Spot on. I've a .22 HW100 KS that's 15 years old. It's been worked hard on the farm, had 100's of 1000's of pellets through it, then put in the cabinet charged and forgotten about for 5 years. I wiped it down, dab of silicon on the air cylinder seal and back to 1cm groups at 30m. You cannot go wrong with these guns. In my experience more accurate and less hassle than FX. 'Cutting edge' is interesting isn't it? Half the price, completely reliable, competition standard accuracy, magazines that work, utterly safe... Back in the day, that was 'cutting edge!'
Hi Paul, I really enjoy watching uour reviews. I love how you live and breath what you are describing and talking about. I'm nowhere near the air rifle experience that you have, but for me, Weihrauch, Air Arms, BSA, Daystate are all top, top manufacturers, producing top, top kit at a fair, reasonable price. Their magazines, cocking arms, reloading facilities in general are just fantastic and a joy to use. I'm so glad British firms are involved and highly respected in this field. Best wishes!
Best gun in the world 👍 I have had two both full length S models, always a pleasure to shoot, very accurate and reliable. Sold both of them 😢 one for a centre fire the other for a FX M3 😩 all the bells and whistles like you described but not a patch on the 100s. Sold the M3 and bought the AA S510R 👍 brilliant gun more accurate the the FX and more reliable. That said my gun cabinet is wanting another 100s to look after !! . Good video totally agree with your review. Good stuff
Great video and a great review i too have recently bought a HW100 after wanting one for years, i do shoot fac and have a FXwildcat .22fac but needed a sub12 for some farm indoor pest control, this 177 hw100 is unbelievably accurate i am very impressed, very basic mags and so reliable i love it I am also from rhyl 😅
Just bought one myself, I have to agree with you. The Hw100 is utter engineering genius for a modest price point. Personally I think the world of airgunning has gone mad with the whole tactical style pcps you see everywhere today. Coming from someone who shoots alot of long range with a 6.5creed in an AI chassis, its really surprising to me that the airgun world followed that tactical route. I love that the hw100 still boasts a walnut sporting stock
I know. "tactical" air guns is having a laugh. The only sort of nutcase that would buy one would have a mental age of about 8. Airgun 12 ft/lbs 6.5 creedmore 2500 ft/lbs.... Bit of a difference!
Hi Stumbled across this , as i have only just in the last month looked at getting an air rifle for my grandson , as I myself have not owned an air rifle for the past 20 years and when I saw the Air Arms in my local gunshop I didn't want to go down the rabbit hole that I went down when I was into them as I use to have alot of Daystate back then and they were constantly changing models and I was a sucker for chasing the latest and greatest so the likes of Daystate can do one in my opinion FX were not really around when I was into them but I can remember Air Arms and they were not constantly changing models and constantly bring out limited editions unlike Daystate
Great video very informative. Mine is a 2012 HW100ks, very happy with it but just lately with my large air refill divers bottle on the gauge it shows 200 bar psi, on the rifle it wont go past 160 psi, the rifle doesent seem to leak from anywhere as it holds the pressure, I have just had the bottle refilled to be sure but still the same. I guess it could be the needle in the rifle gauge gone faulty.
Slightly off topic regards the HW100s. After getting into air rifles I bought 3 weihrauch springers, then got into bench rest target, so after looking at, bsa, daystate and weihrauch went with a HW100s, this was apx 2014. Lovely rifle, great piece of wood for the stock, shop said I was lucky with grain and colour, I digress. The rifle shot well but after 3 weeks I noticed a creaking noise when I raised and lowered the rifle. Very annoying. I found out the cause, it was the action moving in the stock. The bolt was not loose. If you pushed down at the very end of thr action you could see it move. A trip to the shop and it was sent back to Hull cart. It came back with a paper of test shots and a report of no issue. Creaking and movement still there. A phone call from me and I was told it should move, it's a floating design. A look at another HW100 in the shop, showed no movement at all! So did that make the this gun faulty because no movement, it's a floating design. It was sent back again. It came back with a new stock that did not move! The wood colour and grain was awful. What with that and the 5 weeks away after 3 week ownership put me of Weihrauch, sold the rifle and got a Bsa R10 and had no issues, perhaps out the box not as accurate as the HW100 but after I sent it to John bowkett it is every bit as good as the hw100
i agree don’t mind innovation but not just for the sake of changing it . i have a he 98 and in my opinion one of the best break barrels you can get . if it anit broke don’t fix it
The market with the tralala pcp's will soon collapse. Those are nerd air rifles, nerds that make eachother crazy. All followers from that guy in South Africa and Mr. FX is laughing the whole way to the bank.
Got my HW100kt a few months ago and it’s hands down the best rifle I own. Similar tiger striped stock to yours. Quality up there with anything, accuracy up there with anything, consistent, reliable and relatively affordable when compared to all the main flagship rifles that are well into 4 figures. Really think they’re a huge bargain all things considered.
These are cracking rifles I had one in 177 a years ago and it was deadly accurate. Then I put it in for a hw100 kt which now are my preferred ratting rifles and I’m now on my third KT and they are literally bullet proof excuse the pun. These rifles have been around for years and have proven pedigree and I’ve never had a Weihrauch pcp that’s ever let me down yet and I hope I haven’t gone and jinxed myself by saying that. I’m not into all these new pcp airguns with all the bells and whistles, electronics etc as I think there’s too much to go wrong with them and if they do go wrong it’ll cost a fortune to put right. I want a simple straight forward pcp that gets the job done and does it well as do these Weihrauch’s.
That's why i don't like FX air rifles. To much tralala coming out to rip you off. I own only Weihrauch and Air Arms rifles. Good is good and no changes needed. Thanks for showing👍
@@Steve-Cross Right Steve. If you can't get it right with a quality springer you know why PCP's are made 🤣I own a S410 and i like it but there is absolutely no challenge.
Hi , is that a Schmidt & Bender scope you have fitted ? Top scope but i thought it would be unusable at air rifle distances due to the fixed parallax of 100 yards . Kind regards
Hi great video. Ive got the A/A s510 u/s and a hw100 kt laminated and both of them are great to shoot it would be hard for me to say which is the best gun So at Christmas I treated my self to a BLK ghost plus now that is a lovely gun which I know you have one. Keep the good videos coming mate.
Great rifle, I think I get about 12 mags before it's in the yellow. I do find that the trigger on mine is a bit too light compared to the rest of my rifles, but easy to get used to if shooting in isolation
Just bought the bpk version lovely little thing.not quite as accurate as my 2006 kt I had but still bedding in and pellet testing all good fun .reliable solid user friendly will not disappoint.what pellets please.
I used qys heavies in mine until recently. They were good but I felt the rifle could do better. I saw someone on a forum recommending a pellet that doesn't get mentioned too often...jsb exact express. I bought 100 off ebay and gave them a try. All I'll say is the first group I shot with them was a full mag in a 10mm edge to edge group at 30 yards. That'll do me. I bought 5 tins straight away.
All of them 14 shot .177 .20 .22 and that's the new mod with the flat screw end ,older one have a brass bush on the value newer one just delrin and steel ,new one have a push button adjustable cheek
I think your aiming at the uk sub 12 with this video against fx company as they are focusing more on the American and south african market I believe but if you are wanting an fac then with high power in any caliber the would you really pick one of these up no they don't do big power you got to fx, agt, huben k1, rti, edgun ect
dont forget rapid air weapons hm1000 and tm1000 i own a tm1000 and a hw and an s510 i beilve those three are the best most dependable airguns on the planet. my tm1000 is bar far the most accurate, its thats good its sick

Sounds like a sticking needle on bottle gauge to me

It is a schmidt and bender, its very low mag and has a small objective so parallax isnt really an issue
