to Bedos leather works for that job, I’m not that experienced yet. If your worried about walking to the outside then a simple wedge will help push you to walking more in the center.
Nice 👍🏻
Good effort
What's the special glue? Cement? What's the best brand?
For us shoe cobblers I like to use either reina or masters. For diy purpose I recommend barge
@@Theshoeman02 thank you sir. Do you think it will work with my outsoles on my soccer cleats?
@@erniecarrasco9107 possibly, I could never guarantee my glue jobs with materials that I don’t use. Just make sure to clean both surfaces very well with rubbing alcohol or acetone, apply a thin coat to both side, allow it to dry then press and apply pressure.
May you share the cost to recraft a pair?
If we were to do exactly what was shown in the video, it would be around $220. Usually we just replace the rubber sole and that’s about $100
I have a pair of Danner USMC RAT boots, can I send them to you? What’s location, cost, time in service etc?
Hello yes! You can send them to me, I'm in Jonesboro AK. I'm about 3-4 weeks out on all my work. If you want you can email me pictures at olivertheshoeman@gmail.com and we can go over more details
Show us the stitches.
