Two things; First: that actually looks really good. Some sort of racing livery would make the red/silver look intentional. Second: can we all just take a minute to appreciate Jack and Ethan. Despite liking alex aswell, I think I have to say that these two guys are the real MVPs. Great work fellas 👏

Yes. That's a big improvement. Lowering always looks cool, no matter how it rides (always was the same with classic Beetles too). The front lip is subtle, and helps visually lower it at the front. Spoiler - there is a smaller spoiler available that I think looks less boy racer and still works well. The wheels do look good with the lowering, and even the colour works with the colour of the wings and bumpers. As you say, it looks like it was a more thought out look. Removing those headlight eyebrows was a good move. The LED's work on the Beetle as they are a bit of fun, and the Beetle is a fun car. The only mod I don't like is making the headlights yellow. For about £50 to £60 you could install brighter and whiter headlight bulbs (Philips and Osram make some good ones), LED white side light bulbs, LED number plate lights, reverse lights, and interior light. It's amazing how those brighter and whiter bulbs make the car look that little bit better, and much better to drive at night. Try it as a simple cheap comparison video.
I think keep the color, it's sort of a trade mark at this point. I bet it gets looks of disbelief or puts a smile on people's faces. Definitely the latter for me. Would love to see a DIY detail on it, perhaps an exhaust and eBay turbo down the line 😄
I had one of these in blue, someone had smoked a million cigs in it previously and it would give me a headache driving it. I eventually got rid of the smell, lowered it, put a big set of wheels on it and 2 spoilers on the rear. One where yours is, from time to time and one at the top of the back window. I thought it looked alright for what it was but it was one of the most unreliable pos I ever owned (apart from an MGF) which was much worse tbf. An ex girlfriend did a runner with it and when she finally handed it back...let's say she hadn't improved it. Traded it in for a Honda accord type S as the turbo had blown on it (it was a diesel). Well I'm glad I got that off my chest. Great video and keep up the good work lads 👍🏼
I think you need to take this Modern Beetle to a Classic Volkswagen Beetle & Bus meet-up, and try to 'Blend in'. Would be great to see the public's reaction.

That is indeed a massive improvement! It looks fantastic! I would have gone the vintage route with it, to lean into the two tone. But that’s not to nitpick, as I like the way it turned out!
I don't know if I should admit this, but, I like it. It's cleaned up nicely, maybe venting the wheel arches and fixing the spoiler would add a bit of utterly useless sportiness to it. Oh, and that VW badge on the front, either paint it black with crimson red inserts, or, paint it crimson and keep the black inserts. A decent exhaust up next maybe? Make some pops and bangs!???

Love it, the 2 tone is offputting a bit and a shame the wing wont stick but the yellow headlights give a proper Le Mans look to it and the frontsplitter with the new wheels finishes it quite nicely. only addition thing I dislike is the "neonz", would've go with a pancake "sport" airfilter instead. all in all definitely a great build for the particular circumstance... I really like it! Even the two tone paint looks good now. The front end looks soo good with the black lower grill, splitter and tinted lights! I don’t even like this era of beetle but I wouldn’t be unhappy with it if my parents had bought this for me for a first car 😂
what this needs is a giant rallycross style double wing and wide body kit. Just makes everything look infinitely cooler. And I wanna see you fabricate that stuff :D

Not going to lie quite impressed with how that turd looks now. Crazy what some wheels and coilovers. And some little bit can do to a car tbh goes to show you don't need a massive budget to have something to look tidy again
I used to work for a dealership that sold VWs. To a one, all of them said the absolute worst car to work on either mechanically or from a bodywork perspective was The New Beetle.
My mum has a beetle witth the same type of paint job but instead of a red its grey and i quite like it. Its a beast, lowerd with nice 15 spoke audi wheels. Its quite quick aswell
the jack and edwin and ethan trio is honestly even better than the one with alex was. it’s more low-key humour instead of the super over the top vibe alex had. well done ❤
