It doesn't make the loss of the Big Man (or Danny F) anhy easier to take, but nephew Jake Clemons seems to be channeling his uncle in his onstage interactions with Bruce. So glad I got to see him on this latest tour (thanks to my son, who took me for my birthday present). Sadly, I think there won't be any more long tours in the Boss' future.

My stepdad is Irish Catholic from Philly. And he tells me with all seriousness, that "this is no less 'church." This is as much of a revival as anything a Pentecostal tent preacher does. Bruce Springsteen has more soul than most singers today have. He took it to church. Watching it, I imagine how hard it must have been for him to lose the Big Man. They genuinely loved each other. God Bless Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Through my good decisions in life, as well as my bad decisions, there has been one constant. The music of Springsteen. His stories and lyrics either got me through my dark days, or they helped me appreciate the good days. They helped me realise when I was on top of the world, and also helped me realise when I was at my weakest. There’s an old saying that goes “when you’re on top of the world you hear the music, but when you’re at rock bottom you understand the lyrics”. Bruce has been there for both.
