Leak was good in this game, but he improved so much the season after. Hopefully Mullen can do the same with Trask.
I would say Dan Mullen well exceeded expectations with Kyle Trask.

Neil, you do a great job with these vids and they're very appreciated. The only thing that could make it cooler would be to have Mick Hubert calls for the big plays. Idk if that would be a major pain in the ass or not, but, would be cool.

9:28 RIP Avery Atkins. This was his best game as a Gator. Suffered a drug overdose about two years after this. He was Urban Meyers highest rated recruit his first year in Gainesville. So much potential but struggled with drugs and unintended fatherhood as a 20 year old. He left UF, played a few games at Bethune-Cookman and re-enrolled at Florida then quit again. His death was an unimaginable tragedy for his family. I guess his son is probably in high school now. Pray for Avery’s family.

I refused to work late for my gf during this game(I worked at the restaurant she managed 1 day a week). She was so mad I wouldn't work late, sorry babe, this is the FSU game. I then went and watched it on her big TV in her apartment until she got home. She was all, I hope your team loses. They didn't, lol. Somehow we are still married all these years later.
Great team. Great game. Offense looks fun. Who was the Offensive Coordinator back then? Any team would be lucky have him as a head coach one day.

I never got to see this one. We were driving back from North Carolina and sitting on I-95 north of Jax, in a traffic jam. My friend texts and says, "I bet you're loving this." With him you never knew if he was serious or being a dick. I tried to get the game on in the radio but couldn't. Got home and learned how badly we kicked fsu's ass. 2005: no smart phones at that point.
Two takeaways from this game. 1. The story of Avery Atkins is so damn sad. 2. I had forgotten all about Markus Manson.
Rob, too funny, you have no idea as to how many of my friends can be classified as " Serious or being a Dick". When I worked for the DOJ in the 80's I walked into the staff lounge and my buddy (Bama Freak) asked me how much money we had on the game? I told him "nothing" and he said nothing and the score came up like we beat them by 35. For the next four years, we paid each other back that would be considered historical.

watching this game thinking wow first shut out since 1973 but then Dammit fsu scored at least I can say the Gators have shut out fsu 3 times , 1960 3-0 1963 7-0 & the best one 1973 49-0 year before I was born Can FSU say the same HELL NO
