This is probably going to be hard for some of you to believe, but D Rose had a bigger impact on kids in Chicago than Michael ever did. This is hard to see. In New York we didn’t see the MVP Rose but there wasn’t a fan who didn’t love him, to see him on the court. He was one of those rare players who looked like an artist, every movement, every floater was beautiful. I was so glad to see him get his reward last night, and especially his joy that his number was going to be retired. Never was “what if” better - every one of hid teammates loved him, the fans too - wherever he played. Pretty cool.

I've been a lifelong Celtics fan. I love Derrick Rose. He was INCREDIBLE before he physically broke down. He could have been a top-10 all-time player, but injuries robbed him of the best of his career. One could feel bad for him for this alone...but it turns out DRose is the Real One, too. He gave everything to Chicago and the game, and he's a super-solid dude off the court.

Such an amazing player, that ACL injury fucked up everything leading up to the trade. Seeings this almost 10 years later still kills me to see, we all know how good he really was and would have been.
That ACL was gonna give out anywags. Man played like a complete moron. He should have adjusted to different play styles and use that explosiveness for critical situations. This is hard to see. In New York we didn’t see the MVP Rose but there wasn’t a fan who didn’t love him, to see him on the court. He was one of those rare players who looked like an artist, every movement, every floater was beautiful. I was so glad to see him get his reward last night, and especially his joy that his number was going to be retired. Never was “what if” better - every one of hid teammates loved him, the fans too - wherever he played. Pretty cool.
As a bulls fan this brings me to tears :( just goes to show never put all your loyalty into a team it’s sad that once they feel you’ve done enough they just up and trade you… I will always and always root for D Rose no matter what jersey he’s wearing ! He made watching the bulls exciting!

I've been a lifelong Celtics fan. I love Derrick Rose. He was INCREDIBLE before he physically broke down. He could have been a top-10 all-time player, but injuries robbed him of the best of his career. One could feel bad for him for this alone...but it turns out DRose is the Real One, too. He gave everything to Chicago and the game, and he's a super-solid dude off the court.
This is precisely why I agree with KD's comments on why people are mad about players asking out of their teams and yet don't ask questions when a team/admin trades out a player who poured their heart and soul into an organization. You don't pay someone to be loyal, you have to show loyalty first.
