A few more details about the bike...
1. Tire sizes include 29x2.5-3.0 and 27.5x3.8/4.0-4.5 with the 4.5 requiring the longer spindle. Some larger 4.5" tires may also require flipping the chainring for a more optimal chainline.
2. There are cable guides on the underside of the non-drive chainstay for a Rohloff hub.
3. A UDH derailleur hanger will be available in the near future.
4. You can fit up to a 38t chainring with the wider spindle or a 32t with the narrower one.
Awesome you got your hands on one of these! I was super intrigued by the steel version of the Torgnat but they sold out super quick. Great review, this thing looks awesome!

It's a sweet ride
Good stuff, love the ethos of making super versatile bikes like this, my only worry with changing the spindle widths, is knee pain. If it was my bike, I think I'd find the width I liked and stick with that, but then still have different wheel sets.
Also people that paint over raw titanium frames should probably be locked away for all our safety. 👍👍
Yeah I switch pretty regularly and it can feel a little funny at the beginning of a ride, but I know I’m not as sensitive to it as many people.
Dang it, the last thing I need is an excuse to get another Ti bike. I ride a medium Wednesday but have Hudsky Longhorn handlebars and super short stem on because I have long legs short torso and like the taller/shorter thing. The Torngat has really interesting geo and I too am in between sizes. What are your thoughts on 12 speed in crappy conditions? I went with Box Componenets 9 speed 11-50 because I've heard the 12 speed stuff isn't great in teh longevity/durability department. Thanks for the great video.
Interesting bike and nice looking trails there. I'm still thinking about a fat bike and with all the sales going on now I can build a Surly ICT for about $3400 and get it down to 30 lbs if my math is right. How would that compare to a Ti bike? I just ride blue singletrack in the desert. I currently ride a Karate Monkey and also subscribe to the N+1-1.

How is the bottom bracket stiffness, when you stand up and pedal hard does it flex much? Looks like a cool bike, really interested in something like this or the jones, but the weight of the jones kinda worries me.
There’s no noticeable flex so far and it has the longer spindle on it which should be more prone to it if there was going to be any.
this is a really great bike!. what do you think about the fezzari explorer? specially for winter. Do you think it is worth it? I am thinking about that one but hasn't been released. I need some expert point of view...
The Explorer Peak is an e-bike if I remember right…I like the Kings Peak on paper so I’m sure the new one will be pretty sweet if you’re wanting an e-bike.

How does it compare to your Mayor? Value-wise and fun/ride quality. I know you ride that both fat and 29 plus too.
I don't have a great comparison there yet since I've only ridden this with a rigid fork and fat tires. They fall in different categories though so it's apples and oranges.
If there were some way to run gravel bike tires it would be a great only bike but if there skinniest you can go is 3.0 than its basically still just a fat tire / mid fat bike
You can run down to a 29x2.5 so while not necessarily gravel sized, its potentially a great fat and and MTB replacement.
I’m anxious to see that 750d wheel size-I bet it’ll be perfect for “skinny” tires on a fat bike.
What is the BB shell width?
It uses a PF107 bottom bracket.
Is shifting still okay with the changed chain line?
We will let Casey comment on the 'real world' shift experience, but we can say that we ship the bike with a 3mm offset chainring that should be flipped depending on the crankset spindle configuration used. This gives a 6mm chainline difference when it is flipped, so when the shorter spindle is being used, the chain is actually moved by 4mm compared to the wide spindle setup. This translate to a 1 cog step on the rear cassette, so nothing really noticeable from our testing.
I haven't done any tinkering yet, but as mentioned there isn't much of a difference when you swap everything around so I wouldn't expect any issues at all.

Not a fan of the over-priced metal. I doubt that you or I could feel the difference between titanium, steel, carbon, or aluminum when running Plus or Fat tires. Given a frame that's built right, any of these materials could be compliant or stiff depending on the qualities wanted. Personally, I'll take aluminum. It's light, it doesn't rust, and it's cheap.
I understand where you're coming from as I'm not particularly picky about most components or frame materials, but I do think titanium is a pretty cool frame material. Like aluminum it doesn't rust, but it's harder to dent/damage and has some of the ride feel of steel without the weight. You're right though, frame design and build quality probably play a bigger role than the material itself.
But steel rhymes with real and feel, so it must be better.
