You really couldn't get any more thorough than that video. Every orifice, every washer, every soap concentration - what a load of work! Excellent job, much appreciated :).
27:49 I have the MJJC and after the foam is gone and I’m done washing and drying the car, I fill the bottle with water and spray until the bottle is empty to ensure no soap residue is left in the cannon and filter. So far so good after 2 seasons of use.
But Josh I already have 4 foam cannons, now I need another? Guess so, my Griot’s and MMJC are going to be jealous. I’m waiting for their new Active wall mount so I can put my 10 pressure washers, 4 washer guns and 4-5 foam cannons on the wall. Way to go Josh, making me spending more on car detailing.
I bought my Active 2.3 directly from Active. They were really kind and gave me a $100 voucher towards any accessory in the shop. I got the foam cannon for free. It should be here this week.
I love how thorough you are in your reviews Josh…for some reason, I haven’t bought into the hype of the foam cannon or lance-I kinda feel like once you’ve tried one you’ve tried them all; however-I’m very excited about the hose…just ordered one!
My SV3 cracked first day I got when I accidentally dropped it.The PET is very brittle as you stated. I Exchanged the SV3 for a ProV2 and it is the best!
I had the same results comparing it against the blue PWACCS Foam Cannon. Good foam but not as thick. The presentation, build quality, and looks of the Active Foam Cannon is top notch though.
I believe that adding warm/hot water with soap in a foam cannon is to improve mixing of the water/soap within the cannon. I don't see where adding hot water to the cannon would improve the foaming of the mixture. I do believe it is to improve the initial mixing of the cleaning solution within the foam cannon. My 2 cents.
I use the 1.1 orifice on my MJJC V2 Pro with Active 2.0 off your recommendation is that a bad idea? I always figured it would just give me more foam. The booklet in your video shows 1.3 is better for 2.0. Let me know please. Thanks for the video!
Great review. Glad you stay true to your reviews. Some of your colleagues are now promoting their own products and doing reviews on them. Talk about conflict of interest! Thanks again!
Thanks! I did announce I am releasing a pressure washer sometime next year, BUT there isn’t a lot of subjective opinion when it comes to the pressure washer side. I like being able to test the numbers and let the data show what works best for people. But with that said, I will always give me honest opinion on all things.
What they shouldof done is send you a preview kit and give them reviews before they sent out all new products. You picked out everything perfectly and could have easily been corrected before going world wide.
This was a killer video Josh you made some fantastic points and I agree with you on the nozzle spinning a bit too easy as I hate that about my MTM foam cannon it seems if you just look at it the spray pattern changes but I love the smoked out look of the Active Foam Cannon and might give it a shot. Thanks for the video as always
I’ve not been able to get great foam from GFX. Using the Adams pressure washer 2.0 with there premium foam cannon. I added 60ml of soap to it. Do you have any ideas?
If you buy the MJJC Pro V2, how many orifices come with it or do you have to buy them separately? I currently use the MTM with the narrow mouth, which is a pain, especially when trying to add Incredible Suds, and the Griots Boss, along with the Active 2.0. Would you recommend the 1.1 orifice on the MJJC with the Active 2.0 to get the best foam? Really like your channel, been subscribed for awhile now, has helped out alot in my car detailing.
Hey Josh, do you use a pressure washer and foam cars when you're doing a detail? Or do you do a rinseless wash to be more efficient and cost effective?
Loved grabbing a svs pro v2 for 20% off a little while ago from your site, and that certainly hasn’t changed after watching this. A more robust bottle, better foam production, etc. Anyway, thanks for the great testing comparisons. I was a little surprised that active didn’t keep the quick twist on/off feature from what I remember from the preview.
I'd like you to review and test the foam cannon and soap from Slick products. I use the touch less rewash and wash and wax and works ok. Just be fun to see your opinion
I have been using the Raincovo from Amazon. At first it was great but about 5 months ago I had to replace the crimp on the intake hose located within the bottle and most recently I am experiencing a delay in foam production. It takes between 1-3 seconds at full power for the cannon to start producing foam. I use a Ryobi 1800. If I don’t win this give away an Mjjc is on my short order form. Merry Christmas everyone. Give someone an encouraging word today; it may make a huge impact on their holiday season.
Usually all cannons have a 1.25 as it's very universal. The stainless filter is also the "foam generator/maker" so very important element of foam cannon.
Firbthe measuring cup that ypu used. Do you have to cut the tube to fit those smaller 16oz bottles. I Toclco made one for the 16-17oz bottles. They only make them for 32oz and gallon.
That Foam Cannon looks likes it's built like a tank. The foam production is actually not bad as I would rather have a thick "runny" foam, which to me seems like it would pull down the dirt and grime down to the ground better. The foam it was producing, especially in the higher concentrations of soap was perfect. Very thick foam, although, yes runny, but enough to quickly pull down whatever dirt and grime it has broken down on the surface. I guess it's a matter of preference. I still love my Griots' Brilliant FInish Foam Cannon and that thing produces some serious foam, even with the recommended dilutions. The foam this foam cannon produces reminds me of the type of foam those hose end sprayers produce. It's crazy it only produces the type of foam that it does. You would have thought they would have tested it against the big boys like MJJC, MTM, and Griots BOSS, and would have set their standards to that level. No doubt this foam cannon looks the part. It looks great by design and appearances alone. I love the design of that cannon.
Thank you for another great review!! I watched your video during the summer about the possible specs of the new MJJC Pro V3. Do you know when that is finally going to be released?
I get a huge difference in foam with DI water vs tap. Everytime im disappointed in my foam it inevitably means i forgot to turn off the bypass. I live just a bit north of you in south orange county as far as water quality
I really wish they would open up shipping to Hawaii. I’ve reached out to them multiple times but nothing has come through. Any item or order comes up as “cannot be shipped to your location.” I’ll have to wait till other retailers like The Clean Garage get them
@ I have. More often than not, anything available is sold by third parties and not Active themselves or Amazon. Paired with really high shipping costs.
I watch a lot of your reviews. Thanks for this. Im looking to upgrade my Griots brillant finish, it lacks on the foam output, even with Adams MEGA foam. Ill be going for the MJJC.
Great review! If you buy an active 2 or 2.3 you'll need a braided hose too so maybe the value is a lot better if you get this Active excessory package including the hose, wand and foam cannon versus MJJC and a branded hose?
Hey Josh - have you tried the Adam's Polishes Pressure Washer Super Flex Hose? I'm currently using the Uberflex from watching your video years ago. But looking at upgrading especially since I might get an Active 2.0. Thanks!
Great video Josh!! It would be interesting to see the amperage levels on it with different orifices, just to see how customizable it can get. I have the 2.3 right now. I've run the MTM's for a few years, these took a little while to be released and in my setup I have 3 cannons, so my next upgrade I have to decide if its the MJJC or this one. Maybe MTM decides to wake up and do something! Lol
That two stage cam on gun is similar to a compound bow action. Once you pull back it rotates so the hold is not full force, so easier to use as you stated
Ha I’m assuming you saw that I used the active for the video with the ryobi! Yeah it works really well. Here is a link though for an uberflex in case you still want to go that route www.amazon.com/dp/B018H74H74/?tag=detailgreen-20
I really like the video Josh! Shows a great comparison between the two. Active is putting out some really nice stuff! What I am struggling with right now is what pressure washer I should get. I have an active 2.0 that I love but it is going to burn up one of these days. Is the Active 2.3 the next step or is there a better one to get. I do detail as a side hustle and average about 3-4 cars a week(end). I will say that price point is not as much of a consideration for me, I’m not going to go hog wild with a $3,000 set up, just want to know what the next logical step would be since my hobby is now making me money. I really appreciate all the reviews you do for the community, they are a great help to the community. And thank you to Active for listening to the consumers and creating some really nice equipment to get people going right out of the box!
Thanks so much! I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy yet but keav is a great guy! Jeremy seems to have slowed his uploads so hopefully we will get a review from him on this!
Josh of course I was shocked Active had no answer on their rubber grip on gun they wouldn’t bother standing behind it so I bought OG Spec Mosmatic is an amazing gun
Josh, I use the pressure washer active 2.0 foam cannon mjjc pro v2.0 orifice 1.25. Active recommends for this pressure washer the orifice 1.35, should I change it to 1.35 to not damage pressure washer or can I continue using the orifice 1.25
I actually is a 1.1 a lot with the 2.0. But active recommends a 1.35. I am sticking to what I have been using, but I accept that it may cause an issue. The 1.25 would be a much safer bet over the 1.1… I think you should be ok, but again active does recommend the 1.35.
Start lifting weights now, so you can remove the factory installed nozzle. Josh had a problem and I had a bigger problem. While I'm 70-years old I kayaked 4-hours today at Lake Tahoe, so I'm no nursing home resident. I needed a vice grip on a screwdriver to remove the nozzle. I'm going to start eating rice from Thailand.
There is a bump in performance for sure! But I would probably wait till the active 2.0 wears out and then switch. If the 2.0 is working well I’d stick with it just to save some money… I will say that I could definitely feel the difference though when I switch form the 2.0 to the 2.3 in this test
@ thanks for the reply, I actually don’t have either of them but I’m getting one or the other. Sounds like the 2.3 is the way to go. Thanks for the help
Josh i am not a pro detailer, but a weekend warrior when it comes to taking care of my vehicles. I've learned what I know, from channels like yours and others. I've come a long way from the days of just using a bucket, soap, and a cellulose sponge. For the last 7 years, i've been using , believe it or not, a basic Sun Joe Elec. pressure washer and upgraded OG wand, hose, lance, and gun. I've got some good use from the SunJoe, but at some point, I want to upgrade to a more better quality Press. washer like the Active. Do you recommend me going with an Active or some other washer that is comparable?
Depends on budget! The active 2.3 is fantastic just a little bit loud compared to others in that category. Not super load or anything just louder than others at the price. The 2.0 is also great but it’s a universal motor so it doesn’t last as long as some of the induction motor units. If price isn’t an issue, I would look at the ar630tss. I use it in my business and it’s pretty bullet proof!
Hi Josh, another fantastic video really enjoyable content and useful easy to understand information, i've found a snow foam canon bargain in the uk, so don't know if its available on Amazon US but here in the UK Black Friday deals it's only £15.99 normally £23.99 to my eyes it looks identical to the mjjc V2 Pro and i'm only using it with a battery powered pressure washer but a good onena Dewalt DCMPW1600N with X2 54V 9mah batteries with a max psi rated at 1500PSI and this produces decent foam if possible i think you should check it out
Great analysis Josh. With all things being equal, do you think the MJJC 3 part filter has anything to do with its ability to make thicker foam? Thanks again for your honest and excellent review. I’m a DIY’er, so I’m sticking with my MJJC and Active 2.0
I’ve tested that because it’s the only visible difference I can find. It seems to help other foam cannon get a little bit more foam, but I don’t know for sure
When it comes to the foam Canon orifice I'm using a Ryobi 1800 1.2 gallon pressure washer the cheap $99 one. However I was out of client's house the other day I used his Simpson 3800 PSI I think it was 3 gallons or 2 gallons a minute and when I use that I'm with my MJJC v3 foam cannon, it spread out some foam that was so pretty way better than what my Ryobi has been doing lately. Once a week I take my foam cannon apart and I boil the filters that's on the inside. I don't use any kind of soap with wax The only soap I use is P&S Pearl. My question is if I use the 1.1 orifice on the higher grade pressure washer is there any disadvantages or consequences that could happen
AMP surge if your pressure washer stresses the outlet. I.E. With the Actives, their 15amp motor will surge to 17-18 amps, which could trip your breaker if you are on a 15amp outlet.
@korierm74 I have my pressure washer plugged into a 30 amp breaker. The pressure washer is not surging, it's just not performing as good as it use to with the Foam Cannon. And it does seem as tho the PSI has dropped from the green tip that I use. I did try swapping out to my back up Craftsman with similar specs. It surged breaker never tripped and I could smell the internal pump/ wires burning. I'm think about going to a gas pressure washer, but undecided.
@DIYRAYMOND Not sure then. The pressure washer you are using may need a larger office. Just guessing. A machine with a high gpm may not like the constant strain of pushing less water through a smaller orifice.
@@korierm74 yea it's crazy, I use to could be farther away from the vehicle and it have decent pressure and foam coming out the MJJC v3. I've been cleaning the 3 filters faithfully every week by boiling them in a pot of water for like 20min. That's been doing good. Then like the last maybe 2 weeks I haven't been getting the performance like I use to. Now in using too much soap on a vehicle. I just need to get thru these next 3 days before the holiday weekend.
The active kit is no bargain; about the same price as the parts individually; is the $650 active setup really worth twice the Ryobi with your recommended accessories? the hose is twice the price of the uberflex; it is that much better? Is it better at all? Your usually recommended accessories are about $70 less than the active kit.
Hey Josh looking to buy the MJJC PRO 2 from your store. Is it an actual MJJC foam cannon covered by MJJC in case I have to use warranty? Also what is your code for 20% off in your store? Thanks
@ OK GREAT… just seems like the most recommended foam cannon. There are cheaper ones with similar performance on AMAZON but I think the build quality is worth the extra cost.

You could modify your own and experiment. The easiest one is a pump spray foamer, the more "restrictive" it is the more foam.
What orfice would you suggest for foam cannon for gas pump 3.5 @ 3500, 3.0 @ 2400 and 5.5 @ 3500?

I’ve been speaking to the factory a lot and each month they tell me at the end of the month…. So I’m sure unfortunately
I get a huge difference in foam with DI water vs tap. Everytime im disappointed in my foam it inevitably means i forgot to turn off the bypass. I live just a bit north of you in south orange county as far as water quality
Interesting! Good to know, maybe I’ll test it again but for me there wasn’t a noticeable difference
I really wish they would open up shipping to Hawaii. I’ve reached out to them multiple times but nothing has come through. Any item or order comes up as “cannot be shipped to your location.” I’ll have to wait till other retailers like The Clean Garage get them
Have you tried on their Amazon listings?
I have them on sale on my site currently for Black Friday.. code bf20
What are you planning on doing with the 2.0 and 2.3?
I’ve given a lot of them away and that’s actually why I had to order new ones ha. I have to hang on to these for a while for some more testing
Lol
Yea the wide mouth mtm was a bit lack luster. It would be great if they came out with something new
That two stage cam on gun is similar to a compound bow action. Once you pull back it rotates so the hold is not full force, so easier to use as you stated
That’s a great comparison example! Thanks
Awesome. I was just searching yesterday if this was out yet!
Enjoy
Can you test it with the AR 630 TSS?
will that hose work well with a Ryobi 1800 ?
having a hard time finding a 50ft uberflex
lol, should have waited before I asked
The warm water helps dissolve the soap products.
Josh V your videos are amazing you are my favorite along with Cars with Keav and Jeremy from Hawaii Detailing all others do not compare
They just need to add a spanner to help remove the quick connect and maybe add the nozzles to it maybe screw in ? For the 4 included nozzles
The Glock of pressure washer nozzles lol
I was about to pull the trigger on 199 bundle but then i heard the MJJC released stainless steel mjjc s v3.0 pro
Not yet… the pro v3 I e heard is going to be stainless steel but they are still delaying production because of the bottle not being correct yet
Would the 1.25mm orfice be correct for the original Active (VE52/VE56)PW?
Good question.. it would be that or the 1.35
Josh, I use the pressure washer active 2.0 foam cannon mjjc pro v2.0 orifice 1.25.
@@imjoshv thank you
The 1.25 should draw just about 15 amps. If you have a sensitive breaker panel, the 1.35 should be slightly safer.
Very nice that the orifice are marked I really do like my mjjc but I may get the active thanks josh great video
It’s a great choice! And it looks great. You can’t go wrong with it
Start lifting weights now, so you can remove the factory installed nozzle. Josh had a problem and I had a bigger problem. While I'm 70-years old I kayaked 4-hours today at Lake Tahoe, so I'm no nursing home resident. I needed a vice grip on a screwdriver to remove the nozzle. I'm going to start eating rice from Thailand.
@ they must have used a impact lol 😆
Can you post a link of the pro blend

Hey Josh, unrelated but do you feel the active 2.3 is worth the upgrade over the 2.0? Thanks
Very nice.
Thank you
Gucci packaging! 🤙
Right!
I pre-ordered my Active accessory package in October and it showed up, November 21, 2024. 🙂🙂
👍👍
I like Active due to their transparency as they develop new stuff and how they engage the community while doing so.
The MJJC 3.0 is hard to top. It lays down nice thick foam every time and plenty of it.
Yeah the sv3 and the prov2 get the same amount of foam since they use the same head. The sv3 is a great unit!!
As to your use of the GG BOSS foam cannon try their lower priced model, BRILLANT Foam cannon. Does not accept product bottles but very good results
I have! It’s a good unit too but didn’t get as much foam for me as the boss

Hi, do you recommend nerta shampoos products?
I actually haven’t used them
@ is there a carrying canon soap? Like a bag-back. Apologies for asking many questions.
Still can’t buy the 2.3 in Australia
Out front as usual. Thank you for your enthusiasm
My pleasure!
Hey Josh looking to buy the MJJC PRO 2 from your store. Is it an actual MJJC foam cannon covered by MJJC in case I have to use warranty? Also what is your code for 20% off in your store? Thanks
Yes it is! In order direct from the factory. Code is bf20
@ OK GREAT… just seems like the most recommended foam cannon. There are cheaper ones with similar performance on AMAZON but I think the build quality is worth the extra cost.
