I purchased a mint condition second-hand one about a year ago & could not be happier with it. Laser accurate, I like the weight & the way everything works (lever, mag) and the trigger is so light. Very quiet too. The guy I brought it from had two mags & four 3-D printed ones, which work every bit as well as the original metal ones. Worth buying a few extra online (e-bay etc...) as you can then go through a whole fill without having to reload. I'm getting out all 84 pellets in .177 without losing accuracy. The guy I brought it from was an ex-army armourer & seemed to know his stuff as he had a collection of air-rifles, rim & centre fire guns in his garage workshop. He recommended using the JSB Jumbo Diabalo as he'd found the HW-100KT likes them the best & they've been doing the business for me. My only complaint is that it makes shooting too easy, so I take my old

I'm new to air gunning and hope to buy one soon. One of the aspects that I am weighing while watching videos is the sound level while shooting. Your background music makes it difficult to get a grasp on the sound level while shooting. Just a suggestion, could you lower the level of the background music to allow a little better evaluation of shot sound level for better viewer evaluation? Maybe even consider providing a decibel reading.
Hi Duke. Thanks for watching. To be honest, I think that a recording with a microphone would give you a false impression of noise level anyway. Most 12 ft/lbs rifles fitted with a silencer are pretty quiet. In fact, the impact noise is usually louder than the actual shot. The HW100 with a Weihrauch silencer is particularly quiet.
I was watching for the same, just wanted to hear it w/o any distraction. Still a good review but Im tied between this, a S510 or R10! I joined a rifle club but up to now I can't find any members with one I can try out
Hi Richard. My hw100kt is arriving Saturday! Now I've ordered a hills mk5 to fill it when it runs out but will the hills pump fit or do I have to buy a compatible adapter or will the gun already have one?? Atb David
Hi Dave. Now the long wait! Your rifle will come with a fill probe. You can screw it directly to the line on the pump but that will make it a lot harder to use the pump with any other rifle (as you'd have to unscrew your HW probe each time). You might want to try a quick fit adapter. You probe screws into the end and then the adapter snaps on and off the filler line. They don't cost much. Hi Ashley. Thanks very much. I'm not sure the longer barrel versions would necessarily give you much better accuracy in practice. Maybe if you are shooting over long distance and your technique is flawless. I know some K owners whose rifles are extremely accurate. The other thing you should consider is shot count. The HW100S and HW100T offer 100+ shots per fill whereas the K series are 50-75 for .177 / .22. Thanks for watching.

Hi Mark. Don't be put off by the boo boys. If you ask enough people you'll find a horror story about nearly every brand of air rifle, but you'll find plenty more telling you pleased they are. You could buy an HW100 and have a problem, but you could buy Daystate, FX, Brocock , Air Arms - that's why they come with warranties. The HW100 is one of the best-selling and most popular rifles for a reason - they are extremely good. I have a 2006 HW100S. I've had to replace a couple of seals during that time, but I've had seals go on plenty of other rifles as well. It is laser accurate and consistently 11 + ft/lbs. The KT model does have a lower shot count simply because it is a smaller capacity rifle. If shot count is an issue for you, think about the longer 'S' models; I get 70+ shots per fill from my rifle. If you need more than that, then a bottle rifle could be what you are looking at. Depending on your budget - BSA R10, FX Impact/Maverick, Daystate Wolverine R/Red Wolf, Brocock Sniper XR and plenty more will pretty much last you a tin of pellets. We've reviewed most of those rifles, and plenty more on the channel. Hopefully they will help you make a decision. Again - don't believe all the horror stories. Good luck.

Just bought one of these in 22 this week in green synthetic after four years of excellent performance from my hw110 st. It was time for an upgrade and a new rat basher and workhorse that would possibly take an odd knock now and then and that’s the reason for my choice in the green synthetic. Granted it’s not as attractive as the wood but this is a tool to do a job in all conditions. I’m a Weihrauch man through and through and I’ve never had a problem with any of them and I like their rotary discs for the ease of loading especially as I have a bit of dexterity problems and these work great for me especially when shooting at night, no fiddling about taking apart magazines like other well known makes do have, remove this rotate that drop a pellet in twist that and all that malarkey, too fiddly for me.
They are great rifles aren't they? I'd imagine a .22 would be an ideal rat rifle. Have you got NV on top? I took my HW100S .177 to the range yesterday - haven't shot it for at least a year and it was spot on, didn't even have to adjust the scope to re-zero!. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new rifle.
As always, an excellent video, BUT the continual bell tone and music which you have recently introduced is very irritating and distracting. I started watching your vids as I appreciate your calm, no nonsense and informative style. For me, It’s unnecessary and detracts from your review.
Hi Dave. Most gun shops will stock the HW100 KT. Some will offer a door to door delivery service, others will require you to go in person to make the purchase. I'd be surprised if your local gun shop doesn't stock the HW100 as it is a top seller.

@@Seamaster1963 Sorry about that. 'K' stands for Kurz (German for 'short') and 'S' for 'Sporter' - is that your understanding too? And you're right re magazine capacity. I said early on that the mag takes 10 pellets - a slip of the tongue as I correctly said '14' later on. And with regards to shot count, Weihrauch quotes 50 and 110, which is about what I said in the film. The mistake I made was that I referred to those numbers for .22 whereas they should have been for .177. Thanks for keeping me honest!

@@airgunextra I have yes, I’ve got a pard 007 and does the job nicely cracking bit of kit for the money.
@@PiperX1X I couldn't agree more. I was out with one ratting last might in fact.
Dear Sir! What is the weight of the gun?
Hi. It varies by model. This should help www.weihrauch-sport.de/pre-charged?lang=en
What bullets were you using?
Hi Alastair. I believe they were Air Arms Diabolo Field.
@@airgunextra Thank you.
@@alastair9894 You're welcome. JSB Exacts, Daystate Sovereigns and H&N Baracudas go well in it as well.
As always, an excellent video, BUT the continual bell tone and music which you have recently introduced is very irritating and distracting. I started watching your vids as I appreciate your calm, no nonsense and informative style. For me, It’s unnecessary and detracts from your review.
I haven't a clue about your hobby just looked it on RUclips any suggestions
Thanks guys
Wheres the best place to buy this here in the uk any advice would be good ??
Hi Dave. Most gun shops will stock the HW100 KT. Some will offer a door to door delivery service, others will require you to go in person to make the purchase. I'd be surprised if your local gun shop doesn't stock the HW100 as it is a top seller.
@@airgunextra thanks Richard I had a old wierach. 22 years ago great air gun but this one is another level 👌can u recommend a good pump (hand/stirrup)?
@@daveshaw5293 Hi Dave. The Hills stirrup pump is about the best I've used. Still hard work though. If you have a dive shop nearby, an investment in a compressed air bottle save a lot of sweat.
@@airgunextra thanks Mate 👍

Nice review ,but you could have made a better group with it .
I think that's true every time I pick up a rifle! Thanks for watching.
@@airgunextra respect to you ,but I managed to do one pellet size group from 40 y with hw100 .22 rated !
That's great shooting.
@@airgunextra thanks mate👍
Range ? 20 ? 50?
question? what?
Too much wrong information I’m afraid. I’ve enjoyed many of your other videos but you haven’t researched this one well enough.
Sorry about that Seamaster. What did I get wrong?
You got your designations of k and s wrong, the number of shots in a mag and the shotcount to name three without watching it again.
I should add that I’ve subscribed to your channel and that I find your reviews very informative. I love the matter of fact way you deliver your reviews.
Alpha Militaria Yes mate, but you can have a Sporter K (KS) or a Thumbhole K (KT). So it’s not K or Sporter, it’s KS, KT, and the full length rifles are designated S or T. Do you see what I mean?
