I’ve just picked up a reconditioned janome and was so grateful for your video 😊clear concise instructions, great close ups, you made it so much easier for me! Many thanks
I don't normally comment on RUclips, but really needed you to know this was the only tutorial that has made me fully understand how to thread a sewing machine. Total beginner here so well done and Thank you 🙄😘
..thank you so much. I'm 75 years old and recovered well from a stroke last year but some memory gaps. I hadn't used the machine for quite a while but when I took it out to use...it was like seeing it for the first time....had a hard time understanding the manual instructions....but this RUclips has made all the difference. THANK YOU.
This is a great video! It's nice to see close ups so I can actually see where I'm supposed to put stuff lol. My mum recently told me she has a sewing machine hidden away in the spare room and I've always wanted to sew lol
OMG THANK YOU sooo much! I've just got my mum's Janome machine out and she's lost the manual, couldn't find it anywhere and spent the past hour or so trying to figure out how to get the bottom thread up. Finally thanks to your video I've managed it! Lifesaver!!
Oh....I love that!! Thankyou so much fir taking the time to give the feedback X We also have a playlist full of beginner sewing tutorials. Have fun. Tree
I can't believe how clearly you've explained it. I used to be scared of my sewing machine and I just couldn't even thread a bobbin. Tonight I said to myself I need to try one more time and I came across your video. Thank you so much for this perfect demonstration!!!
Thank you. I recently inherited a Janome sx2122 and absolutely dreaded the distasteful task of working through the manual. You do a terrific job of simplifying the most essential steps. Working with this machine no longer feels daunting. Frustration, be gone!
Can't thank you enough for this having spent a week reading through manuals and getting pretty frustrated by failing to get it right and after watching your tutorial done in minutes.
Thank you! It's so helpful to actually see it done! I'm a complete novice, but was given a Janome machine a couple of years ago and received a demonstration initially (but could never remember exactly). Now I can watch this video as many times as it takes for my poor little brain to memorize the process!
I just received my Janome MOD-50. I have tried sewing in the past and I get frustrated and just give up trying. I have learned more from this video then with any other tutorial. Thank you so much..
Oh....really...that's such great news!!! Welcome back to sewing....and if you want some easier sewing tutorials look at our Playlist for Beginners *although I know you are not officially that. Have fun. X
Hey thank you very much for your clear explanation and closeups. I was struggling to get the bobbin thread right but was not able to do it. I watched several videos, but by watching your video I was able to do it.
I’m so torn between 725 and 423 and I wish I could get some good advice. Some folk say top loader is more reliable and others say side loader gives better stitching…. Help?! Also I think I want sturdy so is 423 better because of full metal body? I’m used to vertical thread holder. Helpppppppp 😅
Very useful video, and a great reminder of how to thread my 20+ year old Janome. The needle threading tip looks especially useful, can't wait to try that out (my least favourite part of the process). Thanks!
Another absolute beginner here. Never used a sewing machine before. I’ve read the instruction book. Your video made me understand how the sewing machine operates; especially drawing up the bobbin thread. I never knew that the bobbin thread was on one side of the finished product and the top thread was on top. Seems silly saying it but I never thought about it. Also you’re quite funny. Keep it up:)
That's very nice to hear....Thank you. Have fun and here's a playlist full of sewing videos for beginner sewing people ruclips.net/p/PLlhJMC_7RMElqi3OiseIz6O971hxT_MC6
Amazing, thanks so much! I wish there was an easier other way than to have to create a loop to bring the thread from the bobbin up. But your instructions are fantastic! One little problem. My bobbin thread had to go clockwise, not counterclockwise like yours. But once i knew that, it was perfect!!!!! Thanks so much! Anita
🙂🙃🙂 ty ty ... i have used my machine but over the years i have not touched it and when i did... the thread would get all sloppy and bunched up from the bottom so had to go back to beginning and figure it all out... ty so much
I was very very frustrated!! I was especially looking for a video that showed how to use the automatic needle threader! A video with clear close ups would be SO helpful. It’s not cheating at all and I don’t understand why you didn’t show it in the first place. I watched 2 other videos and read the book, but I can’t get the auto threader to work for me. Thanks!,
No it's not cheating to use the needle threader but it can be frustrating, you are right and even with instruction, it can be a bit hit and miss. Putting white paper behind the needle as you thread it, can help. Clearly I should do do one!!

Hello, sorry for the delay....unfortunately you just have to keel persevering. Everyone struggles with this at 1st....Just support the upper thread whilst turning the wheel and only pull up when you see action in the bobbin part. Good luck...you will do it eventually.

This is my first Janome, great video. I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the needle for A/B switch, it's always to the left and I want it center, can you help? TIA!!

Thank you for your reply. I tried that. I am using the blue tip needle. Not the one for knitted fabrics. As the cotton material I am using is thick I thought it would,be ok. I did try with the ordinary needle to start with the other day but it wouldn’t work then either, but will try again.
Hello, I'm sorry....but it's always the bit that people struggle with. You just have to keep watching that bit of the Video and keep practising. You will get it in the end.
@@StitchlessTV the thing is it was working perfectly fine till I changed the needle, I tried unscrewing the thing and the thread is not timing up right with the hook, do you know a way to make it so it times right again?
I can tell you some things to check. Make sure the needle has been put in right way round, with the eye of the needle and the groove own the needle, facing you. Also, make sure oh have really pushed the needle high enough into the shaft, before screwing up tight
hello great video excellent I whish you would kindly film how to operate the sewing machine electric foot pedal how it's used to sew please ok? Please kindly reply back ok?thank you very much

My sewing machine has a horizontal thread holder, but it doesn’t have a stopper. What do I do?
You can use anything as a stopper to you get the real one. How about a bobbin held in place with some bluetak
Any tips my material keeps getting sucked up in that thing while I’m sewing

At the top above that wheel, there is another wheel with numbers and a zig zag stitch line, turn the wheel to number 5. Does that help?
