Every Detailer thinking of buying this thing needs to watch this video! Crazy to think it sold out so quick, a lot of people are going to be disappointed by the false advertising smh.
Well, it's not bad to have a fan base, but every time they release a new product that is another iteration of the previous, everyone doesn't question it.
I bought a greenworks electric pressure washer from Lowes for $99 bucks 3 years ago to detail my car and has been as reliable as a hammer ever since! Just saying!!! On average once a week ever since! Now that's called getting your money's worth.... Lol
I dont feel bad if you are a detailer and dont know about chemical guys .. for one. 2, more about how manufacturers typically rate their pressure washers.
Nobody is more transparent than you on this entire platform Josh. I have to say you are definitely the GOAT when it comes to power washing and transparently schooling others in your professional field!
I appreciate the honesty. I was getting sh!t for mentioning getting the $99 Craftsman 1700 psi with the free surface cleaner. I'm thankful you had the ability to review it for the rest of us.
Love the review and that you're speaking the truth bro. I also completely admire the fact that you give the detailed tested numbers at the beginning of your video for those just looking for info, even though it's ultimately not in your best interests because of the RUclips algorithm. It's dope to see people actually backing up what they say with their actions, and it's obvious that when you say you're willing to help out and just want to help fellow detailers you're telling the truth. Speaking of helping people out, I feel like the thing I am most grateful for out of all I've learned from your channel or you directly even, is the value of a good pressure washer hose. Even if you have a decent hose that came with your pressure washer, grabbing an upgraded hose is far and away the best upgrade or quality of life improvement beginners can invest in IMO. I'm not sure if you've forgotten, or just haven't mentioned it in awhile, but I just wanted to mention here in the comments that Walmart still carries the Black Max 35 ft hose for a little over a dollar a foot and it's made by the same company that makes the UberFlex/flexzilla hoses. It actually says so right on the hose as well for anyone that doubts the veracity of that statement. For anybody that may not want something quite as long as 50 ft it's a killer option and a great deal. Plus it has the added bonus of being black, and I personally prefer the texture on that hose to the slicker texture on the flexzilla branded hoses. I find that for me personally a lot of the times 50 ft is more than I need and makes things just a tad more difficult than they need to be, So I bought two of those and I keep my secondary one loaded up with a coupler on one end and another quick connect on the other So it's good to go in the few occasions I end up needing it.
I wanna vouch for that black max hose I love that thing. 35ft is just enough for me to get to the other side of my car no problem it’s held up great for a year now. Wrapping it up after I’m done its length just enough for it to not be too bulky and time consuming too
@@Enthusiast_detailing That's exactly how I feel about it too. 35 seems to be just about the perfect length for me and I can get around the car to do everything I need pretty efficiently. If you haven't already grabbed some, I also whole heartedly recommend the little car hose guides that slip underneath the tire and keep the hose from getting stuck. I liked the 35 ft hose before but I would occasionally get frustrated when the hose was hung up on a tire, and temporarily switch back to the 50ft hose. I've literally never once had an ounce of frustration with my hose since I grabbed a set of those, and they do a great job of keeping me able to move. I know Detail Guardz makes them, but I grabbed a pair from some random brand on Amazon that does just as good of a job at about half the cost. Afaik Detail Guardz also only sells in set's of 4 but the ones I bought also come in a 2 pack which is pretty much all anybody should need.
@@Enthusiast_detailing Hi! I’m new to the choices of PW’s. I don’t see any reference or link to the black 35’ hose you mentioned. Can you please give me the exact model/name of the hose at Walmart so I know I’m buying the correct item? I saw a post below from someone who bought both the 35’ and 50’. Do I need both?? I am obv not a pro detailer, however I have a new MINI Cooper with the huge pain in the ass exterior color “MINI Yours Enigmatic Black”. It had thousands of rain spots that etched after the first rain. I was gutted because the car only had about 50 miles on it and quickly realized what a huge problem I had. Thankfully MINI just agreed to pay for ceramic coating (should have been done yesterday) but I’m trying to learn how to protect that coating but also making it cheaper, quicker and easier on myself. I’m partially disabled and am unfortunately working against the brutal AZ sun. There’s no center drain in my garage so I have no choice but to do it in my driveway. Sorry for the novel - I’m still very green in this field but trying to learn. I’m going to have to go back and find the video about the other PW brand he recommended but adding the Walmart hose that you mentioned and that I’m asking you about how to find the right one. Thank you, in advance, for any help and advice you may be willing to share with me. ☺️
Josh, I was one of the initial purchasers of the Chemical Guys pressure washer. Luckily, I hadn't cracked the box open when I found and watched your video review of it. Today, I returned it to Chemical Guys for a full refund. Thanks for the great review.
Hearing Josh say …‘I don’t trust that , or I don’t like that….that’s enough to say byeeeeiieee to any thought of grabbing this pressure washer. Josh is honest to god , in my opinion 10/10 for all his products he uses and also recommends. Trust this man guys/girls….fellow car enthusiasts! Thanks homie for all your priceless info and reviews 🙏🏼
Been curious about this pressure washer for a bit, then this video popped up in my recommended and not only was it very comprehensive and honest, but this is exactly the kind of channel I've been looking for. I'm subscribing because of this video.
Crazy. You’re the man for putting this out and saving me and others from buying something that would actually be a downgrade from my green works pressure washer.
Dang that's crazy. Love my Ryobi 1800 PSI pressure washer. I'm a weekend warrior and wash family members cars along side mine so it's more than enough!
I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.
💯💯💯💯do not buy this product from chemical guys. I’ve purchased 1 sent it back because of the manufacturer false claims and promises on pressure. They sent me another one and same thing. Do not do not buy a chemical guys pressure washer. There other products are fine not this one. Spend the money and buy the Active 2.0 pressure washer 💯💯💯💯💯
After watching several videos I think the Ryobi 1600 is the smartest way to go. Produces almost the same amount of psi as the newer more expensive Ryobi units in a smaller/convenient version (I think they literally have the same pump from what I’ve seen). You can then use the extra money to buy the better accessories.
Thank you so much for your videos. I have never detailed my car in the slightest bit. But after my car Crapped out due to neglect I decided to change my habits, one being detailing my new car. Thanks to you I have a mjjc (from your site), chemical guys sticky snow foam and all the other CG products which I was able to sort through because of you and a few other videos. Thank you for the videos that helped me avoid a ton of headaches!
Just started into the process of really taking care of my car and your videos have been super helpful. I got all excited when I saw the email for the Chemical Guys washer a few weeks ago and got on the early access list. In the meantime, bought a Ryobi 1600 with the upgrades you recommended and I’m so happy to learn I made the right choice! So much more cost effective for someone that isn’t doing this every day and sounds like better quality too. Thank you again for your great videos and insights!
I use a whole house water filter. Helps leaving it spotless when washing on sun, I managed to mount it on the back of my pressure washer and been there for years. This filter they provide looks very.. useless
Thanks Josh. I was on the list and nearly pulled the trigger. I decided to wait a bit . Was kind of happy i got the message it was sold out . Now I'm even more glad . Lol
I just got this unit, a few days ago, and the big issue with flow/pressure is the water inlet, through that little tiny filter, look at the hole, tiny, I found a brass fitting and a garden hose female end, a bit of pipe tape, tighten the 2 together, and attach onto the back of the unit, and now you have as much flow as possible to the unit, only thing you have to look out for is the female brass fitting, some will not let some garden hoses tighten down all the way, change the flat washer to a O ring style and it will, some hoses will hit the ring you tighten the hose together with, a garden hose quick connect may work better also, I have the Dewalt cordless pressure washer, and did same thing to it, flows a lot better I feel. Also did the Uber flex upgrade as well
Never been more excited to see a review. I was initially stoked about getting this unit. I’m glad that they sold out because my local chemical guys store only had 2 which sold out the second the doors opened.
They were sold out by noon, which is horrible business practice to invite people to buy it early at 6PM, yet they didnt even have any available. Fuck Chemical Guys. This type of business practice is shady and I am done buying any of their products
I almost got one of these till I watched this. I got the craftsman 1700 psi electric one for 100 bucks. Can't wait to give it a try. Out of the box it looks and feels pretty solid.
So glad I found and subscribed to your channel. It’s so easy for us newbies to fall for their advertisements. You’ve saved me a considerable amount of $ and all I was looking for is some casual gear to keep my cars looking nice.
why da hell they make that quick disconnect for the garden hose as a clear plastic, it's mind boggling....like how much more expensive would it be to include a brass one? amazon reviews all say the plastic adapter cracks and leaks
I bought it. My first pressure washer. I guess I kind of appreciate that I won’t harm the car with it. I figured I was overspending a bit. I do like the size for storage purposes in my garage. Love your review though!
Thank you for making this video. I watched this right as I was about to go out and buy one and I’m glad I watched this. I decided to go with your recommendation and got the ryobi set up with the upgrades you recommended and came in under what this unit would have cost me. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Great review of this unit. At first I was a bit excited to see a different pressure washer on the market but now it just looks like a sun joe spx 3000 in a different housing. Disappointing numbers but not at all surprising. The Ryobi 1800 psi unit at Home Depot with a 3.0 nozzle does better and half the cost. 1000 psi at 1.4 gpm for only $110. Get a 3.0 nozzle for a couple dollars off Amazon and you’re golden.
My problem with this is that it’s no better than the ryobi 1600, and cost twice as much. I was very hopeful that with chemical guys being a detailing company they would have made it more gears towards detailers (i.e. include a stubby wand rather than the long one, better hose) at that price point
Got one from the first batch, and it died after a month. It was warrantied out and got a replacement. The replacement was broken when I received it so I got my money back. It was ok for washing the cars but I'd get something else!
I was actually going to purchase this pressure washer from Chemical Guys. I 'm so glad I saw your review. Will wait until version 2.0. Great video/info.
@@abramians1 active is probably the best. Also the ryobi seems to be a great budget unit, craftsmen also makes a decent budget unit. Every one of those outperforms the CG's by a good bit. The ryobi and craftsmen are about half the cost. The active is a little more but is about the best electric you can get
Thanks for the honest review, may return this proflow now, was 1 out of the 10 choosen in Rosenberg, TX, to give it a shoot, it's works good with a lightweight design but seem like the better buy is the ryobi.. lol
The chemical guy what do they make that is good??? . I've tried a quite a few of their stuff and been very disappointed.. it might have been good at first then they cheapened out overtime maybe please let me know in the comments..
I had a sun joe 2030 1.7 electric power washer . Served me well till I went mobile . Now I rock a honda 200gx huge difference never bothered with electric again. This chemical guys proflow sounds just like the 2030 sun joe model
Awesome review Josh I’m so glad I waited and thank for they sold out if not I would of purchased it! Also I honestly think you should make your own pressure washer after reviewing a ton or pressure washers and knowing what type of numbers are the best you should definitely design and make your own i know I’d definitely be a customer!!!
I saw a lot of people excited about getting this unit. Professional detailers were excited about it and I was confused. I thought they might have known something I didn’t. I assumed the specs they released were absolute maximums and would never be anything it would sustain lol. Yeah I was right. Definitely didn’t expect it to work with a mobile set up, gravity fed but I guess it does. Chemical Guys equipment is great in a pinch or for casual DIY uses or for looking pretty sitting on a shelf. For business use or any use of higher standard, they almost always fall short. Didn’t expect this to be any better.
I almost got this unit before a detailer highly suggested the Ryobi 1900 unit. It’s a lot better, cheaper and other than having to buy a few additional tips that it doesn’t come with, its FAR better.
I was just checking this out on their site again and they still list the the max pressure and flow but also list a working pressure of 1305 and a 1.06gpm
I got the 30 ft Blackhawk hose that you post about. I love it. I should of bought two to attach but it still work. Personally I would get a Karcher pressure washer the 1700 or 1800 that come with great replacement no question ask but if you’re in a need go with Ryobi at home depot
Honestly the SunJoe SPX 3001 is the perfect pressure washer for a Mobile Detailer. 1.76 GPM, 2030 PSI, 1400-1500 PSI while in use. Also has a hose reel attached to it, super convenient.
Sun joe’s are junk. I will never buy one again. Obsessed Garage proved they are junk and don’t get anywhere near their marketing numbers. 1.2 gpm max. They also don’t stand behind their products. Had a 5” plastic connector from motor to pressure hose develop a pin hole in the middle of it after minimal use and made unit unusable. It was easily removable by taking the cover off. Sun Joe support wouldn’t warranty it or even sell it to me, but would offer me 10% off a new unit. 🤬 I found a MUCH better metal connector that swiveled on Amazon for $10. Fixed problem, works better and allowed to at least use until motor actually dies and not ancillary pieces. Best to buy either the Ryobi Josh recommends or Karcher Obsessed Garage does. OG proved they are both great units.
I am not surprise about the performance of this pressure washer from Chemical Guys, in my opinion Ryobi pressure washers are the best pressure washers for auto detailing.
I’ll be honest at 200$ it’s not a great deal. I bought my ryobi brushless 2300 psi for 200$ on sale. It may not have the size factor of the chem guys but it uses standard fittings and at least puts out way more than that. If I wanted a proprietary pressure washer for cheap I’d go to harbor freight.
Disappointed with the advertising from chemical guys vs actual numbers. Thanks to this channel I did the hose, snubby and MJJC 2.0 foam cannon upgrades to this washer and it's ok. I'll run it until it blows up, but I won't be buying another CG machine..I should've returned this for the Active, but it will do for now.. lesson learned..
Good to know my ryobi with Uber flex and quick connect is still a better set up than getting this. Thank yew Josh! Always enjoy the transparency and content.
Ive been using the CG Proflow pressure washer with the CG long & stubby guns. Bought the Flexzilla hose and quick connect fittings. I tried connecting the Flexzilla hose and quick connect fittings today but was unsuccessful. Is the CG Proflow, hose and gun connections proprietary? Do I need to get special quick connect adapters to make the CG Proflow work with the Flexzilla hose and CG guns?
Thank you, thank you and thank you. Great video, you rocked this. I saved $200. Wanting the Active 2.0 review when you can get one of those. I am still rocking the OG because of your videos. And love my Mjjc that I got from your site. 😎
Thanks for the great and honest review man, has anyone else noticed that they have the same rating as the sunjoe spx 3001? The motor even sounds the same tbh, but it wouldn't surprise me if they reached out to sunjoes manufacturer and had them make one for them to sell at a little higher price point, I've never went in depth like this review for testing my sunjoe but now it's got me wondering 🤔
The 300 psi your gauge starts with, is that the pressure in the hose while not flowing or does your gauge need calibrating? Just curious because 300 psi less than what your getting would put this under 1000psi working pressure.
Great review, your analysis not only of the unit but all the things that can go wrong is much appreciated. I'm not a fan of plastic connection points and disappointing output level from this unit.
FYI - post any sort of criticism on CG’s social media and they immediately delete. Their post literally said “everyone loves it” but when I posted a comment about their real numbers they deleted it 😂
Hi Josh, thank you for jumping on this review! I was waiting for this as I've been doing research to buy a new pressure washer. I'm no pro whatsoever, more like an enthusiast/hobbyist maybe? Too many phrases out there to figure out which one LOL I just recently have been taking more care of my car now that I have a garage. Thanks again for all these videos, very helpful for someone like me. Take care!!
So I bought this pressure washed simply to wash my own cars and maybe some home cleaning, I’m not a pro detailer; but I’m glad I watched this. I also bought all of your recommended upgrades so Amazon should give you a cut 🤣
Unfortunately I did buy this from a friend and when I turned it on the first time, I leaked from inside Chemical guys is sending me another as it was never opened prior to me getting it. My plan was to use this on my 45’ Rv hooked to my onboard tank… not feeling the excitement now after this great video.
I love my Sunjoe I've had now five years and have no problems with it but I will be going with your Ryobi recommendation in case I have an issue with my Sunjoe as a backup. Thanks for the review on the CG pressure washer I will not be buying it.

Why would you expect anything from a sub 200 dollar pressure they are all the same
@@kimjung2442 your definitely right. I guess I was excited about the look and design. I should have known better coming from chemical guys 🤣
Also those active pressure washers your telling people to get have bad reviews as well. Which model do you recommend. @kim jung

Thank you so much for making this video. I thought it looked like a really good but I think im still sold on getting a ryobi pressure washer.
Well, this is what I call an interesting and instructive video. 5 stars!
Josh is always on it bringing the honest reviews
Sometimes the company wants you to buy their products based on their brand name. Great review!
I bought it. My first pressure washer. I guess I kind of appreciate that I won’t harm the car with it. I figured I was overspending a bit. I do like the size for storage purposes in my garage. Love your review though!
you should have gotten an active
@@kimjung2442 happy with my purchase.

@@_b241 do people fall for that? Sigh.
@@kimjung2442 I've been hearing a lot good things about that unit. How is it in your opinion?
Best and most honest review I ever watched on yt
As soon as I saw this came out I thought it looked like garbage. I even commented in their video that I was looking forward to you reviewing it.

Why not just get any of the other actually quality units available and not support a company that is known to hugely mark up garbage
@@HoodRatDiesel Love to. Can you recommend a few quality pressure washers?
@@abramians1 active is probably the best. Also the ryobi seems to be a great budget unit, craftsmen also makes a decent budget unit. Every one of those outperforms the CG's by a good bit. The ryobi and craftsmen are about half the cost. The active is a little more but is about the best electric you can get
@@HoodRatDiesel Got it! Thank you! Will check them out.
@@abramians1 i have Ryobi 1800 psi at 1.3 gpm it’s small and cheap at around 100 bucks it’s lasted 4 years so far
Thanks for the honest review, may return this proflow now, was 1 out of the 10 choosen in Rosenberg, TX, to give it a shoot, it's works good with a lightweight design but seem like the better buy is the ryobi.. lol
I bought an Uberflex hose for my pressure washer cuz of your channel and they are definitely the best
Thanks for the numbers, was waiting for this video. Ryobi 1600 for the win (The Josh Set Up)
The chemical guy what do they make that is good??? . I've tried a quite a few of their stuff and been very disappointed.. it might have been good at first then they cheapened out overtime maybe please let me know in the comments..
Thank you for looking out for the consumer. We all have to hold corporations accountable for quality.
Always a real one with the reviews. Appreciate you JV
This is pretty much what I'd expect from Chemical Guys.

Not surprised. I haven't found a single product from them that I would buy again
Like the idea on buying a Ryobi and upgrading to a better hose for around the same price as this underperforming garbage
Excited for this review! Thanks Josh for all your reviews and being honest! 🤘
*You have been chosen to get a present.👆👆 Direct message to ASSERT OWNERSHIP.🔝🔝🔝..*
The handle connections looks just like my cheap HARBOR FREIGHT pressure wassure....
Starting with the numbers. Magnificent.
They are all the same. Get the cheapest one
Almost bought it today! Glad I watched
I am not surprise about the performance of this pressure washer from Chemical Guys, in my opinion Ryobi pressure washers are the best pressure washers for auto detailing.
The plastic screw on hose connector for the pro flow broke on me. What upgraded brass can I get to for the hose connection to unit now?
Waited all day for this video, I knew the advertised numbers sounded too good.
I ACTUALLY liked this review.
Great honest review, seem like a good washer for the average Joe
Thank you for the great review of this product. I would have bought this if I didn't know this was trash
dont you need the pressure to be in the range it is so it doesnt damage the paint? and the gpm to be lower so not much water is wasted?
Good to know my ryobi with Uber flex and quick connect is still a better set up than getting this. Thank yew Josh! Always enjoy the transparency and content.
Same. My Active pressure washer is awesome
Thanks for your practical assessment of this power washer. I have a Ryobi I use - after getting a better hose and attaching several quick-connects.

Thank you, thank you and thank you. Great video, you rocked this. I saved $200. Wanting the Active 2.0 review when you can get one of those. I am still rocking the OG because of your videos. And love my Mjjc that I got from your site. 😎
I love my Active VE52. I will probably get a 2.0 (or 3.0) whenever this thing decides to give up. 🤣
Love my Active also. Got it when it released for like $150. Its $250 now
did you need any additional adapters to attach the uberflex hose?
Thanks for the great and honest review man, has anyone else noticed that they have the same rating as the sunjoe spx 3001? The motor even sounds the same tbh, but it wouldn't surprise me if they reached out to sunjoes manufacturer and had them make one for them to sell at a little higher price point, I've never went in depth like this review for testing my sunjoe but now it's got me wondering 🤔
Thanks for the honest review! Just canceled my order lol. What brand is the spotless water tank you have there?
The 300 psi your gauge starts with, is that the pressure in the hose while not flowing or does your gauge need calibrating? Just curious because 300 psi less than what your getting would put this under 1000psi working pressure.
Great review, your analysis not only of the unit but all the things that can go wrong is much appreciated. I'm not a fan of plastic connection points and disappointing output level from this unit.
*You have been chosen to get a present.👆👆 Direct message to ASSERT OWNERSHIP.🔝🔝🔝..*
Put the pressure dial between the nozzle and the gun
There is standard 1/4 quick connect
The gauge is 3/8
FYI - post any sort of criticism on CG’s social media and they immediately delete. Their post literally said “everyone loves it” but when I posted a comment about their real numbers they deleted it 😂
Haha oh man
Could you send a list of all the adapters used minus the gauges?

Excited to watch this!!!
Thanks for the honest review. Great stuff.
The Bauer brand(harbor freight) washer also come with m22x15 fyi
Unfortunately I did buy this from a friend and when I turned it on the first time, I leaked from inside
Chemical guys is sending me another as it was never opened prior to me getting it. My plan was to use this on my 45’ Rv hooked to my onboard tank… not feeling the excitement now after this great video.
i’ve been waiting for this to drop
Good review! As suspected, rebranded from the same liars that make my SunJoe. CG put a big shiny $100 bow on top of a $100 pressure washer.
Thank you for the review!!!
Greatly appreciate the pro/con information with your experienced knowledge!!!
What quick disconnect fitting did you use on the 50 foot pressure hose to connect to the chemical guys pro flow pressure washer?
Ok, but what about a electric one at home depot that says 1700psi? The loss the same?
What power washer would you recommend like to wash my truck at home n have a good long lasting power washer what would you recommend?
I love my Sunjoe I've had now five years and have no problems with it but I will be going with your Ryobi recommendation in case I have an issue with my Sunjoe as a backup. Thanks for the review on the CG pressure washer I will not be buying it.
