After switching from stock intake to the Cobb redline is a huge difference in sound.
After install the car wasnt too happy with it being in. It didnt want to start and took a minute to start. Once started the car held a high rpm idle and slowly came back down to a little lower than original idle.
The throttle response was also not as instant as it was before install.
I drive an 18 STi. It definitely needs a tune from an accessport for this install.
It sounds amazing and i love how it reaponds when it is actually on the highway.
With that said it did have a hiccup while on the highway.
    Definitely needs a tune.
It did make the car feel more a live.

Hard to say since every car is different. But if I were to guess, I would say probably around 300-310hp and 290-300tq to the wheel. Maybe a little more. Maybe a little less, but I would say around there is what you should expect.

More and more I am starting to lean towards just buying this new intake but I just don't have the funds for it currently but I might consider getting it later on.

I haven’t tried it with the end cap on, so I can’t comment. However, Cobb claims it removed the intake sound completely. You won’t have an issue with hydro locking. Unless your car is in a lake with water over the hood, you won’t have to worry about that.
