Let’s look at TDs: Player Philip 374 Eli 360 (-11) Ben 360 (-14) Once again, very close consider how long they have been in the league. Let’s look at one more stat to put it all in perspective: The number of attempts. Eli 7972 Ben 7168 (-804) Philip 7000 (-972) WAIT A MINUTE! They have about the same number of yards and TDs, but Roethlisberger did it with 804 fewer attempts?!?!? And Rivers with 972 fewer attempts! That’s almost 2 complete years of more attempts for Eli to have the same stats! Throwing A LOT to have the same stats does not make a QB great or even good. It means he’s average with an incredibly long career. A 116-116 attests to that fact. Eli is not now or ever has been HoF worthy.
I’m so glad Toomer got a ring. That cat was heroic when we needed him. Damn, I forgot about Marion Barber! That dude was Beast Mode (before Beast Mode!). I miss these days tho. Hoping the Giants smack dudes around with Kenny G and Saquan back. I like their defense too.
This was one of the toughest losses to digest , the other two was the lose too the 49ers NFC championship in 81 and The Superbowl against The Steelers in 79. In that game Jackie Smith drops a sure TD to close out the first half , Maan!!!!!! That was a kick in the gut !
I know we’ve been terrible for a long time now but Terrell Owens crying “that’s my quarterback” that never gets old! This was great but I do agree with all giants fans in here that we should not live in the last here and make some new highlights!
And watching Eli on a weekly basis with his mouth hanging open like he's in disbelief that he has failed again. That happened a whole lot more than what Owens did.
Great thing about that. They backed up that win by going to GB and then beating 16-0 NE. Not like LAR last year in an epic game before getting crushed in the SB or Minnesota 2 years ago with the miracle before getting crushed by Philly in the CC game. That Giants win in DAL is meaningful cause of winning it all.
The underdogs winning over great teams is priceless. Much better than an overpowered team that's expected to win. The greatest feeling to just have a little hope and end up winning.
Thanks so much for sharing this. With the SB winning Giant Players giving their comments, plus the mix of Carl and Bob, and Troy and Joe, it's the best of the best of that game. As a NYG Fan since around 1982, it's been very lean lately, but an overall excellent ride. 4 out of 5 SBs. LT's career. Phil's Most Accurate SB record. Bavaro. The Defense.Strahan,Osi,Tuck, and Toomer, the best Giant WR ever. Beckham doesn't come any where close to our love for Amani. So many great Giants . I thank the advent of the internet videos where I can go re-live it! Eli and his team win every time! Thank You to any NYG Fan that was still in the stands this past Sunday, when Eli most likely played his last home game. With a 3 win season, seats were a plenty. But for those that were there, Thank You. We saw it at home on the TV. You gave Eli your (our) best as well as you could. He really deserved to go out on a SB winning team, but the team around him wasn't enough. Eli proved, given the right team, he will win. Thanks for that and Happy Holidays to All.
I will forever love that ‘07 team. I was 14 years old and it was only my third year being a giants fan. And I still remember jumping up and running around my house after RW’s game winning interception. Up to that point it was the greatest moment in sports I had witnessed. Thank you for such an incredible moment.
The 2nd half of the Giants' 2007 season, when they lost all their home games but won all their road games, plus all their playoff wins on the road, was like the upside-down 2019 World Series (pardon my digression to baseball) when the road teams won all 7 games. 😮
This was the first year I got into watching football and I'm from NY. This was so epic I ended up falling in love with football as I watched this team go on this superbowl run. It was insane. I remember how electric the city was from the win. I was only 14 but rmr it like yday.
I love this kind of documentary of a game. They are exceptional athletes, yes . . . but the way they analyze and react to the complexity of the game is incredibly impressive too. I remember during the season how Antonio Pierce continued to exhort his young defensive teammates (I recall they went through a few Defensive Backs) to keep learning and playing better. Not surprised that he is now Head Defensive Coach at Arizona. Also married to the same woman for 13 years . . . Put in a tough week as an intern at the Howard Stern show too (not afraid of a challenge).
I think that last game of the regular season when the Giants went toe to toe with the Pat's gave them the confidence they needed to win it all. Up next was another brawl in a sub zero Green Bay .. The Giants beat 3 great teams that year in the post season and perhaps one of the best of all time. Yes I know they played TB in the wildcard in Tampa.
Matt Kane , Broncos / Giants FAN FOR LIFE here. Yes, Sir; Coach Coughlin made the decision to play all his starters in Week 17 against that then-undefeated Patriots team. It was a GREAT decision on his part. The Giants played well, ended up losing that game, and carried that experience onward into the playoffs on the road, culminating in the Super Bowl victory over an 18-0 New England Patriots team trying to make history at their expense. G-MEN !!!!!!!
I remember watching the second matchup between the Giants and the Cowboys earlier and thinking that 31-20 didn’t really tell the story and the game was a lot closer than that score And you could just see the Giants getting better throughout the year their confidence just grew so I really wasn’t too surprised when they did beat the Cowboys in the playoffs
think one thing everyone needs to be aware of...that cowbitch team was BILL PARCELLS roster. he had been building that squad for years. wade was along for the ride and obviously failed at getting them over the top. what an amazing performance by the Giants that entire run. last playoff game ever in Tx stadium and the GGGGGmen close up shop!
@Scott Mayfield No, I'm a person who looks at the whole game and not just a few plays. Eli is a liability most of the time. He had a few lucky games in a row when the opposing QBs had the worst games of the season and still needed lucky plays to pull it out. He's really a backup QB that had a lot of luck at just the right time and he's fooled NY into thinking that he's a great QB. I can go on all day about this, but let's just start with 116-116.
@Drunk Drywaller In those "elite" games, he was basically average, relied on the other QB to have the worst game of the season and still needed extremely lucky plays to barely pull it out. That is not the definition of elite.
Tom Knapp so ignore that he’s top 10 in every qb stat. People like u act like he ain’t never had good seasons look at 2015 and earlier before age hit him. Those are elite numbers

Sorry Edward But if you don't play with passion and strive to win you shouldn't be on the the team. And if you know the history of the Giants you know what I'm talking about. The Giants need a Drill Sergeant.
To be fair, the Cowboys havent changed. Jerry Jones still does this stuff today and continues to lose big division title games or lose in the first round of the playoffs with a 13-3 record
Newsflash: Eli was always bad. He just had incredible luck at just the right time, depended on the other QB to have his worst game of the year, and still needed lucky plays to pull it out.
Amani toomer has been sensational when they needed. Now theres an amari cooper and hes been sensational when the cowboys needed him.... does this mean? :O
Little wholesome story to share. I'm an Aussie Giants fan, began following during Eli's rookie year thanks to getting my first ever madden game and falling in love with the Giants. Most of my family clowned me for following NFL, them being hugely into NRL/AFL over here. But my Pop was different, when I'd see him, he'd always ask about how my team was going and ask me about how the game works. By the time this year came around I was more fanatical about the Giants over any of my Australian teams, which after realizing my Pop without telling me started watching that year from the preseason onwards, trying to learn the game for me. When I was planning my trip to visit my grandparents that Christmas break, we spoke over the phone and told me that he's been watching most of the season, that there should be a Giants game on when I'm down and asked if I'd watch it with him. Sadly, was one of the only games we got to watch together but got to say just makes this already amazing game feel so much sweeter when I look back. Both of us just going off at the TV during the last interception is something I hope to remember forever. Now our boys in Blue are getting back to the playoffs, been a long time and even if it doesn't happen this year, I feel another Lombardi coming soon!
Except when the Cowboys won a SB they dominated. They didn't have to rely on the other QB to have his worst game of the season (SB and many other playoff games) and still have to rely on an incredibly lucky play to pull out a highly improbably last second victory. Not even close to the same thing.
Dallas, Green Bay, and then an undefeated Patriots that season. That was a hell of a run.

Once again, very close consider how long they have been in the league. Let’s look at one more stat to put it all in perspective: The number of attempts.
Eli 7972
Ben 7168 (-804)
Philip 7000 (-972)
WAIT A MINUTE!
Jeremy Jacobs comment along with Michael Strahan's comment they hate the Dallas Cowboys that was the best ones I ever saw
I still love the expression on Jerry Jones face .
It’s an annual event. I love it!!!!!
I remember the campaign they called themselves the Road Warriors, this 2023 team has the potential to repeat that lets go Giants!!!!!!
We made owen weep.these are the type of games that I'll take to my grave .Giant for life.
‘Jerry just sent the tickets over, so we’re all set!’
STILL HOLLERING at this in Mid-March 2022!!!!!
Tom Coughlin: Jerry just sent the tickets over, so were all set.
I damned near fell OUT when he said that....
I've been sick to my stomach last few years watching this team but this makes me happy.
Yeah, Giants fan here and I was a huge fan of Marion.
G Money Slot Videos I know bro but sadly we no longer have dogs on our team or motivating coaches. We rebuilding
@@bamzsantana8492 the coaches suck and Gettlemen is making Resse look like a good GM. The coaches and Gettlemen need to fired.
And watching Eli on a weekly basis with his mouth hanging open like he's in disbelief that he has failed again. That happened a whole lot more than what Owens did.
@@tomknapp6194 that's just Eli's face he was the same when he wins it's just who he is but even after all the beatings he took he never cried.
We have Barkley. A good defense and coaching staff. We can make playoffs this year
So many unsung heroes in both super bowl runs
Strahan's a trip! "Go home! Go home!" I love that man.
I will forever love that ‘07 team. I was 14 years old and it was only my third year being a giants fan. And I still remember jumping up and running around my house after RW’s game winning interception. Up to that point it was the greatest moment in sports I had witnessed. Thank you for such an incredible moment.
But then 3 weeks later Super Bowl 42 gave you your greatest sports moment.
I never get tired of watching this replay. Thank you NYG....we love you for it!
The 2nd half of the Giants' 2007 season, when they lost all their home games but won all their road games, plus all their playoff wins on the road, was like the upside-down 2019 World Series (pardon my digression to baseball) when the road teams won all 7 games. 😮
Dallas is always and will always be a great REGULAR season team. then they fold in the playoffs
Man I miss that combo of Bradshaw and Jacobs. Perfect combo of elusiveness/speed and unrelenting power
Drew Kilian well with barber it was more enjoyable, just the rest of the team eh
This was the first year I got into watching football and I'm from NY. This was so epic I ended up falling in love with football as I watched this team go on this superbowl run. It was insane. I remember how electric the city was from the win. I was only 14 but rmr it like yday.
Man I keep thinking to myself about Eli, once a giant always a giant. Man that bring me to tears a bit,
Every team the Giants played and beat in that post season had beatten them in the resgular season.
Dallas was 1 and done as the 1st seed twice in a 10 year span, that is brutal
I love this kind of documentary of a game. They are exceptional athletes, yes . . . but the way they analyze and react to the complexity of the game is incredibly impressive too.
I remember during the season how Antonio Pierce continued to exhort his young defensive teammates (I recall they went through a few Defensive Backs) to keep learning and playing better. Not surprised that he is now Head Defensive Coach at Arizona. Also married to the same woman for 13 years . . . Put in a tough week as an intern at the Howard Stern show too (not afraid of a challenge).
Aaron Ross: Rockie
Kevin Boss: Rockie
Amahad Bradshaw: Rockie
Steve Smith: Rockie
That was a excelent Draft Year
Balboa
*Rookie
Reminds me of this years season, lost to the eagles twice, and now we bouta fight them in the divisional round 😅
I remember watching the second matchup between the Giants and the Cowboys earlier and thinking that 31-20 didn’t really tell the story and the game was a lot closer than that score
And you could just see the Giants getting better throughout the year their confidence just grew so I really wasn’t too surprised when they did beat the Cowboys in the playoffs
16:26 MS a whole mood lmao
think one thing everyone needs to be aware of...that cowbitch team was BILL PARCELLS roster. he had been building that squad for years. wade was along for the ride and obviously failed at getting them over the top. what an amazing performance by the Giants that entire run. last playoff game ever in Tx stadium and the GGGGGmen close up shop!
Not to mention the Giants WON the very first game in jerra's world...nothing can beat that!
I Love Brandon Jacobs and I Love his Hate for the Cowgirls
Best site for the G fan! I'm an old timer in CT and have been a die hard G fan since 1968. Excellent stuff!
R.I.P. Jared Lorenzen (1981-2019) and Terry Glenn (1974-2017).....
Man, I didn't know Terry Glenn died!
Just as I saw lorenzen on the sidelines😂
I get this excitement feeling in me every time i watch this video. Just that good real good win feeling
This is what shows how amazing Eli Manning is
Amazingly average? Because that is what he is and I have FACTS to back that up, not opinions.
@@tomknapp6194 Tom Knapp he had a few lucky games?? He won two super bowls.when you have two super bowl rings on your finger than you can go and say something
That was such a magical run and yes, that Dallas win, can’t top that. Can’t haha.
That was a great win but let's worry about the cowboys now.
Debbie downer
Memories with my dad and brother that I’ll never forget!
Eli getting left hanging at 13:15 😢😢
Definitely a top 5 favorite win as a Giants fan. I’ll always love that 07 team
Stop Living for the past I Wanna see you beat The Cowgirls Monday night.
Yes we want to see a victory tomorrow but there is nothing wrong with enjoying a SB season. That lasts forever.
Sorry Edward But if you don't play with passion and strive to win you shouldn't be on the the team. And if you know the history of the Giants you know what I'm talking about. The Giants need a Drill Sergeant.
@@michaelfishman5768 What does that have to do with fans watching old Giant SB seasons? The Giant players aren't the ones talking about Giant history.
To be fair, the Cowboys havent changed. Jerry Jones still does this stuff today and continues to lose big division title games or lose in the first round of the playoffs with a 13-3 record
The only thing I remembered about that game was T.O. crying in an interview. 😂
So this is all we have now ? Rip
First time watching this video.
Not a huge Giant fan.
But you beat the cowboys in they're house, then I'm a huge fan!!! Thank you Blue!!
This is how bad we've become, the latest highlight video is from 2007. Can we see 2019 highlights please?
Amachtinger they do it every week bro calm your tits our time will come soon relax
Super Bowl 56 bro
@@RickKasten Haven't we been told that for the past 7 years?
Newsflash: Eli was always bad. He just had incredible luck at just the right time, depended on the other QB to have his worst game of the year, and still needed lucky plays to pull it out.
@@tomknapp6194 Right, a QB in the top 10 all time in pass attempts, completions, yardage and touchdowns was "always bad".
I was so incredibly proud of all these guys. Once motivated by Jones' stupid move with the tix, it was lights out from there.
Eli Manning
Quarterback 2004 - present...
While technically correct, that still didn't age so well
It didn’t age well? What? Is he supposed to be the quarter back forever????
Both super bowl runs, the NFC championship games were the toughest. This one felt extra good though 😁
We're starting to sound like Cowboys fans clinging on to our past glory...
Richard Pilhofer 4 Super Bowl wins in the last 4 decades
Except when the Cowboys won a SB they dominated. They didn't have to rely on the other QB to have his worst game of the season (SB and many other playoff games) and still have to rely on an incredibly lucky play to pull out a highly improbably last second victory. Not even close to the same thing.
Richard Pilhofer
yep, said before
@@dexterroberts5569 Sorry if facts offend you. You must have a rough life.
lol this is just a send off to the eli giant era. why not the cowboy fan have clinging to their past era for 10 years lol
I pray that this momentum will return, love you giants.
Kenneth Koroma keep praying.DC4L
@@8Nickgarcia We will trust me keep that same energy by the way Danny dimes for President in 2023.
Toomer's ending comments are priceless! That T.O. interview was the icing on the cake.
Considering what the Giants have done in recent years, I come back to when they executed to win it all to refuel the pump. Let's get back. G-men!
Thanks for some of my best sports memories giants. Thank you!
These linemen on both sides of the ball 🫡🫡🫡 what an incredible talent
I have to watch these videos once a year just to get that feeling back, team has been bad for awhile.
Who would have thought that this would be the game that would make Eli a legend?
