another phenomenal video!!! thank you! evergreen gardens was always my least fave but I enjoyed seeing your interpretation of it. also: the timelapse speed is perfect
Good to see you still making great videos. I remember putting my arrow looper in that same corner (and having to wait for the loops to unlock). Cheers!
Hey thanks a lot and great to hear from you! I do indeed remember this - and I possibly have you to thank for subconsciously giving me the inspiration for the Arrow looper in the first place! I miss watching your videos, do you have any plans at all to continue? Thanks for dropping a comment, cheers!
I think you've got a good speed for the timelapse. It's fast enough I don't get bored, but not so fast the video ends too fast. Also, the commentary mostly manages to keep pace with the footage, which I think matters more than the exact speed. Also, the park is looking great. Looking forward to seeing what you do with that extra 4th year you get on this scenario. I'm glad you kept the iconic garden where you made the mazes.
Thanks very much! I know the commentary can be a bit 'off' sometimes, and I think I've discovered its because I spend too long giving a 'recap' of the previous part of the build. I will try and address that in future videos. Glad you like the park so far! I am really happy about getting an extra year, hopefully I can fill out the rest of the park somewhat decently. Thanks again!
Great video! Timelapse speed is totally fine. A few highlights for me this time: - The little plazas and alcoves you're making for the food stands are top notch. Isolating them, highlighting the stand, and providing seating are all really nice moves to give those areas some significance rather than just sitting along a path. I could learn something there. - Love that you go back and adjust rides after. Like extending the Arrow to what feels like a much more complete layout or opening the monorail as a shuttle. It's a smart way to realize the benefits of the ride while still planning for the future. - Great choice on the location of the skyride. Makes good use of those two peaks. Very much looking forward to the next one!
@@AmusementAcademy thanks very much for the comments! I do indeed love tinkering with ride layouts, it can be to my detriment at times as I sometimes struggle to find the 'perfect' solution which can take a while to achieve sometimes!
Looking good, excited to see it completed! As for the speed, like I mentioned before, I think its great. One thing I think really helps that you do is having a general plan of where to put what and how to decorate. Cutting out the trial and error stuff is really nice, and something I should do more of lol
Thank you! Yeah I tend to plan out the coasters a bit ahead of time just so I don't take up the whole scenario, although I usually make a change or two on the final build. Thanks again!
What a fantastic use of that space at the back, with the big corkscrew and the other rides, I usually don't bother with it at all! Regarding the timelapse speed, I think it's alright, couldn't hurt maybe being a tad slower, though most important I think is that the commentary keeps up with the video
Thanks very much and glad you liked how the corkscrew turned out! I will certainly consider slowing it down a touch in the future as that seems to be in favour of the general consensus so far! I will definitely keep in mind about making sure the commentary aligns well with the actual build. Cheers!
@@MickanMansRCTStation haha yeah, I saw the drop after the first hill and immediately knew what it was inspired by, I saw the predrop and was like, yeah no this is inspired by vortex 100%
This is really coming together nicely. I never really build sprawling coaster layouts like this due to spatial OCD but with the other rides and observation areas dotted throughout, it really is quite impressive and something I want to try myself to break away from my typical build style!
Thanks very much! Ah yes I totally understand what you mean by the spatial OCD - I felt like that's exactly how I used to play. I always preferred coasters that were bound by a 'region' and I would hardly allow myself to deviate from that prescribed area. Hope you give it a try one day!
@@elappen17 thanks very much! I'm not totally sure to be honest, options are Bumbly Beach, Razor Rocks and Jolly Jungle but I haven't settled on one just yet!
Hahaha, I perhaps should have put a caveat in that statement! When I say 'great' stats I meant really in terms of how much they contribute to ride ticket/park entry prices and park value
Thought maybe I should comment: I commented on one of Brian's videos saying that the 6x speed made me feel a little sick. I think it's different in your case. Since Brian's recordings are from streams, he moves the view around a lot while he talks to chat, probably talking about what he wants to put where. Slowing down to 4x speed in his case made it a lot easier to watch. I don't have that issue with your videos though, and I was surprised you said it was 6x. I think it's just because you keep the camera a lot steadier overall.
That makes sense. Yeah anywhere from 6x-8x. Usually for coaster builds where I move the screen a bit more I slow it down, but for landscaping/scenery where I'm not panning around as much it's 8x. I appreciate your thoughts on this and I will keep this in mind!
While I enjoy that your videos are just 20 Minutes long, I often would like it to be a bit slower. The things you describe / your thought process often don't match the shown gameplay. Have you considered streaming live on youtube?
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I sometimes do struggle to 'catch up' the commentary to the actual build, possibly because I spend too long giving a 'recap' of the previous episodes events. I could consider removing this or just doing a quick 'real time recap' - not sure what your thoughts are on this. As for the live streaming, I'm not totally sure about it as I'm probably not too good at explaining my thought process/describing a build whilst actually doing it, so it's not something I've ever seen myself doing to be honest. Having said that I am always open to trying something new so I will have a think about it!
Oh no! I can certainly understand why it might not be everyone's favourite - although I would probably say Lightning Peaks is my least favourite with that very unfriendly terrain!
1:54 The detail with the bushes by raising the four corners of the ground is great 👌🏼👌🏼 These kind of tricks deserve more fame haha
Haha thanks for noticing that! Just wanted those shrubs raised a little more than the rest!

Judging but the first drop on the corkscrew I already knew what the coaster was inspired by.
Haha it is very distinctive isn't it?!

Overpriced souvenirs are actually the most realistic aspect of RCT LOL
Hahaha - true! Good call!
I love all your videos but I do not mind a longer video. It is a little too fast.
Good to know - thanks for your kind words!

Say that to the launched freefall in my park I built 105 ft high and got 6.87 nausea

I think if the corkscrew coaster is Vortex from King Island inspiration, only appropriate to call the Corkscrew coaster as "Vortex".
I think you may be right! It's a great name in its own right, but I think I will do exactly that.
