but it still had issues. yup i thought so. who would have thought a plastic gun would be garbage? at least Glocks have metal slides. just throw it in the trash where it belongs
Blast deflector is what you call that thing. Nice that you did 1K rounds before even cleaning it. I disassembled and cleaned mine fully before putting a few hundred rounds through it. Ate everything I had handy to test with -- 115, 124, 147, Hornady Critical Duty, lead reloads -- everything. I lightened up the safety by chamfering and polishing the detents and detent pin, plus I took about a coil off the detent pin spring. Fully reliable and easy to use. Also polished up the hammer and sear, although that had minimal effect on the chunky and coarse trigger. Still, the piece works well enough that I can group pretty small prints out as far as I could see before my eye surgery. I'm looking forward to grouping it again now that I can see better. Holosun 512C, Thrunite TW10. Had a cheapie laser on there, but it wasn't reliable enough to keep. Excellent PDW. My only gripe is that the .45 ACP version wasn't available at the time I got mine, so I had to settle for wussy 9mm Parabellum. That's okay. I got this thing mainly for women to shoot anyway.
Looking forward to your report of the build with Farrow Tech upgrade of the buffer tube on your EP-9. Does it really make a big difference when rounds are going down range?
Excellent review. I think the brace is the weak point of this excellent pistol. Thanks for covering this aspect in detail. Look forward to the next vid.
Appreciate this informative review. Only two possible deal breakers for us. My wife is a good shot, but with the onset of arthritis, has difficulty racking the slide of 9mm semi automatics. Recoil has also become a problem. Any seniors here with some real time experience? Is the EP9 a soft shooter? The charging handle manageable? It would be a great home defense firearm with its reliability and ease of maintenance. I welcome your feedback. Thank you.
Got one and it works great except for they lied about the barrel thread. It is 1/2"- 20 not 1/2"-28. It's kind of short to try to cut it off and rethread it.
@@nicknemeth3929 Extar sells an adapter that lets it take milspec braces and stocks. And has for a while now. Get that and the sba3 brace. It'll be a lot more comfortable and easy to use than a blade.

plastic guns🤢🤮
@@Kawmbat_VeteranI understand the revulsion but you got to admit they have come on a HUGE amount. They now represent good bang for your buck.
@@Kawmbat_Veteranyou must be new
Of course the recoil is light with 9mm
Ive had mine for some years now and its worked great with very few issues. Great buy for plinking and having fun.

I see what you’re saying. That’s why I only use it for plinking. It’s worked well and it’s fun so I’ll keep it for a while.
@@Kawmbat_VeteranWtf bro, “very few issues” = garbage gun? By that logic almost every gun out there is garbage
Gen 1 pistol configuration with about 3.5k rounds through it. No malfunctions yet. Haven’t cleaned it much either and it still runs. Great pistol

subscribed off the 4:48 section, loved some realism coming thru on a professional channel
Yep, I missed it in editing, and once it was up, it's up. I appreciate you checking out the channel.
I agree I really don’t like when videos are cut a thousand times. Keep some in bc none of us are perfect.
Great review of a great gun. I've had 2 of the gen 1's with no issues and I have a Gen 2 coming this week.
Would a tri-lug extend it far enough beyond the rail to add a suppressor?
I am not sure if you ran a slim supressor it shouldn't be an issues.
Could u put an sb mini or tailhook mod 1 brace on the back of it?
I found that that make a model with the sba 3 already installed! What suppressor fits these tho ?
I’ve heard Rugged Obsidian works well. I ordered one so hope it does. Got some time till I know lol

best bag gun ever----i have had both extar556 and ep9---gen 1 but upgraded to gen 2 with metal parts and upgraded brace
It is one of our range favorites!
Dose it come with the brace? Do I need any specific paperwork other than the normal FFL forms to own one?
It does come with the brace. You do not need special paperwork because with the brace, it's a pistol.

@davidmatz4755 it is a soft shooter and easy to rack. Lauren has grip strength issues and it's one of her favorites.

Is there a way of putting a folding brace?
You can buy a kit for an adjustable one but not folding that I know of

They are legal in PA. The brace on the back is a pistol brace. It counts as a pistol.
