Jimmy basically exists on word of mouth advertising from previous customers. He doesn't spend money on advertising to get his name out there. Thanks for taking a look at the Trans Am, we appreciate it!
@@RamblinAround My mother bought a Berlinetta in 1979 brand new off of the showroom floor and on the way home to Semmes, Alabama about 10 miles from the dealership, it started smoking out of the tailpipe! Well, she was upset, called the dealership back and decided on a brand new red Pontiac Firebird. 5 miles on it! She loved that car❗ I was 13 at the time and I remember her coming home(late) with the radio blasting❗lol. Hope you didn't mind my too long of a reply.
Nice car. In Jan 1979, I was 22 years old, and I bought a new black on black 400, WS6 Trans Am. I had ordered a Z28 Camaro, and I waited almost four months, and it never arrived. So the sales guy told me they had a Firebird that was four speed with the T-top, which is what I had ordered on the Z28. I saw it, I drove it, and bought it, not knowing I got one of the last 400 Pontiac engines. I still have it. I recently got it restored and it looks like it did when I bought it one month shy of 42 years ago. Plan to keep it and eventually pass it on to my son.
This Trans Am is one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen! What a credit to Area 52 on a jaw-dropping restoration! I could stare at it all day. Wow...
I bought a new 1979 back in the day, Always love the car got rear ended in 1981 and totaled my baby. Your 79 is one of the most gorgeous Trans Am I have ever seen, You guys did a amazing job on it. Enjoy it, thanks for sharing.....
We had a period where these cars really weren't appreciated and I saw a lot of them falling on the wayside. It's good to see that some have survived. The original Camero/Trans Ams of that period had problems from the factory. A good restoration of one really makes it better than when if was original.
@Evmcevil He may intend on putting the A/C on at some point, I'm not sure. I know I've gotten to where I hate living without it. Thanks for checking it out!
I used to own a '79 Firebird Esprit Redbird... it only had a wimpy little 301, but it was a real head turner. I miss that car. I should never have gotten rid of it. This car, right here, is my dream car.
@The1BadBird I apologize for the wait. Sometimes it's hard for people's schedules to match up. It really did turn out nice though. Thanks for watching!
@peteq1972 Nothing wrong with a 68 Camaro ...you can get quite a bit of power out of that 327 too. I've always liked the front end styling of the 77 Trans Am myself. Thanks for watching!
pontiac never make it that nice , thumbs up. this deserve an award good work ! its a good thing to keep it original look , the bird need to be there otherwise it look like a plain firebird with air scoop ,these car been my dream car since i was 5 years old , ,, still today " at 38 i just cant get sick off it ,,, this one is a reel beaty !!!
Back in 1980 I purchased a gold on gold t/a I always wanted to do the candy apple over the top but never did. That looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing this beauty.
That gold bird and decals look damn good against that Candy paint color. My 79 is Atlantis blue and was special ordered with the gold bird and decals ( most have light blue birds) love the 79's. Great handling cars. Want attention drive a Trans am !👍
Stunning example ,the colour really suits the car. Im in the UK , in 1983 my Dad bought a 1980 Trans Am Special Edition in Black with tan interior. Its still on the road with a 6.6 - it came fitted with a 4.9.
This car is a stunner. Love how they integrated all the gold pinstriping from a black SE on to this red car. Looks really great. It's giving me some ideas.... ;-)
I dunno... I had a 1979 Firebird with the exact same radio and it did NOT sound good. Then again, with a showroom quality automobile like this you might not be putting a lot of miles on it & it's all about looks
Nice car, love the outside. Had a 80 with the Recaro option done in dove grey and burgundy, Always wanted to paint in Brandy-wine with crushed diamonds added to the paint. Saw a C3 Vette painted that way, when the sun hit by the sun it would leave you speechless. Treasure it man it is a Beauty.
I have a red 1979 firebird is a base model that I am restoring I put a brand new chevy 350 in it try my best to restore this thing back to how this one looks. This is a beautiful firebird man. What an inspiration
@pearsonba350 It really does look amazing out in the sunlight. The camera doesn't really do justice to how nice it really is. Thanks for checking it out. I look forward to seeing how your Olds turns out.
@gene978 Stock, they were over 350 Hp and 480 Lb ft of torque, so it's somewhere north of that. They could easily pick up some more power with an aggressive cam, but they kept it more mild and reliable.
i love this car, it just screams 70's, from the bird on the hood, to the crazy paint, to the T-tops, to the split exhaust, to the taillights, to the snowflake rims... soooo sexy
Once you've owned one or driven one you are hooked for as long as you live...the Trans Am is one of Baddest Boys on the road....it is so much fun and thrilling to drive.

@BigKleib34 Four speeds do make it more fun, but some people just like to cruise. Thanks for checking it out!
Wow. I hope my Olds turns out half as nice! That color really pops on the computer screen, I can only imagine what it looks like in person!
Thanks for taking a look!

@2LateIWon It really did turn out nice. Thanks for following along with the build.
Probably the best restored T/A I have seen. Looks just like it would have back in 79 on the dealer showroom floor.
