    Hello Future KNOW IT ALL'S! Why did I come up with this? Frustration Builds invention!!! oh, and being a tightwad penny pincher helps as well LOL! Well very simply put I became so infuriated when I would go to use the glue for a small project and it was hard and gooey. So I said to myself, Mr. Know It All, why does this happen? It hit Me like a ton of bricks when I realized it was Becoming exposed to air even though I would tighten the cap down like a gorilla. ***Quote of the Week! Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.***

    That seems like a pretty excellent way to keep your glue from drying out. I had an old plumber who once told me his trick for glues he didn't use very often was to store them upside down. That way the glue would harden in any non-sealed parts of the cap and keep it from drying out. That seems to work also.

      We used to do the same thing for paint cans, store them upside down so you wouldn't have to peel off a thick skin on the top of the paint if the next use was months away.

    The stars have aligned!
    I had a thought about placing the PVC glue, still in the can, into a large mouth mason jar and vacuuming the sucker down.
    And here you are doing the same thing with a bag! Confirmation!

    Also when you're painting and you get paint on your hands or arms spray it with WD40 and it dissolves right off. It works better than soap and water.

    Great idea for paint soaked brushes , like when you have to rush out of the house , or plan on continuing the work later. Wrap in saran wrap & vacuum seal!
    Just the saran wrap & ziploc & putting it in the fridge works but adding the vacuum step before refrigeration would extend the paint brush readiness almost indefinitely!

    On the coffee filter trick. I use a coffee filter or a dryer sheet and put it over a new lawn mower/edger/chain saw/etc. to keep factory filter cleaner. When the outer filter gets dirty I
    replace it, blow out factory filter. A very light coat of WD-40 will catch even more dust.

    I must have thrown away about a dozen PVC glue cans over that years because they went bad on me. I also have an industrial vacuum packer. I never even connected putting the two together, (I'll have to change my name to Dumb Bunny). Now I'll go and dig out the two or three cans of glue that I have and vacuum pack 'em, (assuming I don't have to throw them away again). Thanks for the great tip! Good tip on the coffee filters too, although I have used a permanent metal mesh basket for years now.

    Thanks for the tip! Haven't thought about using a vacuum sealer! There's aerosol spray of nitrogen that you spray into paint containers that displaces the oxygen. A Canadian specialty tool catalogue company called Lee Valley tools sold it some years back.
    I know that certain glues, adhesives can be stored in the fridge & some even in the freezer. I'm pretty sure that large silicone tubes can be stored in the fridge to extend their useful life.
    Any way to evacuate, to displace oxygen & lower temperature is ideal.

    Or... with the lid off, fill the top of the can with propane (from a propane torch) long enough to displace the air. Propane is heavier and will settle on the paint surface and keep the air in the can from slowly solidifying the glue. If you have a car channel, you probably use POR-15... this works great to keep your POR-15 from going bad too.

My food saver is basically just like yours😄now, I want to see you seal up a bag of boneless chicken breasts(usually 3 from Sam's)w/o using the moist button😉😁. What's your dog's name? Hey my brother! I pre-freeze any meat as to not have the juice interfere with the sealing process :) It's a whole thing :) We have 2 rescue dogs, one is Lucy and the one with the black circle around her eye is Lily, and I will let Karmella know you have pity on her :) LOLOL Have a blessed week my friend. Use a little lacquer thinner in it that does pretty good

      @@MrKnowItAllGuru So laquer thinner makes this video unnecessary ..lol

      @MrKnowItAllGuru  10 месяцев назад +1

      are you being sarcastic??? the lacquer thinner degrades the glue, but in a pinch it will soften it enough to use and 99% or the people out there cannot get lac thinner..SA
