- Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band preforming "Thunder Road" and "Born To Run" at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri on February 18, 2023.
I simply cannot express how much Bruce means to me. The last, nearly fifty years, we’ve grown up at almost the same age and I have seen him live dozens of times in the UK. But never as close as you sir who took this great video of probably two of the best songs ever written! Thank you for posting it.
I was lucky to meet Nils Lofgren, in the 80s when I was working at the BBC but I never met Bruce. But what I would say? I think I will probably just say “thank you" And be a total fanboy (and probably burst into tears!) I have known people who have met Bruce and they say he is just a brilliant, sweet, genuine man and just what you expect from his stage performances and all his interviews.
And a quick shout out to the RUclips algorithm for putting this at the top of my feed when I had a quick look online - it made my Christmas morning.
This is a wonderful comment, and its positivity is perfect for the holiday. Thank you for all that you have said here, and I hope that you get to see Bruce and the band again in 2024.
I was a 15-16 year old snot nose kid working in a record store in 1975. I didn't know anything about Bruce until I heard New York Serenade and Rosalita. After that there was no turning back. Born to Run just exploded on the scene and the world was never the same for me. That record completely eclipsed my life and it's immensity in scope and grandeur still blows me away today, 45+ years later. Bruce and the band are without peer.
Think I was back in Newark, NJ from college and my 50-ish aunt from Belmar - or ‘Down the Shore’ as we say - came up to see us so excited about this new album, ‘Greetings From Asbury Park.’ Don’t know if was the music or a local boy done good, but it got me hooked. Thank you Aunt Margaret.
Springsteen has given the world countless classics that will live forever....Some of the most important moments of my life had Bruce's music as a soundtrack....
my daughter and future son in law took me to this concert. an amazing experience. Love the boss. great video!
My high school years, more importantly, my youth. The soundtrack of my younger self 🥺☹️😳😵💫🤬🥶😱💀! Oh how I miss those carefree days. Being a Jersey shore girl, born and raised., Bruce was most loved ❤!
Greatest of all time. Thank you to my father in law in England who got me listening to Bruce. Having grown in the Bronx NY I was never exposed to Bruce. It took a great man from the South of England to get me to listen to and appreciate this american legend, this american jewel to the world.
Poetry some of the greatest lyrics ever written.
Born in the USA greatest lyrics 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well, I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk!!
We were there and Bruce never disappoints! Love the Boss. We had 3 young women in their late teens and early twenties in front of us, who were having a blast! They knew the words to all his songs and I was impressed. ❤️
A rocknroll man with a vision...not afraid to be himself .. Hero. ❤
.
No Hero trouble maker
@@mister8116 He never said he was a hero. He’s just a man. Oh a great man who has for over 50 years provided wonderful music and by far and away the greatest live shows consistently. No one can get near him and the E Street Band for longevity and sheer class. Long may he and the band keep going cause you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.
Thank you! My kids and I were there in the crowd behind Bruce in your video. My 12th time since 1981 and the first time with all 3 of my kids to enjoy the moment together. Cannot tell you how much this moment meant to me. Love you Bruce!
That is so wonderful that you were able to see the show with all of your kids, and I'm so glad that you see yourself in the video as well. What a memorable night that was!
My 1st Springsteen concert was 9/28/75 at Liberty Memorial. I've seen him several times since which includes this wonderful night. My fellow Springsteen fans & Kansas Citizens, we witnessed a incredible night & we sounded great. Thank you for this video.
I think back to when I heard him play at McGraw hall in Evanston,Il back in 78 (I think) after winning tickets on radio station. Had never heard of the guy and I think the hall was half full with a capacity of maybe 500. By the 3rd song I predicted this guy will be selling out football stadiums one day. About the only time any of my predictions proved correct in my life 😅
Watching this clip in Bristol, Engand with a tear in my eye - what a pure, natural talent - wish I'd been there
Bruce is simply The Boss🙂
Bruce grazie per i doni che ci hai regalato con la tua voce e la tua musica. Ti voglio tanto bene fantastico artista❤
This is amazing! I wasn't even looking for this and "Hey Bruce" ! Thank you so much for sharing this, this is so cool to see and hear. This is when we would stand in line at local record store to buy concert tickets.
Sad I’m going to miss him this time around. He’s looking old but still rockin hard as ever
Bravo Bruce ☺️💐💖👏👏👏🌟siempre es lo mejor ,tu música!!!!🎉🎊🌌
Amazing.....
My friend Krista and I were there! He never disappoints! BRUCE!!!
Still the BEST!!!!❤
Those two songs capture coming of age better than any one song written. I go right back to 17 every time I hear them.
I para toda su banda,de músicos 🎉Felicidades❤ música en directo es fabuloso💐🌟
I was there. Fantastic night😍
I was there. It was epic!
Great video. Thanks for sharing 👍
You're very welcome!
the old man can still rock the house!
Love Bruce Always ❤️
Tiene una fuerza increíble para contagiar con su música alegría y vitalidad!!!!
Thank you for posting !!!!
You’re very welcome! Thank you for thanking me! (I realize this can go on forever, but I wanted to acknowledge your graciousness!)
Thunder Road... song of hope
You captured the band and the crowd perfectly thank you!
Just trying to do my little part, on behalf of the citizens of the world, to pay you back, one little video at a time, for the the awesomeness that is #BeastieBoss
wish I had been there, especial Eddie and the brass doing their bits x
Wow!!!! They're in their 60's and 70's, and still awesome! (Not as frantic and youthful as the NoNukes concert -uber awesome!) And, if I could afford a ticket, it would be great to see the E Street again, live!!
The ticket prices are obscene. A shameless money grab.
A fan since the WMMS/Allen Theater days, but us old men singing the songs of young adventure has a tinge of sadness to it
Wow
ANYWHERE 🎵🎼🎶🎸🎉🙏😎🌃
😘😘😘😘😘Szuper!!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯
Silvio, you can’t hide forever!!!!
great
C ,we miss you c😓
Steven looking pretty svelte.
Steve, get the Boss some cool clothes!
Still swinging his axe, legend
❤🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Not long till he's in Bonnie Scotland 🏴🎵🎶🎸🎼🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
I was there last night, and the camera definitely doesn't pick up how loud the show actually was last night. Not a criticism mind you, just sharing my own experience.
Would have loved to share it with you
We were there behind the stage. FANTASTIC show but it took 5 days for my ears to recover
I wanted to be there so bad . . .
The BOSS!!!! Who's the sax player? What happened to the new kid ( well not so new any more) , Clarence's nephew?
That's Ed Manion, who's part of the horn section on this tour. Jake Clemons was out with Covid, but he's back now.
@@csilver522 Thank you..I was concerned!
Crowds in KC can sometimes be a little too chill; not at this show. The audience rocked.
want to see chill crowds come to Canada.
RIP Danny Federici.
What do you think Silvio Dante would think of Little Steven's outfit?
Kunne i da bare nå vores lille by, ville være himmelsk
Was Jake not there that night?
He was not, he was out with Covid
Jake Jarmel on the horn??
Covid has been running through the e street band so I’m guessing it was just for that show
Hot and heavy 😂
@@Yoursistersazz I’ve seen those glasses before…
Get Bruce a change of clothes, looks like the school janitor.
Was Jake at this show?
He was not. He was out with Covid.
スゲースゲースゲー
No Jake Clemons for this one?
No, he was out with Covid
@@csilver522 that really
Sucks, Jake brings a presence and a showmanship to his performance not easily duplicated by others. He’s truly been outstanding stepping into Clarence’s shoes.
Where's Jake?
He was out with Covid
What’s up with baggy pants? Dockers?
Seen Springsteen 100 times dating back to 1978 and will see him in Philly/Penn State/Brooklyn in a few weeks......with the exception of a handful of songs, I am not a fan of the horns at all. Songs like Thunder Road, Born To Run, and Glory Days were not meant to be played with a full horn section, sorry, it makes them sound corny
Frank, I 1000% disagree. I have always loved the horns in all Bruce's songs. It sure looks like the crowd in KC did to 😏
I have only seen him a handful of times dating back to the 80’s, and my preference is a stripped down band with one horn, which was Clarence, then Jake. It gives it enough pop in a song without sounding orchestral
Yeah. The horns. No go.
Agreed!!! Only the big man on sax!!!! No horn section
You obviously don't understand the
meaning of The E Street Band .
Old timer has a belly now
Who is playing sax? Not to be mean, but they sound really amateur. And I am pretty sure he missed his queue at first in Born to Run.
That's Ed Manion. He's been playing professionally with Bruce and others for decades.
Yep, he ain’t that young anymore…and those pants are too tight.
Yikes. Time to call it a day, Bruce.
No energy in that crowd
You can see him yelling ` born to run` to the band at the 5:54 mark...The Boss!!
