I've been frog fishing ever since dean rojas put out the first Spro Bronzeye frogs and these tips travis is giving you is spot on how you want to fish them, I walk the frog alot once I find the bass and use what people from Oklahoma call is Gliding the frog " Tip #1" as a search method, should also add a tip number 4 and teach people how to skip a frog, put ol Kermit where other anglers cant and skip it under docks and overhanging trees where fish hasnt seen a bait in awhile and your blowup rate will go through the roof!!! And a tip number 5 bend your hooks up about an 1/8th of an inch where it grabs your finger as you run it across it's back and your hookup ratio will rise though itll be a little less weedless,Great video travis!!! Love the Camera angles and how you get into the information I give this video a thumbs up, so much better than watching a boring video of some guy talking without confidence
Thanks for info , I’m new to freshwater. Fished saltwater for 50 years. 800 miles to saltwater now so I have to learn all over......set the hook brother n thanks
I just started frog fishing this summer and its becoming one of my favorite ways to fish. I went out yesterday morning and caught a few good ones. I'd prefer to use a different brand of frog tho. I've had better success with the booyah pad crasher.
I've tried topwater frogs in Pennsylvania and Virginia for the past 2 years and have never caught any fish on them. I did get a blow-up from a fish once in PA and today, I actually got my first blowup in Virginia, but the fish didn't get a hold of it unfortunately.
Man, this is my most favorite top water lure to use. I love how hard they smash my frog. A week ago i was getting fish jumping around me within 3-4 ft of the boat i was on. I caught 5 largemouth bass in about 1 hour, could of got more if i set the hook well on all of the bites i got also they're not that big maybe 1-2lbs roughly. In your opinion what is your favorite frog you like to use? I live in the new hampshire so i dont want to use a crazy colored frog since they dont really exist here so i use a normal frog colors green and black maybe a dark green to.
Nice info. O have never fished with frog before... BUT,,, Wondering,,, at about 6:10 I see there is a LADDER on your boat... Whats it for.. In case you fall in so you get back on your boat or what?
I get questions non-stop about that. Unfortunately the answer isn't all that cool. It's just to mount a camera on the top to give a better angle at the areas that I am and fishing hopefully making it a little easier for people to learn the techniques I am teaching. Thanks for the question!
It's got a better hook up ratio. Also if anyone is having problem with hook up ratio, take some pliers and bend the hooks up a lil bit. Ull successfully reel in alot more fish.
There's a wrong way to do anything, especially with a sport that requires dexterity. You may catch fish using one of the "wrong ways," but you may have caught more using a "proven" method. I've stopped "walking the dog" because I looked up how frogs swim and it looks nothing like walking a dog. It looks more like a man doing a breast stroke. If you want them to think it's a frog, mirror the action of a frog in nature. The most success I've had with hook-ups has been with the "nearly 5 seconds approach." Once the bait has disappeared from the surface, I have to remind myself to wait. I count out 3 seconds and pull back hard as I say "four." I've found that I rarely lose a fish with this method. Also, I stopped buying bullshit frogs with bullshit hooks. I ain't rich, but I can afford a couple LiveTarget frogs and some pad crashers. Those baits have hard, strong hooks and are well-crafted by people who care.
@@holy_brailleYoure right... Patience is key im finding out. I was froggin alot here last fall and kept pulling the frog out of the fishes mouth. I watched a guy say you had to exercize patience. When the fish hits it... Dont set the hook... Point your rod tip to the fish reel up the slack quickly and gently and then set the hook. Roughly 4 secs and your hookup rate should go up... Tonight matter of fact i caught a largemouth with a booyah pad crasher jr by being patient. (Mostly couldnt believe something hit it)
The popper is awesome looking and actually fishes pretty damn good. Huge GULP sounds! The fluke rig took a second but I figured out you gotta work it almost like a swimbait or maybe a spinner bait. The plastics I haven't used yet cause I k ow they're gonna be money and for some reason I didn't get a name for the plastic type or I'm sorry the type of plastic, creature, worm, crawl ect. So I can't order more when I use them up. So they are like gold dollars to me.
Some of the best frog fishing is in or on top of thick cover. When you get a fish to bite in this kind of cover you need some heavy line to pull the fish out.
“And if you call now we will throw in an additional frog for the price of one. All you have to pay is the delivery charge. That’s two frogs for 9,99,99. 1-800-poundfrog. Call now. “
thanks for the feedback. I film and edit these videos on my own and am always looking for suggestions. What is the guidelines on switching camera angles?
I had to watch it again just to refresh my memory lol. And I'm not tryna trash you, you have this job and I don't so that says a lot already. What I was mentioning were the moments you turn to the camera then switch the camera angle. It was a little disorienting because you don't really follow the 180 line rule. When you want to switch camera angles you always want to be a switch from 30 degrees from the left or right. Imagine you being the 180 line, the camera in front of you the 90 mark, and create a 30 to the left or right mark between you and the line you create. (kinda hard to explain without a diagram I know) but definitely look up the 30-degree rule (or 45-degree rule). One last thing, you don't have to turn too often, well get the message if you ad B role (which you did really well when you say "gunk on the surface"). And if you follow the 30-degree rule if you still look at the first camera, a side profile of you talking to camera 1 will look aesthetically better more than you turning to a camera to talk to it. Hope this helps and tight lines! :)
Ricardo, thanks for info! One of the reasons I have been able to do this for a living is that I am always trying to improve on the videos. I appreciate the constructive criticism and will be looking into the 30-45 degree rule.
Great point. Literally leaving tomorrow to film a frog video over the weekend and will make sure to include a section talking about it. Thanks for the input!
Lots of explosive bites but missing all of the hook sets. Either too fast and the fish doesn’t have it good or too slow and the fish spits out the bait. Practice makes perfect I guess, as long as they keep destroying it I’ll get it eventually.
Man I wish I could afford to get the LTB. One of these days I will get the LTB and a good fishing pole and reel. The only good pole I have is a spinning ugly stick from Walmart I got cheap at a yard sale. Why is their a ladder in the back of the boat?
Good Ol Boy #76 Hey man check out my RUclips and Instagram pages, I give away an LTB box every month and offer a $5 off savings code so you can score a box for only $10!
They also have a really nice baitcaster its the abu garcia black max combo for $50. I think right now my walmart has them on sale for $32 and trust me it is a nice reel and pol combo for the money..i love it
If you are asking that question from watching a video I'm in you are definitely misreading things. I'm as far from "gangsta" as they come. "When did fishing become cheesy?" could be a more accurate question! Thanks for watching.
Dude after one day and NO FISH, the frog was done. It was almost like it was too weak. It took on water immediately. It would not seal. It sucks cause the first day it was awesome. The Ozark trail is stronger than this frog but this isn't on LTB it's on the California company.
Dead, nobody told me! I'm on the road trying to put some banger vids together as we speak! #noseriouslyamIstillgettingpaid?! Haha just messing around, thanks for watching!
I really don't know how you guys don't have more views. No extra ads, good production value, GREAT information. Keep killling it
I appreciate the support!
This entire video is an ad.

The Delta frog has been killing it for me since June's box! Love it guys!
Awesome, thanks Chris!
Nice!!
Nothing beats topwater frog fishing in the summer....pure adrenaline!!
Thanks Travis frog fishing is for real fun I Love it I hope everybody takes your advice if not they are missing out big time
Appreciate the comment! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for info , I’m new to freshwater. Fished saltwater for 50 years. 800 miles to saltwater now so I have to learn all over......set the hook brother n thanks
Welcome to the freshwater side! Bass fishing is a great world!
I have been killing it all year in Arizona! These bass love that candy! Skipping into heavy cover and Lillie’s! 🔥🔥🐸🤘🏻🐸
I have had some great frog fishing on those desert lakes!
Great explaination Travis!
Thanks 🤘🎣🔥
Great vidja, I've been messing with a popping frog all summer and it has not produced anything, gonna need to pick me up one of these styles of frogs
The more you use them the more confidence you will get. Good luck!
Excellent video. I'm just starting to throw a frog. I'll gonna try these tips next time I go to the water.
Thanks for watching and good luck!
Frog is sick. The eyes I have to say are probably top 10 on the market. Also thanks for fixing the mistake LTB! I'll be ordering august
Happy it got figured out!
I just started frog fishing this summer and its becoming one of my favorite ways to fish. I went out yesterday morning and caught a few good ones. I'd prefer to use a different brand of frog tho. I've had better success with the booyah pad crasher.
Awesome vid! I'm diggin it
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips, i went out this morning trying to pop frogs but I still haven’t been successful.
It will happen, just stay positive. Good luck!
Travis Moran I haven't tried the hollow belly frog until a few days ago. I tried to walk the dog, but it didn't work so well. Any tips?
Travis can you get a closeup of the frog during these techniques? Would make it easier for us to make sure we are correctly applying the techniques.
I've tried topwater frogs in Pennsylvania and Virginia for the past 2 years and have never caught any fish on them. I did get a blow-up from a fish once in PA and today, I actually got my first blowup in Virginia, but the fish didn't get a hold of it unfortunately.
Tip #1: Throw frog away
Tip #2: buy whopper plopper
My favorite ways to catch toads! Love the blow up sounds, my favorite frog is the Sprinker Frog. Big Bass on dis lure right here
Man, this is my most favorite top water lure to use. I love how hard they smash my frog. A week ago i was getting fish jumping around me within 3-4 ft of the boat i was on. My favorite 3 colors are White, Black, and then a natural dark green. Happy to hear you are having some froggy fun! Thanks for watching!
Pinto lake baby!!! Good stuff Travis! Yooo budddyyyy!
great little lake!

Fishing frogs is super easy and extremely exciting. I honestly don’t think there’s a wrong way to retrieve. The biggest issue I have is hook up ratio
TheAwesomeAustin yes
It can lead to some huge bass! Thanks for the comment.
I had one guy give advice on bending the hooks out just a bit, he says it helps but I havnt tried it yet. TheAwesomeAustin

Any tips on fishing frog in Lillie’s or should I not fish frog in lillies
I have 15 pound line now my question is would I be able to catch nice sized bass with that??
Can you give us some video of lure retrieval
Filming another frog video this weekend and I will make sure to go into a little more detail about retrieval on this one. Thanks for the input!
Where is this place located at and is this place good for bank fishing also
Almost caught a frog using a top water frog but no fish yet. Still gonna try til I get one!
The more you do it the more confidence you will get. Good luck!
Does it work in a canal .
Will they get action in 65ish water temp
Yes then your bass should be up shallow
Thx for the tips
thanks for watching!
By far my favorite bait is a weedless frog.....in the forty years of using them I think I’ve only lost 2
Great info👍
30-50lb line?! That seems a little extreme for freshwater bass.
Some of the best frog fishing is in or on top of thick cover. When you get a fish to bite in this kind of cover you need some heavy line to pull the fish out.
Travis Moran I suppose. I use it in thick cover on 8lb line though and haven't ever had a problem once the hook is set.
Great video
Caught my first Frog Fish yesterday 🤩
Was waiting for a camera edit/ smash cut where he just look directly up at the sky.
“And if you call now we will throw in an additional frog for the price of one. All you have to pay is the delivery charge. That’s two frogs for 9,99,99. 1-800-poundfrog. Call now. “
Thank you,🙏🙏
I can’t catch a cold on a frog. I need to try it more often🎣
hahaha it's one of those things that once you start getting some bites on them that you start getting some confidence.
Camera angle changes are a little much.
thanks for the feedback. trying to keep things entertaining.
What is the ladder for on the boat?
I put a camera on it to get a better view of what I'm fishing.
I want mega bass NOW!
Good luck!
How do you skip a frog with a baitcaster ?
I love me some frogs!!!
So do I!!
Got the same frog in my LTB and it seems to just take on water and sink 😥
That shouldn't happen Christopher! If you contact support@luckytacklebox.com we will get this straightened out for you.
Ive caught many'a frog, with the frog.
It's crazy that frogs will eat other frogs.
TRAVIS, my frog rod flew out of the boat going up I 5 and I am waiting for my surface stix to arrive....
Bummer. I saw you purchased a Surface Stik. You are going to like it and it looks like they will be shipped out first thing next week.
just in time to get after them with the frog, looking forward to that stix
awesome information but, I went to school for filmmaking and these camera changes, in the beginning, are very unprofessional lol

Caught a 4 pounder this morning on the good old frog
great video, but man, less coffee for you!
Probably should spend some time talking about the hook set with a frog...it’s different than just about anything else you can fish with.
Great point. Literally leaving tomorrow to film a frog video over the weekend and will make sure to include a section talking about it. Thanks for the input!
I've caught 6 bass and a snake on my frog.
Nice!
great to hear!
Lots of explosive bites but missing all of the hook sets. Either too fast and the fish doesn’t have it good or too slow and the fish spits out the bait. Practice makes perfect I guess, as long as they keep destroying it I’ll get it eventually.
Travis has started his own channel if you want to keep learning from him:ruclips.net/channel/UCd0u3RDe3O-G7eIDxGy99Pw

wink wink... next time someone ask that tell them it for when you accidentally hook onto that flying fish.... lol
I've never caught anything on a top water frog.......hopefully that changes soon......
Keep trying and it will happen. Good luck man!
Will do brother. Keep the videos coming.
When did fishing become gangsta?
If you are asking that question from watching a video I'm in you are definitely misreading things. I'm as far from "gangsta" as they come. "When did fishing become cheesy?" could be a more accurate question! Thanks for watching.
3:30 "HEGHHHH"
The amount of times this was called a “hollow belly frog” instead of a “hollow body frog” probably gave me cancer
Same thing
I caught a 20 pound bass on a frog
Here b4 💯 liked
thanks for watching!
U have lots of tips, but u got nothing! supper fun

I prefer tacticalbassin...
Man sit still you lost me at the beginning of the video .

Hey man can you donate that boat to me bro. I want to fish on my home town lake so bad.
Haha sorry man I have had that boat for over 10 years and don't plan on getting rid of her anytime soon.
oh what? i though this channel is dead.
Not dead, still alive! Coming out with some awesome content VERY SOON!
Dead, nobody told me! I'm on the road trying to put some banger vids together as we speak! #noseriouslyamIstillgettingpaid?! Haha just messing around, thanks for watching!
Talking is louder than your action.
Ltb sucks I can't even renew it takes me to try an reset my password y'all just want money
Videos without caught fish is worthless.
Haha I will tell the fish to bite next time.
There actually was fish caught....
All these tips...dude didn't catch nothing..lol...good tips though
You didn’t catch anything my dude
Y'all are scams!
Stopped watching at forty seconds... Stop with the damned camera switching.
