Very good video, I've never seen an HW100 completely disassembled and I have to say: I've had two of them for many years now, but *now* I understand so many things that I could only wonder about before! Thanks for that ! But i have some questions,
    - where did you get the adapter for the big bottle and the big bottle ?
    - how many PSI (bar) are in the bottle, ml of compressed air and for how many shoots ?
    - where did you get that nice green shaft ?
    - do you prefer O-rings made out of NBR (black ones) or PTFE etc (white ones) ?
    - the barrel has no suppressor, does he ? Must be very loud.
    - ever thougt about a super short "bullpup" based on your design ?
Thanks if you can take your time to answer, greetings from *_germany_*

Hi , just one thing I wasn't sure of is how did you retain the PTFE giudes you fitted to the hammer and adjuster, I think it's an excellent idea to smooth out the action and also
kill some of the buzz that you hear on firing.

Adjustable hammer spring for fine tuning.. Also the hammer spring retaining shaft can be removed without cutting the head off it

Great video, you're obviously an expert air-gunsmith. I wonder how long HW100's remain airtight out of the box and lying around, I understand they should be left charged, opposite to a springer/relaxed main spring. With a good springer, you know it's always going be ready to go, but with PCP's do they start loosing air after a coupe of years? Perhaps these days, they are made to high enough tolerances/valves, they can keep within 95%-100% airtight over say a decade, however, I have a feeling you probably need to get a HW100 serviced every 3or 4 years to keep it performing as it should.

Excellent bit of lathe work on the hammer but trying to find someone to do lathe work for ptfe guide has proved difficult for me to find. what size ptfe tube is used and how much turning down on the rod was done .Think this is excellent way of reducing any spring vibration. once again excellent bit of lathe work.

Great video as always ,at 0:52 ,after replacing the o ring that goes after the ball, air stopped from entering the regulator block ! So I had to loosen the valve that holds the ball and small spring! This ,of course , does not work if you want to change between cylinders ! Do you have any theoretical explanation to this problem ?
    Cheers

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 года назад +1

There are a couple of different version of the O rings, this one does not use a O ring but rather a rubber seal at the bottom, I put an additional O ring in the bottom and it behaved the way you described, if you are having problems I would recommend HW100 tuning, he would be able to tell you which models need which seal. Thanks for watching.

My HW100 developed a leak after about 5 years of excellent service. I followed your video and have replaced the O rings. There is a persistent leak that I finally tracked down to the threaded hole where the action is screwed to the wooden stock. The hole next to where the regulator gauge is attached when setting regulator pressure. Can you kindly suggest how I stop this leak? Thanks.

I just received two sets of replacement o-rings and a regulator gauge from HW100 Tuning. I will start by checking the regulator setting , I understand that it should be around 90 bars am I correct?
Since new the gun has shot around 6000 pellets, maybe as you suggest it should be replaced even so since I might have to heat the sealed AT in order to be able to adjust the hammer.
Regarding sending to HW100 Tuning , it might be problematic as I live in Malta
