    😢 I won't like to depend on minoxidil Tho. Whole point of getting a hairtransplant.

      if you dont use minoxidil /finesteride ,you will loose hair anyway in the remaining area

      The point of getting a transplant is to regain lost ground
      You can't regrow losst harline ( the main thing which effects the look of a person ) no matter how much fin or minoxidil you use
      Think of hairloss like a water filled bucket with a hole ; nothing can fill new water in it except transplant
      And nothing can plug the hole except finasteride
      It's as simple as that 😊

      Basically you will still dependent on dangerous drugs to maintain your hair

      You will get the transplant, and you will probably keep losing hair like before as far as im informed. You can go on a 0,2 dose of finasteride to lower the risk of side effects (normal is 1mg), and finasteride should help your hair A LOT. Even in a low dose.

      @@Sahilkumar-lu9msMinoxidil is just a fertilizer. Sure your results will become dependent of the drug. But it’s not harmful. I have come to am agreement, and already made peace with the fact that there is really no cure to baldness, however, of I can delay the inheritable for as long as I can having hair, I really don’t mind.

    Hi,
    I am from Kashmir(India) . I have done hair transplant surgery(FUE) on 14 of july, 2022(was diagnosed with type 2/3 baldness).Results are pretty nice, but the transplanted hair look wavey & not straight. I do use finasteride 1mg on daily basis since 6th/7th day post surgery & also Hairbless tablets(which i did stop taking in the 6th month post surgery). I am also using topical Minoxidil first 2% for 5 months & then switch on to 5% till date. My query is about Could i apply IRONING to the transplanted hair to straighten them now OR i have to to wait any more. Please, help me out..!!
    Thanks...!

      Actually it is safe...but waiting for 2-3 more months is safer

      When the new hair grows initially it'll he curly but no need to worry because it'll eventually straighten out.

    Hello Doctor! Thank you for this video! So I had a HT 6 days ago and I never took Finasteride. My questions are: When can I start? How much do I have to take initially? And should I increase the dosage?

    • @carlospalma_
      @carlospalma_ 2 месяца назад

      You should have started 1 year ago. As far as dosage, always remember that some for of Finasteride (or Dutasteride in my case) is always better than none. 3 time per week should do the trick.

      You certainly can 1mg every other day or just cut the pill into 0.5 mg per day

    • @kappii21
      @kappii21 7 месяцев назад

      Ive seen results even come with 0,2mg since some people wanted to lower the dose in case of side effects. Its still very effective! The common dose was once 5mg @@Cirearyk

    Isnt finasteride working for the sides and back of the scalp? Like for Retrograde Alopecia?

    • @blickluke
      @blickluke Год назад +2

      No it works everywhere

    • @SigmaPilled
      @SigmaPilled Год назад +2

      The way that oral finasteride operates is by diminishing the 5AR enzymes present in the body. These enzymes are responsible for transforming testosterone into DHT, which is the primary cause of hair loss known as MPB. As a result, oral finasteride helps in reducing hair fall by slowing down or preventing it altogether.
      Topical finasteride is also available and primarily aimed at preventing hair loss on the area of the scalp that is thinning. However, according to medical research, it can still be absorbed by the entire body and have systemic effects.

      Minoxidil works like that. First the hair fall, and then better hair grow (after 4-5 months), and then if you stop, again the hair fall, and the older thinner hair grow back.

      @@RugvedhTallapudi-lk9jy Minoxidil rejuvenates the existing hair follicles. The main reason for hairfall is DHT. Finasteride is the only proven DHT blocker which ACTUALLY stops the hair from falling because of DHT, and further Minoxidil rejuvenates that hair. Consult your dermatologist about Finasteride. Minoxidil alone isn't that effective. In short, Finasteride is the real deal, and Minoxidil is a catalyst.

    why not start this therapy a year before the transplant? It does regrow the hair to a great extent in most of the patients.
    Most surgeons take credit for this in terms of transplant when it is actually the medicine mostly.
