In 2016 I had been working in croydon for 10 years when someone who had been harassing me for years decided to escalate the situation by threatening to stab me in the neck. I went to croydon police who threatened to put me in a cell for 10 hours while the abuser stood outside croydon police station laughing. We have rumors of a cat killer in our neighborhood (a sunny suburban HOA in California). Sadly I do think killing pets is something serial killers do when they are "between kills" or building up to their first human victim. In our case, people keep arguing back and forth in the ring app forums about whether it is a person or an animal doing it. It was reported that the police are involved and that the cats are being killed in ways that animals just don't do. Also, the attacks stopped over the school's summer break and started again once school resumed.

i'm a little convinced that my cat may of been killed by an individual in 2017 within peckham. near kelly avenue. I can't confirm but I found my cat, around 13 years old. laying in the street outside my house with her tail missing, she wasn't decapitated though, just the tail... I chalked it up to foxes potentially, or her getting hit by a car then something chewing on her tail... however the fact that the body was in fairly good shape overall and just had her whole tail missing made me question heavily if it was really a fox. just the way the injury looked seemed too clean and it's always stuck on my mind since...

I had my black rabbit killed back in 2004. I know who killed him as he latter confessed. He cut its head off, Tail, and paws. He layer it spread egaled on the grass lawn. Slit it down the middle and I believed it looked like there had been internal organs interfered with but I did not see any other organs on the lawn. There was no blood on the ground, so it had not been killed there and had to have been taken to a private area to be drained. I never saw the head, tail or paws. I put the body in a black bin bag to hide it from my children, with an intention to take to the police. When I got back from the school run the body had been removed from the garden. It was a few years later before they guy confessed what he had done. I have never seen him since. He was a vial individual. This happened in Portslade Sussex.

So what can they do?! .. bearing in mind if you are physically abused the police will ask if the person in question has ever or has the ability to harm animals because this is linked to certain mindsets. The fact that someone is doing this is potentially someone practicing before doing it on humans or filling a need that may develop. This could be something much bigger on top of the fact that it is awful as is as no animal should be harmed especially in such horrid ways.

If nothing else, i understood that fox attacks on domestic cats are rare. A cat scratch can easily be a death sentence for a fox. Why go after a potentially spicy cat, when there are much easier things to scavenge in a city. Also foxs arent stupid; why make themselves a target knowing very well cats live in human houses.
Ive seen and enjoyed city foxes in central London, Briz and Manc. Ive seen them playing with neighbours cats and hanging out together at night.
    Lazy explanation x

I'd happily bet a week's wages that if this was someone keying cars, or graffiti~tagging peoples' porches, they'd have been caught years ago! (Assuming we're talking about _'nice'_ neighbourhoods, of course!)
I'm not naïve - without wishing to be crass about it, I'm well aware that the Met. has no shortage of 'real' crimes to take precedence over the killing of cats, especially in a city the size of London. Still, the extremely low priority obviously placed on these vile acts by the police is surely mistaken. To my mind, these crimes ought to have been taken much more seriously just in their own right. Leaving that aside, though, the cat killer is someone obviously given to extreme physical and emotional sadism; this, taken with the fact that as pointed out in the video itself, it is almost drearily routine that serial killers turn out to have a history of animal cruelty surely ought to have made these serial atrocities a matter of some concern to the police! It seems to me merely a matter of time before the cat killer starts taking human lives, if, indeed, they haven't already been doing so! In fact, of the cat killers that _have_ been caught, one actually _was_ a murderer who by his own admission planned to kill, and kill again; one admitted to an intention to commit 7ape, and one was entirely reckless as to whether his crimes might result in the loss of human lives!
Let me say as an Irishman, I wasn't in the least surprised that Brendan Geeghan (spelling?) proved to be Irish. Having lived in both Great Britain and in Ireland, while loving cat owners exist in huge numbers on both islands, I've noticed quite a degree of antipathy towards cats amongst the non~cat owning general public in Ireland that doesn't seem to be there to anything like a similar degree amongst their British counterparts. One constantly hears comments here (in Ireland) along the lines of "Cats are creepy/shifty/sly"... There almost seems to be a superstitious basis for the dislike for cats that one encounters in Ireland. Had that woman caught on a video which went viral a few years back, throwing a cat into a wheelie~bin been Irish, I don't doubt that there would have been as many people defending her as you would have had calling for her (proverbial) hide! I myself had a neighbour kill 3 of my cats, and far from trying to cover up his deeds he blatantly guffawed about them... All that said, it seems to be clear that Geegan (Geoghan?) was 'something else again'.
Two rather depressing points on which to end; given that the cat killer who has yet to be brought to justice is obviously completely comfortable inflicting violence, the more cruel the better, it is to be earnestly hoped that Boudicca and her comrades are "well able to look after themselves", and have taken measures to protect themselves when patrolling... And while I hope that I'm wrong in this, it is quite in the nature of this type of creep that they may have watched this video, and could even have commented. One might almost have hoped that for investigative purposes he even _had_ commented, except that it seems to be the case that he is somewhat forensically aware.
Sorry, I said I was about to close, but I'm just curious on a technical point. At least two references were made to the cat killer operating under the cover of darkness, the streetlights having gone out; I'm not clear, is this thought to have been co~incidence? Is there the suggestion that the cat killer is somehow knocking out the public lighting? Or - and this would be ironic considering the economy of LED streetlighting compared to low or high pressure sodium, or mercury vapour, but I've heard about LED streetlights being powered down in sparsely used thoroughfares in the hours before dawn and at other times when there is little traffic on the roads, like Christmas. It does seem to be the case that this is something that is done on the quieter stretches of our urban motorways and dual~carriageways, here in Ireland. I hadn't supposed that this was a thing on suburban Londan residential streets though... or is it?!

I’m pretty sure there’s a black market for domestic cats and more recently our endangered wildlife, it not difficult to pick up a domestic cat or a hedgehog we all know certain races of people eat cats and have done for years and I’m betting they now have a taste for hedgehogs.
