This guy is truly amazing. He was at the highest of the highest level and lost that explosive athleticism. Then he accepted it and transformed his body and entire style of play to stay at the highest level. That's some amazing growth and change. I'm happy he's still in the league.

Derrick Rose is a generational talent who ALMOST withered away like Tracy or Roy but he adapted like a rose growing out of a concrete jungle he still fought his way to survive in this new NBA. He’s been an inspiration to me since I was a kid, it’s sweet to see him still playing.

Seeing Derrick Rose as a starter with more time on the court will be great. He changed his playing style to save his body damaged by so many injuries, but technically he is at a very high level, even better than many younger players in the league today. Derick deserved a better team and so he deserves to end his career with a title.
So I just recently watched a video of drose in his prime during his Chicago days and man if he doesn’t get hurt he would absolutely be in the conversation for being the best point guard of all time!
I hope D-Rose plays very well for Memphis this season, but it's just kind of hard for me to understand why he didn't choose to join Boston as a free agent this past off-season since he said he wants to win. All I can conclude as a possibility of why he didn't join that team was the fact the Celtics were the 1st team to eliminate him and his Bulls team in his 1st playoff appearence during the 2009 playoffs, and he may have held a grudge against them ever since.
