Nick Lowe tells the story that he was desperate to write his first song but every time he did so he'd play it and realise that he'd just re-written a Dylan one or a Lennon one or whatever.
Then one day he came up with this and it slowly dawned on him that he couldn't remember who originally did it and realised that he'd acheived his aim. Yes this was his first.

One of my favorite Elvis tunes. Nick Lowe wrote it,Costello made it a classic. 1978.Canada just had the federal election last week, we voted against a Donald Trump wanna B, Erin"Boy" O'Toole. Four more years of Trudeaumania.

People bashing this, come on music is about what you feel, the feeling it gives you. My favorite is Chris Cornell, but they didn't fuck this song up. they did great. If this isn't your style thats ok go find another artist who covered it and feel their version. ✌💚
