I’d like to think Brok’s soul bits, without any direction due to his missing part, stayed with the Spear. Sindri, now familiar with Atreus’s “technique” he used on Odin and Fenrir, starts doing heinous things for the sake of research. They’re then reunited in a fight with Kratos…one way or another.
When Sindri first told the story of how Brok died and he stole his soul back, i was shocked. Sindri had always been such a light hearted comedy relief character with a wholesome relationship with his Brother. Hearing such a horrific story come from his mouth was shocking. Seeing what Sindri is now is just scary, i feel so bad for him. Great character.
This moment was exactly what Brok needed to keep his confidence and Kratos being a general knew this and responded as a leader should. Fucking brilliant
This really shows how much better of a person Kratos is from the other gods. He, the mighty god of war, capable of unleashing destruction on the pantheons of the world, kneels down to a humble blacksmith; a dwarf, one the gods treat like slaves.
@@wkkqewqaver7766 zesus killed kratos at beginning of GOW3 when zesus throw a thunderbolt at kratos & Gaia knocking both off mount Olympus. And kratos fell all the way into the underworld. So yea zesus did Kill kratos. As usual Kratos fought his way out.
You can never say Kratos didn't appreciate Brok, he knew he was a honest man, a kind soul, a wise person and a true artist. Having him bless the weapon probably meant more than had the Lady of the Forge done so. Its too bad Sindri never knew of this.
Well to make Brock feel better Kratos died three times first time when Ares threw the massive piece of wood that killed him, second when Zeus killed him with the Blade of Olympus, and last time was when he literally stabbed himself.
Brok's soul isn't in Helheim since only Mortals and Gods who died a dishonorable death goes there. Giants, Dwarves, Elves, Wolves and many other besides Mortals and Gods goes to the light of Alfheim but since Brok is missing his soul's direction he can't return to the light. Basically his soul is wandering for eternity.
Brok was revived with only 3/4 of his soul, after dying again he was basically erased from existence because he would only go to the afterlife with a complete soul.
Kratos cared for Brok so much that he, a God, someone who has killed people Greater and lesser than him, who cared for and losed everyone, kneeled down to let Brok give his blessing.
Hearing BROK, being excited to meet "The Lady of the Forge" is wholesome the change in his tone speaks it all. But after the meeting just ruined the mood to an extremely shocked.
The cold stare in the eyes after such a emotional moment is a real example of how men deal with their emotions While looking at each other after this moment they are clearly saying to each other: "I know what i mean to you, you know what you mean to me"
If you think about it, there are many meanings of the spear in which one of them is the memory of brok. He blessed the spear so each strike and each kill is a memory to him.
The true gravity of this is knowing how so many of Kratos’s weapons are forged and blessed by the Gods themselves, and yet the ones that mean the most to him are those gifted by his family
Anyone noticed the detail of them emerging out of the water while Brok blesses the spear similar to baptisms, pretty sure that was purely intentional and genius
After this scene I was thinking that kratos would die at the hands of Thor and then you as Atreus would go to alheim to get his soul parts back and go from there or vise versa
Mimir told us once a soul lost its direction, it can never regain it. Its denied an afterlife alltogether. Which means by getting resurrected, even if he had all 4 bits, would still cease to exist the moment of death. Thats why other Dwarfes shunned the brothers, that is why it was considered so heinous of an act to even think of. Denying someone an afterlife in a world full of magic and guaranteed eternal peace? It was selfish, it was unthinkable. And Brok still forgave his brother just the same. Rest in piece the greatest blacksmith to ever live.

I think Sindri’s mad at himself more than he is at Kratos and Atreus, cause he knows his actions have denied Brok any peace in the afterlife. He’s just so angry he doesn’t know how to properly use that anger, and he’s taking it out on them.
@@Twocoolman115 He'll probably come around like Freya did. Just wish we haven't seen the last of him.
4:00 the acting is amazing. he really sells the fact that he is upset, scared, angry and confused. cheers Robert Craighead
Poor Brok, and Sindri did get what he deserves but i still feel sorry for him
I honestly thought kratos was gonna look for broks souls in the elf light place using the blades of hades since they can take souls and what not and we’ll both brothers done a lot for kratos and it would of been nice of kratos to return the favor by making broke whole again
Whatre you talking about, he lost those a long time ago
are you slow? mirmir said that after you lose a piece of your soul you don’t get a afterlife, so they can’t look for brok or his soul bc he doesn’t exist anymore
@@gigi3125 He doesn't exist in the afterlife. The fragments of his soul could still be in the other nine realms...
:( don't make me say Brok is gone for good.
Hey! No spoilers for GOD OF WAR RETURNING TIDES
Why is everyone in the comment section being so mean 😞
Kratos : first time?
I laughed out loud
I know that this is both a serious and sad issue happening here, but 4:37 just cracks me up
I’d like to think Brok’s soul bits, without any direction due to his missing part, stayed with the Spear.
Knowing this is even more heartbreaking. He saved his brother just to lose him again
This moment was exactly what Brok needed to keep his confidence and Kratos being a general knew this and responded as a leader should. Fucking brilliant
Brok's Spear (I don't even consider it to be the Druphnir spear anymore) is probably the strongest Godly weapon in the entire series.
Ik a name for it
The Spear that slaughtered Odin
04:28 me after fighting Gna for 500th time
As soon as they brought up Brok's first death and the missing soul piece, I knew to get ready for heartbreak 💔
This really shows how much better of a person Kratos is from the other gods. He, the mighty god of war, capable of unleashing destruction on the pantheons of the world, kneels down to a humble blacksmith; a dwarf, one the gods treat like slaves.
6:15: cheer up Brock, kratos died 3 times, killed by Aries, killed 2twice by Zeus. 4times if you count Thor killing kratos.
Wrong in god of war 3 he killed himself not zeus.
@@ChiefBarnesArt no he did not die it was actually never made clear he just fell all the way from mount Olympus down into the river styx.
@@wkkqewqaver7766 he did just death can’t hold those with a purpose. And its kratos death can’t defeat him.
kratos must collect all 7 Dragon Balls to wish brok came back
Nothing brightens your day quite like “OLD BROK TO THE RESCUE!”
This could've been a foreshadowing for Brok's unfortunate end.
Mimir: We all die sometime. Many of us more than once.
Kratos: ... ( *yeah* )
You can never say Kratos didn't appreciate Brok, he knew he was a honest man, a kind soul, a wise person and a true artist. Having him bless the weapon probably meant more than had the Lady of the Forge done so. Its too bad Sindri never knew of this.
3:22 funniest thing brok said😂
I wish someone made a video that dissected and explained the top of both of their heads
Brok is the only one who can talk to kratos how ever he wants
i love the banter between mimir and broke. "no shut up, fuck you"
It's funny to think that all 3 of them indeed died at least one point of their existence.
It was the spit after the blessing for me. Brok rocks. 😂
6:23 «Bruh… when you knew Faye»
“Just fucked off into the kelp” 😂😂😂
Come to think of it, i think Brok is the most possible person in that game.
Kratos is like "I, too, know what it is like to die"
A reject blessing the weapon of another reject. Beuitiful.
4:30 every competitive game be like
his theme at the end hit hard
Broks voice actor has the best voice of all time
Well to make Brock feel better Kratos died three times first time when Ares threw the massive piece of wood that killed him, second when Zeus killed him with the Blade of Olympus, and last time was when he literally stabbed himself.
i hope kratos, sindri, and mimir would go adventure to rescue brok's soul in Helheim
@@yorway and thats why kratos, sindri and mimir should go and find him
@@muckiemarfe2782 They can't.
Brok was revived with only 3/4 of his soul, after dying again he was basically erased from existence because he would only go to the afterlife with a complete soul.
@@Fernandojooj dang!
3:21 Got a genuine laugh out of me
Kratos cared for Brok so much that he, a God, someone who has killed people Greater and lesser than him, who cared for and losed everyone, kneeled down to let Brok give his blessing.
Won’t lie, when Kratos asked for Brok’s blessing and knelt down, I got misty eyed 🥹
The moment Kratos requested Brok to bless Draupnir, my heart ached.
Hearing BROK, being excited to meet "The Lady of the Forge" is wholesome the change in his tone speaks it all. But after the meeting just ruined the mood to an extremely shocked.
The cold stare in the eyes after such a emotional moment is a real example of how men deal with their emotions
While looking at each other after this moment they are clearly saying to each other: "I know what i mean to you, you know what you mean to me"
So there’s never a point where Kratos and Mimir are told about Brok, it’s just implied they know?
Mimir is from there so he would of probably guessed when they arrived in the realm
They instantly figured out whats going on when he couldn't hear what the mermaid said to them.
didnt sindri tell them at one point?
@@jessenokka4813 he told Atreus, but whether Atreus told his father/Mimir I have no idea.
@@Astralfirework oooh right i forgot i played as atreus when he said it 😅
Kratos wisdom is close to enlightenment.. amazing dialog bits
"The fuck you want?"
~Brok~
Good to know that Christopher Judge isn’t carrying the reboot by himself anymore.
Whole time I thought he couldn’t talk to her cause he would mess it up ain’t even think that
4:18 is both hilarious and heartbreaking.
Anyone noticed the detail of them emerging out of the water while Brok blesses the spear similar to baptisms, pretty sure that was purely intentional and genius
Damn I love Brok half the games value is cause of him IMO!!
I just realized if Atreus had acted faster maybe he could’ve preserved what remained of Brock’s soul in a marble?
After this scene I was thinking that kratos would die at the hands of Thor and then you as Atreus would go to alheim to get his soul parts back and go from there or vise versa
Very interesting and exciting video. I love this topic.
0:46 the way sindri says "As should you with your father"
It sort of sounds like sindri is implying that Brok is his father 😂
Mimir told us once a soul lost its direction, it can never regain it. Its denied an afterlife alltogether.
Which means by getting resurrected, even if he had all 4 bits, would still cease to exist the moment of death.
Thats why other Dwarfes shunned the brothers, that is why it was considered so heinous of an act to even think of.
Denying someone an afterlife in a world full of magic and guaranteed eternal peace?
It was selfish, it was unthinkable.
And Brok still forgave his brother just the same.
Rest in piece the greatest blacksmith to ever live.
It was a motif and it was beautiful!
I loved them even more in this scene
