    The price is a bit much. Still looks good I would have liked to see a billet aluminum air diffuser at this price point. Looks like grimspeed intake with a carbon cobb box TBH not a bad thing.

    Once installed, how accessible is the MAF sensor for maintenance/replacement purposes? Does the top segment just pop right off for easy access to the tubing/MAF?

      Hey there! First recommendation is to ensure you're using the correct map. If the Redline Intake is your only power modification, you will need to use our "Stage1+Redline" OTS map. Beyond that, reach out to our Customer Service Team at 1-866-922-3059 or support@cobbtuning.com and we'll help get to the bottom of it!

    So you don’t replace the stock pipe like the SF? And the SF1+ tune is recommended for it??

    • @pumpkinspicelatte1731
      @pumpkinspicelatte1731 2 года назад

      This is my issue because the big SF has the whole intake pipe replaced with a 3inch diameter pipe, the Redline just keeps the stock intake piping and replaces the elbow and box thats it? At least thats what it looks like...Im trying to figure out why they wouldn't have used the Big SF pipe, shortened it if necessary, made the Maf housing integrated into the intake pipe and then just had the carbon fiber box. The way it was designed doesn't make sense to me, and it makes me believe also youd get more out of a design with the SF pipe and the Redline box.

    • @ohjeep76
      @ohjeep76 2 года назад +1

      You don’t re use any stock piping for this intake. There is a 90 that attaches to the bottom of the intake that runs straight to the turbo. I had nothing but problems with the big sf with afr, and the motor would misfire and even stall sometimes. Re adjust filter to the 1” mark that Cobb stated in the instructions, and problems would come back after awhile. The tabs inside the maf housing on the redline eliminated those problems for me. Definitely more power all the way through the rev range with redline vs the big sf which felt less than stock until the rpm’s got higher. Only downside is that turbo noise isn’t as loud with the redline. Also it’s a different tune than the big sf

    I think you need a pro tune for this intake, the OTS tune only worked for a week then it threw the classic P0171 code, I tried reinstalling it and still the same thing.

    • @cobbtuning
      @cobbtuning  Год назад

      Do you have any other modifications done to the car? The combo of this intake with our supporting +Redline OTS files should be pretty solid. It may be worth double-checking the rest of the system for minor air leaks.

      @@cobbtuning I only have a catback, So I ended up changing my spark plugs and both o2 sensors and nothing still check engine light, so I re-installed my stock air box because my “dam” dropped to .688 and the car was stalling and driving really bad, since then the check engine light hasn’t came back and my “dam” went back to 1.000 I’m not sure but most people in the forums say OTS tunes are not reliable. So now I have 800$ intake I don’t use lol

    I'm super interested in this, but how is it CARB legal? All intakes for WRX's require a tune, but to actually pass smog in CA, all cars are required to have stock tune for smog. So how can this being CARB legal be true?

      The intake and supporting calibrations are both covered under their respective CARB EO. You can find more info on the EO links on our product page.
